Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) is a minimally invasive management strategy that has been widely applied for benign and recurrent malignant thyroid lesions as an alternative to surgery in Taiwan. Members of academic societies for specialists in interventional radiology, endocrinology, and endocrine surgery collaborated to develop the first consensus regarding thyroid RFA in Taiwan. The modified Delphi method was used to reach a consensus. Based on a comprehensive review of recent and valuable literature and expert opinions, the recommendations included indications, pre-procedural evaluations, procedural techniques, post-procedural monitoring, efficacy, and safety, providing a comprehensive review of the application of RFA. The consensus effectively consolidates advice regarding thyroid RFA in clinical practice for local experts.
Adaptive Separation Model for Electromagnetic Pulse Coupling Signals of Engine Digital Controllers

The engine digital controller is vulnerable to attacks of wide-spectrum and uncertain electromagnetic pulses (EMPs). To address this issue, herein, we propose a novel “internal cluster evaluation cluster” clustering integrated signal separation method and establish an adaptive separation model for EMP coupling signals of engine digital controllers. Specifi cally, the proposed method mainly includes generation of base clusterings to form a candidate pool of base clusterings, evaluation of the uncertainty of clusters, and establishing an integration strategy. To verify the model, we adopt two types of EMP coupling signal data for simulation and actual measurement. The proposed method is compared with fi ve typical clustering ensemble methods in terms of their normalized mutual information (NMI) values. For the simulated EMP coupled signal data, the hyperparameter is 0.4, and the NMI values of fi ve sets of data are 0.721, 0.576, 0.329, 0.201, and 0.466. For the measured data, the hyperparameter is 0.8, and the NMI values of fi ve sets of data are 0.738, 0.555, 0.377, 0.511, and 0.485. The NMI values of the two types of EMP coupling signal data of the proposed method are generally better than those of the other classical methods. The results confi rm the superior separation eff ect of the proposed method on EMP coupled signals.
Effect of Ni2Si Precipitates on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cu–Zn Brasses

Novel ultrahigh strength Ni2Sistrengthened brasses were fabricated, and microstructure and properties were investigatedusing scanning electron microscopy, optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, hardnessmeasurement, and electrical conductivity test. After optimal treatments (solid solution treated at 900 ℃ for 2 h, hotrolledby 80%, cold-rolled by 80%, and ageing treated at 300 ℃ for 8 h), the Cu-20Zn-3Ni-0.68Si alloy’s hardness, tensilestrength, yield strength, and electrical conductivity is 270.6 HV, 964 MPa, 933 MPa, 21.6%IACS, and 3.4%, respectively. δ-Ni2Si precipitates formed during the annealing process, which had a crystal orientation relationship with the matrix: (001)m// (001) δ, and [110]m// [100]δ. Quasi-cleavage fracture surfaces with shallow dimples were presented in both the Cu-20Zn-1.5Ni-0.34Si and the Cu-20Zn-3Ni-0.68Si alloy. These findings give a new method to develop new high strength low-costbrass copper materials.
Separation of Valuable Metal from Waste Photovoltaic Ribbon through Extraction and Precipitation

With rapid increasing production and installation, recycling of photovoltaic modules has become the main issue. According to the research, the accumulation of waste modules will reach to 8600 tons in 2030. Moreover, Crystalline-silicon (c-Si) Photovoltaic modules account for more than 90% of the waste. C-Si PV modules contain 1.3% of weight of photovoltaic ribbon inside which contains the most of lead, tin and copper in the PV modules, which would cause environmental and humility problem. This study provided a valuable metal separation process for PV ribbons. Ribbons content 82.1% of Cu, 8.9% of Sn, 5.2% of Pb, and 3.1% of Ag. All of them were leached by 3M of hydrochloric acid in the optimal condition. Ag was halogenated to AgCl and precipitated. Cu ion was extracted and separated from Pb and Sn by Lix984N then stripped by 3M H2SO4. The effect of the optimal parameters of extraction was also studied in this essay. The maximum extraction efficiency of Cu ion was 99.64%. The separation condition of Pb and Sn were obtained by adjusting the pH value to 4 thought ammonia to precipitate and separate Pb and Sn. The recovery of Pb and Sn can reach 99%.
Bolting, an Important Process in Plant Development, Two Types in Plants

Bolting refers to the rapid lengthening of the plant stem, and is due to the coordinated effects of developmental and environmental factors. The shoot apical meristem differentiates into the inflorescence meristem and eventually the floral meristem, which then develops into various floral organs during the bolting period. The timing of bolting is critical for plant propagation and reproductive success because it influences seed production, species survival, and crop yield. Therefore, analyses of the causes of bolting and how it occurs may enable researchers to regulate bolting. In this review, two different bolting phenotypes are described, namely inflorescence axis elongation and stem internode elongations. Various factors, such as light, temperature, and endogenous hormones, are integrated to mediate bolting. Moreover, the mechanism underlying bolting, including signal cascades and epigenetic inheritance, are discussed, and appropriate future research directions are proposed.
PIAS: Practical Information-Agnostic Flow Scheduling for Commodity Data Centers

<P>Many existing data center network (DCN) flow scheduling schemes, that minimize flow completion times (FCT) assume prior knowledge of flows and custom switch functions, making them superior in performance but hard to implement in practice. By contrast, we seek to minimize FCT with no prior knowledge and existing commodity switch hardware. To this end, we present PIAS, a DCN flow scheduling mechanism that aims to minimize FCT by mimicking shortest job first (SJF) on the premise that flow size is not known a priori. At its heart, PIAS leverages multiple priority queues available in existing commodity switches to implement a multiple level feedback queue, in which a PIAS flow is gradually demoted from higher-priority queues to lower-priority queues based on the number of bytes it has sent. As a result, short flows are likely to be finished in the first few high-priority queues and thus be prioritized over long flows in general, which enables PIAS to emulate SJF without knowing flow sizes beforehand. We have implemented a PIAS prototype and evaluated PIAS through both testbed experiments and ns-2 simulations. We show that PIAS is readily deployable with commodity switches and backward compatible with legacy TCP/IP stacks. Our evaluation results show that PIAS significantly outperforms existing information-agnostic schemes, for example, it reduces FCT by up to 50% compared to DCTCP [11] and L2DCT [32]; and it only has a 1.1% performance gap to an ideal information-aware scheme, pFabric [13], for short flows under a production DCN workload.</P>

Objective: Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) pain is a common cause of chronic low back pain. Full-endoscopic rhizotomy of lateral branches of dorsal rami innervating SIJ is a potential option for patients’ refractory to medical treatment. The full-endoscopic rhizotomy is sometimes challenging under fluoroscopic guidance. This study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the navigation-assisted full-endoscopic rhizotomy for SIJ pain. Methods: The study was a retrospective match-paired study that enrolled consecutive patients undergoing navigation-assisted full-endoscopic rhizotomy for SIJ pain. The patient demographics, clinical outcomes, and operative parameters of endoscopic rhizotomy were compared with conventional cooled radiofrequency ablation (RFA) treatment. Results: The study enrolled 72 patients, including 36 patients in the endoscopic group. Thirty-six patients in the cooled RFA group were matched by age as the control. The follow-up time was at least 1 year. Patient characteristics were similar between the groups. The navigation-assisted endoscopic rhizotomy operation time was significantly longer than the cooled RFA. The visual analogue scale (VAS) for pain and Oswestry Disability Index (ODI) significantly decreased after each treatment. However, the between-group comparison revealed that the VAS and ODI of the patients after endoscopic rhizotomy were significantly lower than those after the cooled RFA group. There were no postoperative complications in the study. Conclusion: Navigation-assisted full-endoscopic rhizotomy is an alternative to SIJ pain treatment. Integrating intraoperative navigation can ensure accurate full-endoscopic rhizotomy to provide better durability of pain relief than the cooled RFA.
