        Strategic Cooperation between Xu Jing Route and the Belt and Road Initiative

        한중경제 협력을 가속화하기 위해서는 고대의 한·중관계를 고찰하여 미래 지향적인 관계를 창출하는 패러다임의 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 고대의 동아시아의 해상문화와 경제교류가 동아시아 해상실크로드로 형성되는 과정을 검토하였다. 특히, 고려시기 중국 사신인 서긍이 중국 닝보에서 고려 벽란정에 이르는 항로를 통하여 교류를 진전시켰다는 의미에서 지어진 서긍항로의 형성과정을 고찰하고, 서긍항로를 복원하여 중국과 한국의 경제협력을 도모하는 차원에서 아래의 경제협력을 제안한다. 첫째, 한중간 경제협력의 새로운 협력 공간을 제시하고, 새로운 형식의 경제 협력 메커니즘을 구축한다. 둘째, 현재 추진 중인 새만금에 중국특구를 조성하여 양국의 경제촉진과 가치사슬의 분업을 위한 플랫폼을 구축하여 무역자유화, 투자 편의성을 제공한다. 셋째, 한중간 해양 산업의 연계, 해양관련 협력메커니즘을 구축하고 해난 협력시스템 협력을 강화하는 등 한·중 해양협력을 강화한다. 마지막으로 한·중 해양문화유산 보호의 필요성을 제시하였다서긍항로는 중국 일대일로와 한국을 연계시키는 새로운 추진 동력이다. 서긍항로의 중심에 위치한 새만금에 중국특구를 조성하여 향후 동북아 지역의 경제를 견인하는 요람이 될 것으로 기대한다. In order to accelerate the development of China-Korea economic cooperation, it is necessary to study the relations between China and South Korea in the ancient times and build the future sustainable development model. The research focuses on verifying the gradual development process from the ancient East Asian maritime cultural and economic exchanges to East Asian Maritime Silk Road. In particular, it studies the formation of Xu Jing Route based on the Chinese envoy Xu Jing’s route from Ningbo in China to Bilan Pavilion in Goryo during the Period of Goryo in Korea which promoted the exchanges between two countries, and puts forward the following economic cooperation proposals for the economic recovery in China and South Korea by restoring Xu Jing Route. The first is to propose the new space of economic cooperation between China and South Korea and build a new model of economic cooperation. The second is to establish the special zone of China in Saemangeum, build the cooperation platform for promoting the economic development and sharing the value chain between two countries and achieve trade liberalization and investment facilitation. The third is to strengthen the connection of the marine industries between two countries, build the marine collaboration system and intensify the shipwreck cooperation system, etc. The last is to realize the necessity of the protection of China-Korea cultural heritages. Xu Jing Route is the new drive to connect China’s Belt and Road Initiative to South Korea. It is hoped that the special zone of China in Saemangeum which is located at the center of Xu Jing Route can become the cradle of leading the economy in Northeast Asia in the future.

        The Simulation Study of the Plasmonic Coupling Effect for the Ag Nanoparticle-nanowire Structure

        This paper presents a simulation study of the photon-to-plasmon coupling effect for the silver (Ag)nanoparticle-nanowire structure. The calculated results show that the in-coupling light efficiencydepends on many factors, involving the gap between the nanoparticle and the nanowire, the sizeof the nanoparticle, the wavelength of the incident light and the dielectric environment. Undercertain conditions, the in-coupling light efficiency of such a structure can be increased as comparedwith that of a single nanowire, suggesting that this nanoparticle-nanowire system can be used asan interesting structure for subwavelength waveguides, optical sensors and many other applicationsin the field of nanophotonics technology.

        <B>Abstract</B><P>A taxonomic study of the genus <I>Porpidia</I> in western China revealed two species hitherto unknown to science, <I>Porpidia squamosa</I> and <I>P. shangrila</I>, along with three new records for the country: <I>P. flavicunda, P. soredizodes</I> and <I>P. thomsonii</I>. Detailed taxonomic descriptions, ecological and chemical characters, and illustrations are provided for the new taxa, and brief taxonomic descriptions provided for the newly reported taxa. A key to all known Chinese <I>Porpidia</I> species is also provided.</P>

        Harmonic Analysis of the Effects of Inverter Nonlinearity on the Offline Inductance Identification of PMSMs Using High Frequency Signal Injection

        Offline inductance identification of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) is essential for the design of the closed-loop controller and position observer in sensorless vector controlled drives. On the base of the offline inductance identification method combining direct current (DC) offset and high frequency (HF) voltage injection which is fulfilled at standstill, this paper investigates the inverter nonlinearity effects on the inductance identification while considering harmonics in the induced HF current. The negative effects on d-q axis inductance identifications using HF signal injection are analyzed after self-learning of the inverter nonlinearity characteristics. Then, both the voltage error and the harmonic current can be described. In addition, different cases of voltage error distribution with different injection conditions are classified. The effects of inverter nonlinearities on the offline inductance identification using HF injection are validated on a 2.2 kW interior PMSM drive.

      • Wintersweet‐Flower‐Like CoFe <sub>2</sub> O <sub>4</sub> /MWCNTs Hybrid Material for High‐Capacity Reversible Lithium Storage

        <P>CoFe(2)O(4)/multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) hybrid materials were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. Field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy analysis confirmed the morphology of the as-prepared hybrid material resembling wintersweet flower 'buds on branches', in which CoFe(2)O(4) nanoclusters, consisting of nanocrystals with a size of 5-10 nm, are anchored along carbon nanotubes. When applied as an anode material in lithium ion batteries, the CoFe(2)O(4)/MWCNTs hybrid material exhibited a high performance for reversible lithium storage. In particular, the hybrid anode material delivered reversible lithium storage capacities of 809, 765, 539, and 359 mA h g(-1) at current densities of 180, 450, 900, and 1800 mA g(-1), respectively. The superior performance of CoFe(2)O(4)/MWCNTs hybrid materials could be ascribed to the synergistic pinning effect of the wintersweet-flower-like nanoarchitecture. This strategy could also be applied to synthesize other metal oxide/CNTs hybrid materials as high-capacity anode materials for lithium ion batteries.</P>

      • A Novel MAP Kinase Gene in Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.), GhMAPK, is Involved in Response to Diverse Environmental Stresses

        The mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade is one of the major and evolutionally conserved signaling pathways and plays pivotal role in the regulation of stress and developmental signals in plants. Here, a novel gene, termed Gossypium hirsutum MAPK (GhMAPK), was isolated from cotton. The full-length cDNA of GhMAPK encodes for a 372 amino acid protein that contains all 11 of the MAPK conserved subdomains and the phosphorylationactivation motif, TEY. Amino acid sequence alignment revealed that GhMAPK shared high identity with group-C MAPK in plants and showed 83~89% similarities with MAPKs from Arabidopsis, apricot, pea, petunia, and tobacco. Southern blot analysis indicated that the GhMAPK belonged to a multygene family in cotton. Two introns were found within the region of genomic sequence. Northern blot analysis revealed that the transcripts of GhMAPK accumulated markedly when the cotton seedlings were subjected to various abiotic stimuli such as wounding, cold (4$^{\circ}C$), or salinity stress; Furthermore, GhMAPK was upregulated by the exogenous signaling molecules, such as salicylic acid (SA) and hydrogen peroxide ($H_2O_2C$), as well as pathogen attacks. These results indicate that the GhMAPK, which has a high degree of identity with group-C plant MAPKs, may also play an important role in response to environmental stresses.

        Covered Stenting Is an Effective Option for Traumatic Carotid Pseudoaneurysm with Promising Long-Term Outcome

        Objective : Covered stenting is an optional strategy for traumatic carotid pseudoaneurysm, especially in malignant conditions of potential rupture, but the long-term outcomes are not clear. Our aim was to determine if covered stenting is an effective option for traumatic carotid pseudoaneurysm with promising long-term outcomes. Methods : Self-expanding Viabahn and balloon-expandable Willis covered stents were separately implanted for extra- and intracranial traumatic carotid pseudoaneurysm. The covered stent was placed across the distal and proximal pseudoaneurysm leakage under roadmap guidance. Procedural success was defined as technical success (complete exclusion of the pseudoaneurysm and patency of the parent artery) without a primary end point (any stroke or death within 30 days after the procedure). Long-term outcomes were evaluated as ischemic stroke in the territory of the qualifying artery by clinical follow-up through outpatient or telephone consultation and as the exclusion of the pseudoaneurysm and patency of the parent artery by imaging follow-up through angiography. Results : Five patients with traumatic carotid pseudoaneurysm who underwent covered stenting were enrolled. The procedural success rate was 100%. No ischemic stroke in the territory of the qualifying artery was recorded in any of the five patients during a mean clinical follow-up of 44±16 months. Complete exclusion of the pseudoaneurysm and patency of the parent artery were maintained in all five patients during a mean imaging follow-up of 39±16 months. Conclusion : Satisfactory procedural and long-term outcomes were obtained, suggesting that covered stenting is an effective option for traumatic carotid pseudoaneurysm.

      • Nausea and Vomiting after Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization for Hepatocellular Carcinoma: Incidence and Risk Factor Analysis

        Background: Nausea and vomiting after transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) are common in clinical practice, but few studies have reported the incidence and risk factors of such events. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the incidence and risk factors of nausea and vomiting after TACE for HCC. Methods: This study was a single-center retrospective analysis of a prospectively maintained database. Between May 2010 and October 2012, 150 patients with HCC were analyzed for incidence and preprocedural risk factors. Results: The incidence of postembolization nausea and vomiting was 38.8% and 20.9%, respectively, in patients with HCC. Patients who developed nausea had lower levels (<100 IU/L) of serum alkaline phosphatase (ALP) compared to those without nausea ($123.04{\pm}69.38$ vs. $167.41{\pm}138.95$, respectively, p=0.044). Female gender correlated to a higher incidence of nausea as well (p=0.024). Patients who developed vomiting, compared to those who did not, also had lower levels (<100 IU/L) of serum ALP ($112.52{\pm}62.63$ vs. $160.10{\pm}127.80$, respectively, p=0.010), and serum alanine transferase (ALT) ($35.61{\pm}22.87$ vs. $4.97{\pm}29.62$, respectively, p=0.045). There were no statistical significances in the incidences of nausea and vomiting between male patients over 50 years old and female patients who have entered menopause (p=0.051 and p=0.409, respectively). Multivariate analysis by logistic regression analysis demonstrated that female gender and ALP>100 IU/L were the most independent predictive factors of postembolization nausea (odds ratio (OR): 3.271, 95% CI: 1.176-9.103, p=0.023 and OR: 0.447, 95% CI: 0.216-0.927, p=0.030, respectively). ALP>100 IU/L was also the most independent predictive risk factor of postembolization vomiting (OR: 0.389, 95% CI: 0.159-0.952, p=0.039). Conclusions: Postembolizaiton nausea and vomiting are common in patients with HCC. Recognition of the risk factors presented above before TACE is important for early detection and proper management of postembolization nausea and vomiting. Nevertheless, future studies are required.

      • Association Between Genetic Polymorphism of XRCC1 Gene and Risk of Glioma in а Chinese Population

        Background: Gliomas are the most common type of primary brain tumor in adults, and the X-ray repair complementing group 1 gene (XRCC1) is an important candidate gene influencing its risk. The objective of this study was to detect the influence of XRCC1 genetic polymorphisms on glioma risk. Materials and Methods: A total of 629 glioma patients and 641 cancer-free subjects were enrolled in this case-control study. The genotypes of the c.1471G>A genetic polymorphism were determined by created restriction site-polymerase chain reaction (CRS-PCR) and DNA sequencing methods. The influence of the XRCC1 genetic polymorphism on glioma risk was evaluated by association analysis. Results: Our data indicated that the alleles/genotype of this genetic variant was statistically associated with glioma risk. The AA genotype was statistically associated with the increased risk of glioma compared to the GG wild genotype (odds ratios (OR) = 1.89, 95% CI 1.25-2.87, P = 0.003). The allele-A may contribute to increased the susceptibility to glioma (OR = 1.23, 95% CI 1.04-1.46, P = 0.017). Conclusions: These preliminary findings indicate that the c.1471G>A genetic polymorphism of XRCC1 has the potential to influence glioma susceptibility, and might be used as molecular marker for assessing glioma risk.
