Based on rainfall over upper basin, dam operation would be used. There are some questions in convertion point rainfall measured in upper basin to areal rainfall. Since the rainfall varies with basin elevation, orientation, density of rain gauges and topological distribution of mountains. Among these elements, basin elevation would influence the distribution of rainfall over a basin. Therefore, this paper aims at rainfall distribution according to basin elevation in the Nam River dam basin where there have complex terrain. Authors can be formulated the relation between basin elevation and rainfall depth in the Nam River dam basin.

Tropical inhabitants are able to tolerate heat through permanent residence in the tropics. To clarify the peripheral mechanisms of the suppressed thermal sweating in tropical natives, sweating responses to acetylcholine (ACh), a primary transmitter of the sudomotor innervation, were compared between healthy Korean and African males. ACh was iontophoretically administered on the forearm. Directly activated and axon reflex-mediated sweat responses were evaluated by quantitative sudomotor axon reflex test (QSART). The sweating of axon reflex (nicotinic receptor) onset-time was 0.42 min shorter (P<0.01) and the sweat volumes (muscarinic receptors) were 75% (P<0.01) and the ACh sweat volumes of axon reflex (nicotinic receptor) 79% higher (P<0.01) in the Koreans than the Africans. Iodine-impregnated paper method revealed that sweat gland density was 45.1% higher (P<0.01) and sweat gland output per single gland was 18.4% larger (P<0.001) in the Koreans compared to the Africans. These results indicate that suppressed thermal sweating in Africans is, at least in part, attributed to the suppressed glandular sensitivity to ACh through both recruitment of sweat glands and sweat output per each gland.

Welding characteristics of Inconel 600 Alloy using a continuous wave Nd:YAG laser are experimentally investigated. The major process parameters studied in the present laser welding experiment were position of focus, laser power, travel speed. The gap and offset maintained as small as possible. Optical microscope were used to investigate the microstructures of the welded zone. This study shows the result of the tension experiments. And then this paper used the Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry to present the welding residual stress in welds. The follow conclusions can be drawn the laser power and travel speed have a pronounced effect the fusion zone size and shape.
한국인 정상 성인의 하부요추 횡돌기 단면적에 대한 연구

A posterolateral intertransverse process fusion is generally considered to be one of the most common types of lumbar fusion and a reliable procedure. It is reported that establishment of blood supply is important for nutrition as well as for formation of new bone during bone graft healing. Since the major interosseous blood supply for vascularization of autogenous bone graft is originated from the upper and lower transverse process, the one of the transverse process can he related to rate of bony union. It can be constructed that different union rate can result from the differences in transverse process areas. In this study, the area of the transverse processes of L5 were measured in normal adult. For this purpose, Ushikata area-Curvimeter (X-PLAN 360) was used. In Results, there was no significant differences in the age, but there was differences in the gender.

Laser welding techniques have been characterised for various materials. In this paper. the laser weldability of STS304 stainless steel and Inconel 600 at dissimilar metal welds using a continuous wave Nd:YAG laser are experimentally investigated. Inconel 600 is being used in a steam generator tubing of pressurized water reactor(PWR) exposed to some corrosion. Stress corrosion cracking can occur on this material. An experimental study was conducted to determine effects of welding parameters, on eliminating or reducing the extent welding zone formation at dissimilar metal welds and to optimize those parameters that have the most influence parameters such as focus length, power, beam speed, shielding gas, and wave length of laser were tested.

In fact, there were some reports on difference in fusion rate although very few on comparison of union rate of posterolateral fusion of isthemic spondylolisthesis with that of degenerative spondylolisthesis. It can be constructed that different union rate can result from the differences in transverse process areas among isthemic and degenerative spondylolisthesis cases. In this study, the area of the transverse processes of L3-5 were measured in isthemic and degenerative spondylolisthetic spines. For this purpose, Ushikata area-Curvimeter (X-PLAN 360) was used. Results surgested that there were no significant differences within the gender and the type of spondylolisthesis
