        Research of the Rice Image Segmentation Based on Color Linear Array CCD

        Using color linear array CCD (Charge Coupled Device) to collect the information of image has an important meaning in the research of the machine vision processing. It now becomes the focus of study on CCD image acquisition using FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) to implement color linear array CCD-driven design. The image acquisition and processing of the rice color sorter as the research background in this paper, by using FPGA to achieve the color linear array CCD driven control, as well as simulated with Quartus II 8.0. In order to be able to extract the color linear array CCD output useful information of the color images, through study the RGB model and the HSI (Huge, Saturation, Intensity) model of color space model, the HSI space mode is selected as the color image processing space model, and design the suitable algorithm-FCM (Fuzzy C-Means) clustering algorithm in HSI space for color image segmentation, through a fuzzy Toolbox in MATLAB to accomplish the FCM algorithm, at the same time, through the simulation realized the FCM algorithm. The simulation shows that the algorithm can segment the image useful information well.

        A new linear cutting experimental machine for disc-cutter rock breaking with high-pressure water jets assisted

        Aiming at the low rock-breaking efficiency of TBM disc cutters in tough rock environments, A new experimental machine combined with the high-pressure water jet rock-breaking method was designed. It can flexibly change the cutting parameters of the water jet, such as spray position, spray height, pressure, etc. Moreover, the three-direction load of the disc cutter during the rock-breaking process can be obtained accurately by strain testing. The rock-breaking experiment reached the following conclusions. The experimental machine can meet the design function. In this study, the normal and rolling forces when the disc cutter breaks rock are significantly lower than the traditional, 26.90% and 28.39%, respectively. The lateral force increased slightly, about 31.17%. Although the energy consumption of water-jet-assisted is higher than the traditional rock-breaking method, the volume of broken rock per unit of time is approximately 5.85 times that of the traditional. It is feasible to increase the energy cost to increase the excavation speed. On the rock surface after the water jet experiment, a rock ridge appears on the rolling trajectory of the disc cutter, which is not conducive to further breaking the rock. The cutting depth of the water jet needs to be adjusted to reduce the height of the rock ridge.

        Cauchy mutation boosted Harris hawk algorithm: optimal performance design and engineering applications

        Harris hawks optimization (HHO) has been accepted as one of the well-established swarm-based methods in the community of optimization and machine learning that primarily works based on multiple dynamic features and various exploratory and exploitative traits. Compared with other optimization algorithms, it has been observed that HHO can obtain high-quality solutions for continuous and constrained complex and real-world problems. While there is a wide variety of strategies in the HHO for dealing with diverse situations, there are chances for sluggish performance, where the convergence rate can gradually slow with time, and the HHO may stay stuck in the current relatively better place and may be unable to explore other better areas. To mitigate this concern, this paper combines the Cauchy mutation mechanism into the HHO algorithm named CMHHO. This idea can boost performance and provide a promising optimizer for solving complex optimization problems. The Cauchy mutation mechanism can speed up the convergence of the solution and help HHO explore more promising regions compared to its basic release. On 30 IEEE CEC2017 benchmark functions, the study compared the proposed CMHHO with various conventional and advanced metaheuristics to validate its performance and quality of solutions. It has been found through experiments that the overall optimization performance of CMHHO is far superior to all competitors. The CMHHO method is applied to four engineering challenges to investigate the capabilities of the proposed algorithm in solving real-world problems, and experimental results show that the suggested algorithm is more successful than existing algorithms.

      • Analysis and Accurate Modeling of a Flyback Converter on Conducted EMI

        In this paper an accurate EMI model of a 5W flyback converter based on discrete devices modeling is presented. To improve the accuracy of EMI model, passive devices, active devices, power IC and the parameters of PCB are all taken into consideration. The simulation results show that, errors of main system-level parameters can be controlled in 5% and errors at the EMI peak values can be controlled in ± 5dB. Based on the proposed model, the existence of NIDM noise is verified and the impacts of parasitic parameters on PCB in this flyback converter are analyzed. The model-based analysis of EMI agrees well with the theory and measurement.

        A Pattern-based Query Strategy in Wireless Sensor Network

        Pattern-based query processing has not attracted much attention in wireless sensor network though its counterpart has been studied extensively in data stream. The methods used for data stream usually consume large memory and much energy. This conflicts with the fact that wireless sensor networks are heavily constrained by their hardware resources. In this paper, we use piece wise representation to represent sensor nodes` collected data to save sensor nodes` memory and to reduce the energy consumption for query. After getting data stream`s and patterns` approximated line segments, we record each line`s slope. We do similar matching on slope sequences. We compute the dynamic time warping distance between slope sequences. If the distance is less than user defined threshold, we say that the subsequence is similar to the pattern. We do experiments on STM32W108 processor to evaluate our strategy`s performance compared with naive method. The results show that our strategy`s matching precision is less than that of naive method, but our method`s energy consumption is much better than that of naive approach. The strategy proposed in this paper can be used in wireless sensor network to process pattern-based queries.

        Mechanical Thrombectomy for Refractory Cerebral Venous Sinus Thrombosis in a Child with Nephrotic Syndrome : A Case Report

        Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is associated with cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST), which is a rare cerebrovascular disorder in children. Systemic anticoagulation with heparin is the standard therapy for CVST, and mechanical thrombectomy (MT) has been described as a salvage treatment for adult anticoagulant refractory CVST, However, it has never been reported in children. We describe a case of MT for refractory CVST in a child with NS. A 13-year-old boy with newly diagnosed NS presented to an emergency department with acute headache. A head computed tomography showed acute thrombus in the superior sagittal sinus, straight sinus and transverse sinus. The child was started on heparin therapy, but clinically deteriorated and became unresponsive. In view of the rapid deterioration of the condition after anticoagulation treatment, the patient received intravascular treatment. Several endovascular technologies, such as stent retriever and large bore suction catheter have been adopted. After endovascular treatment, the patient’s neurological condition was improved within 24 hours, and magnetic resonance venography of the head demonstrated that the CVST was reduced. The child recovered with normal neurological function at discharge. This case highlights the importance of considering MT for refractory CVST, and we suggest that MT may be considered for refractory CVST with NS in children.

        AIR CURTAIN CHARACTERISTICS INVESTIGATION OF THE HIGH TEMPERATURE VEHICLE PAINTING DRYING WORKSHOP

        Installing the air curtain for painting drying workshop is an effective method for continuous vehicle in and out. A top injection air curtain is designed for the high temperature vehicle painting drying workshop in this research. Based on the numerical simulation method, the effect of key operating parameters and working state of the air curtain on the stability and thermal dissipation performance of air curtain have been investigated. The results showed that increasing both the air curtain injection velocity and injection angle improved the stability of the top injection air curtain. Both the optimized air curtain injection velocity and the air curtain injection angle are obtained to achieve the lowest thermal dissipation effect at the fixed workshop height. The stability of the air curtain declines sharply and the thermal energy dissipation of the workshop increased obviously at high workshop height. With the vehicle skeleton passes through the air curtain, the stable gas barrier is destroyed, and the thermal dissipation is increased compared without vehicle passing. The low air curtain jet velocity is recommended with vehicle through the air curtain. Moreover, the small distance between the car bottom to the ground, and the quickly vehicles passing air curtain are suggested in actual operation.
