A Study on Improvement of Distribution Facility in Wholesale Agricultural Products Market

        Won-Mo Gal,Ki-Tae Kwon,Woo-Sik Lee,Eun-Mee Choi,Lee-Seung Kwon,Seung-Hwan Seong,권우택 한국유통과학회 2018 유통과학연구 Vol.16 No.2

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of gamma - irradiation on the effluent from food distribution in the large agricultural and marine products market. This study will contribute to the distribution process as well as the agricultural and fishery distribution facilities. Research design, data, and methodology - In order to reduce the odor, the smell was examined in the anaerobic digestion process by irradiating gamma rays to the wastewater of mixed food discharged from a large restaurant. An odor determination panel list was constructed to determine if the odor was present in the air dilution drainage and the odor concentration was analyzed by instrumental analysis. Results - It was confirmed that the sulfur content increased gradually from 3 months. Ammonia decreased from 33.57ppm at the initial measurement to 4.12 ppm at the end of the experiment. Methane production was highest at 100kGy when exposed to gamma rays of 0-200kGy at pH 12. In other words, it is considered that gamma irradiation doses are most effective at 100kGy and are suitable for large capacity wastewater treatment facilities in terms of economic feasibility. Conclusions - In pre-treatment of compound food wastewater, gamma irradiation is most cost effective when examined at 100kGy. The economic efficiency of the pre-treatment method by gamma irradiation is much higher than the wastewater treatment in the large-scale agricultural and marine products distribution market.

        갈원모 ( Won-mo Gal ),염병수 ( Byeoung-soo Yum ) 대한설비관리학회 2021 대한설비관리학회지 Vol.26 No.2

Currently, locomotive cabs' layout differ depending on the type of train vehicles. In order to reduce human error of drivers, systematic research including analysis of the working conditions of urban railroads in Korea and standardization measures are needed accordingly. Through the survey of 247 drivers working Seoul Metro Lines 1, 2, 3 and 4 and interview with related experts, we will identify areas of vulnerability in the driver human error. Many drivers felt uncomfortable with the distinction between the handling buttons, the distance between switches, the movement and function, and the arrangement by operation frequency, It was also able to identify difficulties in identifying the display and operation by color and symbol when handling the control device, as the viewing range and physical conditions differed.

Vol.21 No.4

With a goal to establish a human error prevention system, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is currently devising a countermeasure to minimize human errors by establishing a railway safety innovation plan with key contents including national R&D expansion for railway safety technology development. Rolling stocks are playing a pivotal role among Korea`s urban transportation and also as a distinct means of public transportation. However, the layout inside a train operating room, such as locations and operating methods of devices, is differently designed according to the types of rolling stocks, operational tracks, signaling methods and display installation. This leads to a failure in prompt handling of unexpected situations and, accordingly, frequent occurrence of human errors that lead to accidents. Therefore, it is becoming urgently necessary to ensure safety for railway transportation. This study was aimed at developing a DMI program through accident analysis for the purpose of human error accident prevention.

        건설공사 안전보건관리비 비용산정 모형

갈원모 ( Won Mo Gal ),손기상 ( Ki Sang Son ) 대한설비관리학회 2009 대한설비관리학회지 Vol.14 No.2

Questionnaires have been distributed to the engineers who are currently working at building construction sites. The survey result has been introduced to determine reasonable cost for safety management. Questionnaire contains items that safety managers are asked for which one is reasonable question, in the survey. Throughout this survey, rate dependant variable, amount size independent variable are established for regression analysis to derive a model. It is found that significant level. Therefore, nonlinear regression model is shown. In the study, it is considered that safety cost rate is decreased, while with amount being increased. It is analyzed how much safety cost the field managers actually uses at their construction sites, based on site and amount of each project. Respondents are limited to the field engineers who have more than five year field experience. And responding items having many errors have been removed. They are classified as shown on in table(4). The items are questioned in the range of floor level such as 10th or less, 15fl, 20fl, 25fl, 30fl, 35fl, 40fl, 50fl, 53fl, more than 50fl; buildings in one site such as less than two, 2~5bldgs, 5~10, 10~15, 15~20, 20~25, 25~30, 30~35, 35~40, for more than 40bldgs; project amount such as ten million USD, 20 mil lion USD, 30 mil lion USD, 50 mil lion USD, 100 mil lion USD, 200 mil lion USD, 300 mil lion USD, 400 mil lion USD, 500 mil lion USD, more than 500 ml lion USD. The existing statistic package program was used for extracting out the most reasonable regression equation appropriate for the rate of each project. It is shown that results from multi regressions analysis deviated from significance level and correlation ship, so that they can not be put into practical use. And, divergence shape shows that they can be reasonable as shown in table 3. Another approach general method also has been introduced to the study in order to verify the reasonability of the previous one. It is shown that the new formula that encompasses the variables of building sizes and floors can not be reasonably applied to practical field situation due to the actual cost discrepancies at sites. They are the reasons why there might be many buildings with usually more than ten stories high. Therefore, safety management cost can be considered more practical, rather than theoretical. It is thought that only project amount-based equation with r-square 98.5 and p value 0.0000 can be applied to determine safety management cost for building work. More verification using current rate system has been made in order to compare and analyze as shown in determination model of safety management cost by each project type. First, each project amount on the questionnaire survey has been used in verifying the model which is made in the study, such as 100 billion USD or less, 200 billion USD, 300 billion USD, 500 billion USD, trillion USD, 2 trillion USD, 3 trillion USD, 4 trillion USD, 5 trillion USD, 8 trillion USD. For example, rate comparison between current one and new system for such as apartment, office, hospital, mart buildings are shown in table 10 in the building work. The first questionnaire survey contains size, number of floors and buildings and project amount of apartment building, office building, in making new modes. Simple and multi regression equations have been made to verify their practical efficiency, using two apartment project cases (15, 20 stories) and one office building with 58 stories. Generally, Excel function equations have some errors when they are practically verified. But it is proved that the applicability of log functions is practical. It is analyzed that the existing rates do not satisfactorily cover needs in the actual field situation. Current rates consider only project type without consideration of independent variables of project amount, size efficiently. Some conclusions are summarized as follows: It is found that estimation model, based on the project amount rather than size as shown on the current cost rate system, can be more useful and significant, statistically and practically. Buildings such as apartment, office building and hospital, should be classified as a new group for application a new model of cost rate in accordance with occupational safety and health law. Modification on the existing rate should reflect a sense of reasonability. New models can be alternatives of the existing one.

A Study on the Safety Measures for Thermal Diseases, Focusing on the Cases of Disaster by Construction Industry

        Hye-Ryeong O,Won-Mo GAL,Ok-Nam Park,Mi-Hwa JANG,Seok-Soon KWO,Seung-Hyuck PARK Korea Wellbeing Convergence Association 2024 웰빙융합연구 Vol.7 No.2

Purpose: Construction sites are currently facing a socialization problem as the incidence of thermal disease-related disasters increases due to summer heat waves, exacerbated by factors like the concentration of middle-aged and older workers and global warming. The reason why construction sites are particularly vulnerable to heat waves is that there are many outdoor work, which is the peculiarity of the construction industry, and most of the construction workers are elderly. This study analyzes disaster statistics of workers at construction sites for five years to investigate the occurrence of thermal diseases and analyze factors through disaster cases to provide basic data for future disasters to be reduced. Research design, data, and methodology: According to the Construction Workers' Mutual Aid Association, as of June, more than 60% of the construction workers working in the field were in their 50s and 60s. More than 24% are in their 60s and older. Thermal diseases caused by heat waves occur when exposed to high heat or strong sunlight for a long time, accompanied by headaches and dizziness. The problem is that many elderly people have underlying diseases, so if they lose consciousness, they cannot easily recover and are likely to die. Results: According to industrial accident statistics, 182 people were injured by heat-related diseases in the summer from 2016 to 2021, of which 29 died. In particular, in the construction industry, which has a lot of outdoor work, 87 people were injured and 20 people died. Conclusions: In order to prevent heat diseases caused by outdoor work, it is emphasized that exposure time is controlled, and sufficient rest and hydration are essential. Rest, water, and shade are in line with the three principles.
