Accurate estimation of the state of charge (SOC) of a lithium-ion battery is one of the most crucial issues of battery management system (BMS). Existing methods can achieve accurate estimation of the SOC under stable working conditions. However, they may result in inaccuracy under unstable working conditions such as dynamic cycles and different temperature conditions. This is due to the fact that the dynamic behaviors of battery states have not been considered by the parameter identification methods. In this paper, a SOC and parameter joint estimation method is put forward, where the battery model parameters are identified in real time by a particle filter (PF) with consideration of the battery states. Meanwhile, a cubature Kalman filter (CKF) is used to estimate SOC. Then, experiments under dynamic cycles and different temperature conditions are undertaken to assess the performance of the proposed algorithm when compared with the existing joint estimations. The results show that the proposed joint method can achieve a high accuracy and robustness for SOC estimation.
Torrential Rainfall Responses to Radiation and Ice Clouds over Jiang-Huai Valley, China in July 2007

The effects of radiation and ice clouds on a torrential rainfall event of Jiang-Huai Valley over China are investigated through a series of two-dimensional sensitivity cloud-resolving model experiments. The model is integrated with an imposed large-scale vertical velocity and zonal wind constructed from the National Centers for Environmental Prediction (NCEP)/Global Data Assimilation System (GDAS) from 2 to 9 July 2007, while the control experiment is compared with two sensitivity experiments that exclude radiation and ice clouds, respectively. The exclusion of ice clouds decreases model domain mean surface rain rate through the weakened mean net condensation and the mean hydrometeor change from loss to gain during the life span of the rainfall event. The sensitivity of the mean rain rate to radiation occurs only in the later period of the rainfall event and is less than that to ice clouds. The reduction in the mean rain rate caused by the elimination of radiation is associated with the decreases in the mean net condensation and latent heat, which corresponds to the strengthened mean local atmospheric cooling.
China FuTURE 4G TDD System: TD-SCDMA Evolution

Meeting with the evolution requirements from 3G to 4G system, FuTURE project and FuTURE 4G TDD system are introduced in detail, including the features, the key technologies related with the cellular architecture, physical layer and the implementation of trial system. It has been proved by the field tests that the FuTURE TDD system that can achieve the peak data rate of 122Mbps, where many enhanced technologies comparing with TD-SCDMA are adopted, including the Generalized Distributed Network Architecture, Soft Fractional Frequency Reuse and Fast Cell Group Selection. Moreover, some technologies proposed in the research and development of FuTURE TDD system have been accepted by 3GPP and become the candidate standards of the Enhanced 3G systems. At last, Gbps TDD system is now under researching and developing in China aiming with ITU IMT-Advanced (4G) system.
Domain Adaptation Image Classification Based on Multi-sparse Representation

Generally, research of classical image classification algorithms assume that training data and testing data are derived from the same domain with the same distribution. Unfortunately, in practical applications, this assumption is rarely met. Aiming at the problem, a domain adaption image classification approach based on multi-sparse representation is proposed in this paper. The existences of intermediate domains are hypothesized between the source and target domains. And each intermediate subspace is modeled through online dictionary learning with target data updating. On the one hand, the reconstruction error of the target data is guaranteed, on the other, the transition from the source domain to the target domain is as smooth as possible. An augmented feature representation produced by invariant sparse codes across the source, intermediate and target domain dictionaries is employed for across domain recognition. Experimental results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
The effect of viscosity ratio on drop pinch-off dynamics in two-fluid flow

Drop pinch-off draws a lot of interest from scientists and engineers because of widely practical applications as well as the fascinating mechanism of finite-time singularities and self-similar behavior. This work experimentally investigates the effect of viscosity ratio on the local pinch-off mechanism of liquid drops in both air and viscous fluids, with a high-speed camera. The results show that for 56 ≤ λ ≤ 6.3 × 103 and 0.009 ≤ λ ≤ 0.061, drop pinch-off exhibits self-similar profile which is asymmetric and conical away from hmin. Drop pinch-off in air with low viscosity ratios shows either in inertial regime (I) or transition from inertial to viscous regime (I→V). But the kinetics undergoes the inertial regime (I) to inertial-viscous regime (IV) through an intermediate viscous regime (V) when the viscosity ratio becomes larger. Drop pinch-off in viscous fluids displays the transition from inertial to viscous regime (I→V). These results agree well with Eggers’s universal solution until it becomes unstable and the previous literature. The viscosity ratio indeed affects the drop pinch-off dynamics as well as interface deformation. Our experiments enrich the understanding of the interaction between the internal and external fluids on drop pinch-off behavior near the singularity point.
Surface Display of the HPV L1 Capsid Protein by the Autotransporter Shigella IcsA

Autotransporters have become attractive tools for surface expression of foreign proteins in Gram-negative bacteria. In this study, the Shigella autotransporter IcsA, has been exploited to express the human papillomavirus (HPV) type 16 L1 capsid protein in Shigella sonnei and Escherichia coli. The L1 gene was fused in-frame to replace the coding sequence of the IcsA passenger domain that is responsible for actin-based motility. The resultant hybrid protein could be detected by an anti-L1 antibody on the surface of S. sonnei and E. coli. In E. coli, the protein was expressed on the entire surface of the bacterium. In contrast, the protein was detected mainly at one pole of the Shigella bacterium. However, the protein became evenly distributed on the surface of the Shigella bacterium when the icsP gene was removed. Our study demonstrated the possibility of exploiting autotransporters for surface expression of large, heterologous viral proteins,which may be a useful strategy for vaccine development.
중국 농촌 지역의 소득 빈곤과 다차원적 빈곤의 구조 분석

The characteristics of poverty can be comprehensively revealed from the two angles of income and multidimensional. This paper compares China’s rural income poverty measure with multidimensional poverty index using data from China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) by focusing on the static and dynamic disparities, and analyzes the factors influencing poverty through the Logit model. The results show that there exists a substantial mismatch in who is deemed poor, 60 percent of multidimensional poverty households are not considered poor in terms of income poverty, and 70 percent of income poverty households are not considered poor in terms of multidimensional poverty; There is a high level of disparity between the dynamics of the two measures of poverty. Among those who rose in the income dimension, only about 7 percent also rose in the multidimensional measure from 2016 to 2018.

The structure of a conical nozzle is critical to the gas induction of a venturi ejector. In this work, the effect of nozzle structure on the gas induction was investigated by means of multiphase CFD and validating experiments. Under different structures, the maximal gas induction was obtained through analyzing the nozzle outlet velocity (NOV), nozzle inlet velocity (NIV), as well as nozzle shrinking angle (NSA). The simulated inlet pressure is positively proportional to inlet flow rate, which is in good agreement with experimental results. The simulated results reveal that the inlet pressure and gas induction increase with the increasing NOV. Considering the operational characteristics of centrifugal pump, the recommended NOV is about 21.8m/s. NIV and NSA show little impact on gas induction and inlet pressure. Based on the pipeline energy consumption, the recommended NIV is the same as the outlet velocity of centrifugal pump. The recommended NSA is about 20o to obtain the maximal gas induction.
