        Bimetallic Au–Sn/AC catalysts for acetylene hydrochlorination

        A series of Au–Sn/AC catalysts for acetylene hydrochlorination were prepared by an incipient wetnessimpregnation method and characterized by BET, XPS, TEM, TPR, XRD, ICP-AES and TPD techniques. It isindicated that Au1Sn1/AC catalyst shows the highest activity and stability with the 95% acetyleneconversion after 48 h reaction under the conditions of 170 8C and an acetylene gas hourly space velocityof 720 h 1. The Sn additive can make the Au species dispersed well and weaken the occurrence of cokedeposition, as well as inhibit the reduction of Au3+ to Au0, thereby improving the catalytic activity andstability.

        High-Quality Coarse-to-Fine Fruit Detector for Harvesting Robot in Open Environment

        Fruit detection in orchards is one of the most crucial tasks for designing the visual system of an automated harvesting robot. It is the first and foremost tool employed for tasks such as sorting, grading, harvesting, disease control, and yield estimation, etc. Efficient visual systems are crucial for designing an automated robot. However, conventional fruit detection methods always a trade-off with accuracy, real-time response, and extensibility. Therefore, an improved method is proposed based on coarse-to-fine multitask cascaded convolutional networks (MTCNN) with three aspects to enable the practical application. First, the architecture of Fruit-MTCNN was improved to increase its power to discriminate between objects and their backgrounds. Then, with a few manual labels and operations, synthetic images and labels were generated to increase the diversity and the number of image samples. Further, through the online hard example mining (OHEM) strategy during training, the detector retrained hard examples. Finally, the improved detector was tested for its performance that proved superior in predicted accuracy and retaining good performances on portability with the low time cost. Based on performance, it was concluded that the detector could be applied practically in the actual orchard environment.

        Seismic Performance of a New Type Concrete-Filled Precast Concrete Tubular Column

        To investigate the seismic behaviour of a new type of concrete-filled precast concrete tubular column, five concrete-filled precast concrete tubular columns varying in concrete strength and stirrup ratio were tested under cyclic loading. The behaviours of the failure mode, hysteretic curve, skeleton curve, bearing capacity, deformability, displacement ductility and energy dissipation were studied to evaluate the seismic resistance performance of the columns. The results show that the failure mode of the concrete-filled precast concrete tubular columns was flexural failure, and the hysteretic curve had a plump shuttle shape, which indicates that the concrete-filled precast concrete tubular column has good energy dissipating capacity. The bearing capacity of the specimen was increased with increasing concrete strength of the precast tube. The stirrup ratio has little effect on its bearing capacity, whereas it has a significant effect on the deformation, ductility and energy dissipation. The story drift of the specimens can meet the requirements of the elastic plastic story drift limit value of 1/50 of the code in China, and the ductility coefficient is greater than 3, which demonstrates that the concrete-filled precast concrete tubular column has excellent seismic properties.

        Identification of acidic species extracted from heavy crude oil by fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry

        Acidic species were extracted from heavy crude oil by alcohol-alkali solution and ion exchange resin. Theacidic species in the obtained extracts and extracted crude oil were characterized by negative-ion ESI FT-ICR MS. Theanalytical results indicated that some class species, O2, O1, N1, N1O1, N1O2, N1S1 and O2S1 etc., were identified in thenegative-ion spectrum, in which O2, O1 and N1 class showed much higher abundance than others. Compared to O1 andN1 class, O2 class could be extracted from heavy crude oil by using the two methods more efficiently, which meansthat a great majority of O2 class can be extracted; meanwhile, almost half of O1 and N1 class still remained in residualphase. Detailed analysis demonstrated that alcohol-alkali method was effective for extracting O2, O1 and N1 class withlower molecular weight; ion exchange method, however, was helpful to extract higher molecular weight O1 and N1class and showed almost equal extraction selectivity to all kind of O2 class.

      • The Study of Influencing Factors of Mobile E-commerce Software Use Intention-based on TAM and TRA

        With the wide popularity of mobile devices, e-commerce software in the mobile client forms a larger consumer market, which makes the volume of e-commerce transactions having a wide range of growth. As the consumers have a frequent contact with mobile devices, which makes consumers pay more attention to security and entertainment of the e-commerce software. Past mobile e-business research typically focus on the related factors about transaction process, like interface design, services and user experience, but seldom study the factors about consumers. On the basis of the TAM, this paper not only added perceived security and perceived entertainment, but also the consumers’ personality factors like subjective norm in TRA, into the model. The study shows that PU, PEU, PS and PE all will have direct or indirect effects on use attitude and use intention, and subjective norms and use attitude will directly affect the consumers' use intention. Through the empirical analysis we found that e-commerce operators not only make the consumers experience more of usefulness and ease of use, security, and entertainment in the technology and services, but also improve the popularity with the aid of the mainstream media propaganda and star power to enhance the public's normative beliefs, which will ultimately affect the user behavior of the consumers.

        Genetic analysis of roots and shoots in rice seedling by association mapping

        The vigorous shoots and roots help to improve drought resistance and post-transplanting recovery in rice seedlings (Oryza sativa L.). Hundreds of loci related to root system have been identified recently, but little research has been done on shoot traits, and the relationship between roots and shoots development is also still unclear. The objective of this study was to identify associated loci for roots and shoots in rice seedlings as well as to screen pleiotropic QTLs involved in coordinated development of roots and shoots. Using mini core collection of 273 cultivated rice accessions and 280 simple-sequence repeat markers, we investigated six traits [root length (RL), root thickness (RT), root weight (RW), shoot length (SL), shoot weight (SW) and ratio of root-to-shoot mass] in seedlings. Study was performed in hydroponic medium and genetic analysis was performed by association mapping using general linear model (GLM) with population structure (Q) and mixed linear model (MLM) involving Q and familial relatedness (K). Two subgroups indica and japonica showed significant differences in RT, RW and SW. Maximum correlation was observed between RW and SW. Using GLM 65 QTLs for root and 43 QTLs associated with shoot traits were detected. Among them, seven QTLs were present between RL and RW and five common QTLs were detected between SL and SW with high phenotypic variation effects (PVEs). Two key pleiotropic QTLs were also identified involved in collaborative development of roots and shoots in rice seedlings. Importantly, 17 and 10 QTLs were identified for root and shoot traits respectively in both studies of GLM and MLM. More common QTLs with high PVEs between root and shoot traits suggested that longitudinal growth (RL and SL) played an important role in accumulation of biomass (RW and SW). Considering the obvious phenotypic differences and fewer common QTLs between indica and japonica, we suggested that there could be different mechanisms of seedling development between both subpopulations. Key pleiotropic QTLs and QTLs identified for root and shoot traits in both studies of GLM and MLM could be preferentially used in marker-assisted breeding for strong rice seedling.
