This study is intended to investigate the values in sports of the juveniles as socioeconomic background. Three major facotrs are set to accomplish this research. In this study, stratified cluster random sampling method was used and 1320 high school students who live in Seoul were extracted but collected 1116 students. In this study questionnaires were re-arragned to suit to this study based by normally using questions to ask socioeconomic background, and by the re-arranged questions by 4 Korean scholars and researchers from the Evarett(1962), the Allport, the Vernon, and the Lindzey(1960) to ask values in sports. To analyse the data, the mean, the standard deviation, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and discriminant analysis were used. The conclusions of this study are following. First, the values in sports are differ according to the charactors of the students. Second, There are difference in the values in sports according to the socioeconomic background. Third, this study shows the values in sports could be classified and predict partly subjective social classes.
Helicobacter pylori와 대장균의 Shuttle Vector 개발

In this study, a vehicle vector using cryptic plasmids was constructed for gene transfer in Helicobacter pylori. pHP51(3.9 kb) and pHP489(1.2 kb) were selected for constructing vectors from cryptic plasmid of H. pylori isolates in Korea. The HindⅢ-digestedDNA fragment(1.2kb) of pHP489 and 1.6kb DNA fragment of pHP51 were ligated with a kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ) from C. jejuni to produce the recombinant plasmids pHP489K and pHP51K, respectively. Transformation frequency of pHP51K by electroporation was low. But pHP489K could be effectively transformed into various H. pylori strains. In order to design an intermdiate vehicle vector for gene transfer into H. pylori, pBlueHP489K was prepared by recloning pHP489K DNA into pBluescript and pTZ19R vector. This vector permitted the DNA fragment containing pHP489 sequence, aph3'-Ⅲ, and cloned DNA to be cut and self-ligated in the SacⅠ site after cloning. ureA and ureB gene were inserted into pBlueHP489K, resulting in pBlueHP489K/AB. The DNA fragment containing pHP489, kanamycin resistance gene(aph3'-Ⅲ), and urease structural gene was cut away from pBlueHP489K/AB and self-ligated to generate pBlueHP489K/AB. pBlueHP489K/AB made urease-negative H. pylori strains restore their urease activity. By this experiment, pBlueHP489K was confirmed to be the vehicle system for transferring H. pylori genes.

Background: The advancement of treatment with direct-acting antiviral (DAA) agents has improved the cure rate of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection close to 100%. The aim of our study was to assess the real-world effectiveness and safety of DAA regimens for the treatment of patients with chronic HCV genotype 2. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients treated with sofosbuvir plus ribavirin (SOF + RBV) or glecaprevir/pibrentasvir (G/P) for chronic HCV genotype 2 infection at seven university hospitals in the Korean southeast region. Results: SOF + RBV therapy produced an 89% and 98.3% sustained virologic response 12 week (SVR12) after treatment completion in the full analysis set and per-protocol set, respectively, and the corresponding values for G/P therapy were 89.5% and 99.2%, respectively. The difference between the treatments was probably because 6.2% (59/953) of patients in the SOF + RBV group did not complete the treatment and 9.8% (14/143) in the G/P group did not test HCV RNA after treatment completion. Adverse events (A/Es) were reported in 59.7% (569/953) and 25.9% (37/143) of the SOF + RBV and G/P groups, respectively. In the SOF + RBV group, 12 (1.26%) patients discontinued treatment owing to A/Es, whereas no patients discontinued treatment because of A/Es in the G/P group. Conclusion: In both treatment groups, SVR was high when treatment was completed. However, there was a high dropout rate in the SOF + RBV group, and the dropout analysis showed that these were patients with liver cirrhosis (LC; 43/285, 15.1%), especially those with decompensated LC (12/32, 37.5%). Therefore, an early initiation of antiviral therapy is recommended for a successful outcome before liver function declines. Furthermore, patients with decompensated LC who are considered candidates for SOF + RBV treatment should be carefully monitored to ensure that their treatment is completed, especially those with low hemoglobin and high alanine transaminase.

본 연구에서는 국내 해양오염 준설퇴적물을 활용한 시제품 제작 및 역학적, 환경적 실험을 통한 건설재료로서의 활용성을 조사하였다. 울산 방어진에서 수거한 준설토로 고화처리토 및 경량혼합토 공시체를 제작하여 압축특성 및 응력-변형 거동 등 물리적 특성을 파악하는 다양한 공학적 조사를 수행하였다. 해양오염토 유효활용을 위해 물리적 특성 외에 환경실험도 실시하였다. 제안된 준설토사 처리활용기준에 적용하였을 때는 구리성분 만이 활용가능기준을 약간 초과하였고 준설토 활용우려 기준에는 모든 기준에 적합하여서 건설재료로 재활용하여도 환경적인 유해성은 없는 것으로 나타났다. 매립복토재로서 활용성 검토를 위한 준설토의 입도분석, 다짐시험, 아터버그 한계시험, 비중시험 및 단위중량시험 등을 수행한 결과, 모든 조건의 고화처리토는 매립작업을 원활히 하기위한 강도(대략 50㎪)를 만족하였다. In this study, beneficial use of ocean contaminated sediments were investigated by laboratory and environmental tests, and their prototypes were released. Dredged material from Ulsan port is used for making cement treated samples and lightweight foamed samples, and various engineering tests were performed to identify the compressibility and stress-strain behaviors. Environmental tests were also performed for the beneficial uses. The values of Cu are a little higher than the suggested standard possible for reusing dredged material and equal to the suggested standard alarming for reusing dredged material, which shows environmental harmfulness for the reuse of construction material. In addition, particle size distribution, compaction test, Atter-berg limit tests, specific gravity test, and unit weight test were performed to investigate the use of landfill cover materials. The shear strengths of cement treated soils were found to be enough for reclamation works.

A 43-year-old man presented with dry cough and right chest pain. Chest X-ray shows normal and chest CT scan revealed thin-walled cysts of various sizes and nodules in both upper lobe. Abdominal CT scan revealed multiple low attenuated nodules in liver and multiple abdominal lymph nodes enlargement. Liver biopsy was performed. Light microscopic examination revealed proliferation and infiltration of Langerhans cell. Immunohistochemically, Langerhans cells showed strong cytoplasmic staining with S-100 protein and CD1a. He was diagnosed Langerhans` cell histiocytosis involving lung and liver. (Korean J Med 69:S929-S933, 2005)

The Cruise industry, a composite industry of shipping, shipbuilding, and tourism, has been steadily growing for the past 30 years. Cruise tourism is a form of service trade in which domestic and foreign tourists visit a port of call in many countries and provide a great value addition to the local economy of the region. The purpose of this study is to review research findings and trends of domestic and foreign research studies by themes and analyze the characteristics of groups of foreign cruise tourists in terms of their positive and negative recommendations based on the survey data of foreign tourists visiting Korea in 2015. Results indicate the need for expansion of the cruise inbound market as well as operation of a national cruise line. Moreover, this study suggests the importance of recommendation through positive word of mouth in the marketing activities of the cruise industry in order to attract foreign cruise tourists. In addition, there is a need for cruise industry players to customize not only tourism information content, products and services, but also to develop products and services based on tourists’ personal characteristics and travel participation.
