지형은 강수패턴과 도로기하구조에 영향을 미치며, 도로설계시 지형 구분을 바탕으로 한 도로종류에 따라 설계속도와 종단경사를 다르게 규정하고 있다. 이처럼 지형은 운전자의 주행환경에 영향을 미쳐 교통사고와 관련성을 지니지만 지형에 따라 교통사고 위험요소들이 교통사고에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 분석한 연구는 드물다. 본 연구에서는 지형과 교통사고의 상관관계를 파악하고 2단계 군집분석을 활용한 지형적 요소에 따른 교통사고 유형화를 시도하였다. 본 연구는 강수량, 도로기하구조 및 도로종류를 지형적 요소로 선정하고 지형적 특색이 강한 강원도를 대상으로 분석하였다. 또한 강원도 시군구의 행정단위 수준으로 군집의 분포를 살펴봄으로써 지역을 유형화 하고자 하였다. 지형과 교통사고의 관계 분석과 군집분포에 따른 지역적 패턴 유형화 제시는 추후 교통사고 발생 예측 정확성을 높이는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. Topography affects the rainfall pattern and road geometrics, and the design elements such as vertical alignment and design speed are applied to the standards based on the topographical division. Although it is obvious that topography impacts on the traffic accidents influenced by the driving environment, there has been few studies focusing on the relationship between the topographical factors and the accidents. This paper identified the relationship between crash occurrence and topographical factors and attempted to analyze the types of traffic accident occurrence affected by topography using two-step cluster analysis. Gangwon province with strong geographical features is selected as the study area and the topographical variables include rainfall, road alignment and road types. Furthermore, this research attempted to analyze Gangwon province on the basis of cluster characteristics and understand the traits of each cluster. The identification of topographical factors associated with the risk of being involved in traffic accidents and categorization of region based on the cluster distribution could be helpful to predict the crash occurrence more accurately.

A survey was conducted on 14 managerial level officials who participated in the ‘PIC Special Training – Renewable Energy Development and Management)’ hosted by the Korea International Cooperation Agency in 2016. The renewable energy status of the PIC with respect to their supply targets were reviewed and the need to re-establish a supply target and strengthen the realistic supply strategy at present was confirmed. The PIC expected a pilot project of hybrid renewable energy or energy independence for the electrification of remote islands. In addition, PIC gave the same opinion on the need to build an operation system and training program for renewable energy power facilities for self-operation. Recently, South Korea hosted the Green Climate Fund secretariat in Incheon and has tried to find a way to use the fund. It is expected to identify a proper ODA program that will be practical and beneficial for both countries by reflecting the present status and requirements of the PIC analyzed in this study.
