Synergistic photocatalysis of bimetal mixed ZIFs in enhancing degradation of organic pollutants: Experimental and computational studies

        Weihao Zhu,Yuanfeng Wu,Guiyun Yi,Xiaoxiao Su,Qiangsheng Pan,Shengbin Shi,Olayinka Oderinde,Guomin Xiao,Chuanxiang Zhang,Yulong Zhang 한국공업화학회 2023 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.119 No.-

The present work is aimed at studying the synergistic catalysis of the bimetal ZIFs containing Co and Znmetal ions prepared by solvothermal method in the degradation of organic pollutants under ambientconditions. The bimetal mixed ZIFs were further characterized by some techniques such as XRD, SEM,TG-DTG, XPS, UV–vis, ESR, and N2-adsorption. Interestingly, the sample prepared with equal metal ions(1Zn:1Co) showed the highest catalytic performance for methylene blue (MB) degradation (94.10 %). Thismay be associated with the interaction between cobalt and zinc within the adjacent lattice, which makethe MB molecule to be easily adsorbed and degraded on empty electron orbit. Furthermore, the highestdegradation of MB was achieved with 98.83 % under the optimized conditions (catalyst weight of 50 mg,pH of 5, 3 h, 30 C). Besides, the various substrates such as methyl orange, indole, rofloxacin, methyl blue, and tetracycline were also investigated under the same conditions. Additionally, the DFT calculationresults suggested the more orbital distribution (LUMO, HOMO) of ZIF(1Zn:1Co) can result to more electronsbeing easily captured, and generate more radicals via electron transfer. Finally, the photocatalyticdegradation of MB is consistent with the first law of kinetics, and the activation energy is 26.797 KJ/molin the presence of ZIF(1Zn:1Co).

Deep Learning-Enhanced Hand Grip and Release Test for Degenerative Cervical Myelopathy: Shortening Assessment Duration to 6 Seconds

        Yongyu Ye,Yunbing Chang,Weihao Wu,Tianying Liao,Tao Yu,Chong Chen,Zhengran Yu,Junying Chen,Guoyan Liang 대한척추신경외과학회 2024 Neurospine Vol.21 No.1

Objective: Hand clumsiness and reduced hand dexterity can signal early signs of degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM). While the 10-second grip and release (10-s G&R) test is a common clinical tool for evaluating hand function, a more accessible method is warranted. This study explores the use of deep learning-enhanced hand grip and release test (DL-HGRT) for predicting DCM and evaluates its capability to reduce the duration of the 10-s G&R test. Methods: The retrospective study included 508 DCM patients and 1,194 control subjects. Propensity score matching (PSM) was utilized to minimize the confounding effects related to age and sex. Videos of the 10-s G&R test were captured using a smartphone application. The 3D-MobileNetV2 was utilized for analysis, generating a series of parameters. Additionally, receiver operating characteristic curves were employed to assess the performance of the 10-s G&R test in predicting DCM and to evaluate the effectiveness of a shortened testing duration. Results: Patients with DCM exhibited impairments in most 10-s G&R test parameters. Before PSM, the number of cycles achieved the best diagnostic performance (area under the curve [AUC], 0.85; sensitivity, 80.12%; specificity, 74.29% at 20 cycles), followed by average grip time. Following PSM for age and gender, the AUC remained above 0.80. The average grip time achieved the highest AUC of 0.83 after 6 seconds, plateauing with no significant improvement in extending the duration to 10 seconds, indicating that 6 seconds is an adequate timeframe to efficiently evaluate hand motor dysfunction in DCM based on DLHGRT. Conclusion: DL-HGRT demonstrates potential as a promising supplementary tool for predicting DCM. Notably, a testing duration of 6 seconds appears to be sufficient for accurate assessment, enhancing the test more feasible and practical without compromising diagnostic performance.

        Yanping Liao,Xibin Shao,Yufan Du,송용지,Weihao Hu,Zhenyu Zhang,Yuqiong Chen,Ying Wang,Qing Ma,윤대근,Dan Wang,Jianfeng Yuan,Hongjiang Wu,Zongjie Guo,Zhaohui Hao,Ji Zhang,Jing Lv 한국정보디스플레이학회 2014 Journal of information display Vol.15 No.2

A prototype 120 Hz 110-inch ultra-high-definition a-Si liquid crystal display (LCD) panel was successfully developed using the BOE exclusive advanced superdimensional switching technology. This LCD has a panel consisting of 3840 × 2160 pixels, four times the number of pixels in the conventional full-high-definition LCD. For the brightness and contrast ratio, 1000 nits and 1200:1 have been achieved, respectively. Additionally, the liquid crystal charging time has been extended through quad area driving and 2G2D line structures. Furthermore, the local dimming and mirror-scanning techniques are applied to realize excellent image display. Finally, the system utilizes 3D shutter glasses, allowing the viewer to achieve the highest sense of realness and immersion.

      • P3H4 promotes renal cell carcinoma progression and suppresses antitumor immunity via regulating GDF15-MMP9-PD-L1 axis

        Tian, Shuo,Huang, Yan,Lai, Dong,Wang, Hanfeng,Du, Songliang,Shen, Donglai,Chen, Weihao,Xuan, Yundong,Lu, Yongliang,Feng, Huayi,Zhang, Xiangyi,Zhao, Wenlei,Wang, Chenfeng,Wang, Tao,Wu, Shengpan,Huang, Techno-Press 2022 Advances in nano research Vol.12 No.6

The prolyl 3-hydroxylase family member 4 (P3H4), is associated with post-translational modification of fibrillar collagens and aberrantly activated in cancer leading to tumor progression. However, its role in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is still unknown. Here we reported that P3H4 was highly expressed in renal cancer tissues and significantly positive correlated with poor prognosis. Knockdown of P3H4 inhibited the proliferation, migration and metastasis of renal cancer cells in vitro and in vivo, and also, overexpression of it enhanced the oncogenic process. Mechanistically, P3H4 depletion decreased the levels of GDF15-MMP9 axis and repressed its downstream signaling. Further functional studies revealed that inhibition of GDF15 suppressed renal cancer cell growth and GDF15 recombinant human protein (rhGDF15) supplementation effectively rescued the inhibitory effect induced by P3H4 knockdown. Moreover, decreased levels of MMP9 caused by inhibition of P3H4-GDF15 signaling constrained the expression of PD-L1 and suppression of P3H4 accordingly promoted anti-tumor immunity via stimulating the infiltration of CD4+ and CD8+ T cells in syngeneic mice model. Taken together, our findings firstly demonstrated that P3H4 promotes ccRCC progression by activating GDF15-MMP9-PD-L1 axis and targeting P3H4-GDF15-MMP9 signaling pathway can be a novel strategy of controlling ccRCC malignancy.

TRIM22 promotes the proliferation of glioblastoma cells by activating MAPK signaling and accelerating the degradation of Raf-1

        Fei Xiaowei,Dou Ya-nan,Sun Kai,Wei Jialiang,Guo Qingdong,Wang Li,Wu Xiuquan,Lv Weihao,Jiang Xiaofan,Fei Zhou 생화학분자생물학회 2023 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.55 No.-

The tripartite motif (TRIM) 22 and mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathways play critical roles in the growth of glioblastoma (GBM). However, the molecular mechanism underlying the relationship between TRIM22 and MAPK signaling remains unclear. Here, we found that TRIM22 binds to exon 2 of the sphingosine kinase 2 (SPHK2) gene. An ERK1/2-driven luciferase reporter construct identified TRIM22 as a potential activator of MAPK signaling. Knockout and overexpression of TRIM22 regulate the inhibition and activation of MAPK signaling through the RING-finger domain. TRIM22 binds to Raf-1, a negative regulator of MAPK signaling, and accelerates its degradation by inducing K48-linked ubiquitination, which is related to the CC and SPRY domains of TRIM22 and the C1D domain of Raf-1. In vitro and in vivo, an SPHK2 inhibitor (K145), an ERK1/2 inhibitor (selumetinib), and the nonphosphorylated mutant Raf-1S338A inhibited GBM growth. In addition, deletion of the RING domain and the nuclear localization sequence of TRIM22 significantly inhibited TRIM22-induced proliferation of GBM cells in vivo and in vitro. In conclusion, our study showed that TRIM22 regulates SPHK2 transcription and activates MAPK signaling through posttranslational modification of two critical regulators of MAPK signaling in GBM cells.
