      • Study on Effect of Massage Technique based on Chaos Theory

        According to the mechanism of EMG signal, we know that the sacrificial electrical signal is with weak signal, low frequency, alternating, nonlinear and non-stationary characteristics. Nonlinear analysis includes higher order spectral analysis and fractal and chaos analysis.Chaos theory is one of the main parts of nonlinear science, and the electrical signal of the surface has a strong randomness, so we could consider the nonlinear analysis of EMG signals from the perspective of chaos. We mainly studied on the nonlinear analysis algorithm of EMG signal detailedly in this paper. Experiments show that,according to the quantitative analysis of several important parameters of rolling massage with chaos theory, we can measure objectively the action situation of related muscle groups in the operation course, then guide the professional massage students to understand the norms of operation in training of operation and help to lead their manipulation to the best power structure.

      • Analysis of Indoleamine 2-3 Dioxygenase (IDO) and EGFR Co-expression in Breast Cancer Tissue by Immunohistochemistry

        Background: To determine the amount of co-expression of IDO and EGFR in breast cancer patients. Materials and Methods:In order to obtain the distribution of co-expression of IDO and EGFR in breast cancer, we tested 110 breast cancer paraffin tissue blocks with immunohistochemical methods. Then we investigated the relationship between the diagnostic and pathologic characteristics (tumor size, lymph node status, histologic grade, the gene expression of ER, PR, HER2, p53, Ki67 and PCNA) with the situation of co-expression of IDO and EGFR by reviewing the medical records of 32 breast cancer patients. Results: Among 110 breast cancers, 32 cases demonstrated IDO and EGFR co-expression (29.1%), IDO and EGFR synchronous co-expression being found in 19.1% and asynchronous in 10.0%. Conclusions: IDO and EGFR were co-expressed in breast cancer, including synchronous and asynchronous co-expression. The results suggest that considering IDO and EGFR as two indicators for breast cancer treatment or prognosis analysis provides a potential option of individual treatment for the portion of breast cancer patients with co-expression of IDO and EGFR.

      • 韓國性徹法師在Sermon of One Hundred Days對《大般涅槃經》的解讀

        퇴옹성철(1912-1993)은 한국의 유명한 스님으로 해인사에서 출가했으며, 1967년 해인사 방장에 추대되었고, 1981년 대한불교조계종 제6·7대 종정을 역임했다. 현대 한국불교를 대표하는 성철 스님은 1967년 해인사 방장 재임 당시 불교의 핵심인 중도관과 선종이 중시하는 불성 문제를 체계적으로 강설했다. 이를 책으로 엮은 것이 『백일법문』이다. 이 책의 제5장에 『대반열반경』과 관련된 부분이 있다. 여기서 성철 스님은 『대반열반경』의 4단락을 인용해 『대반열반경』의 중도, 불성, 12연기, 연기의 지혜, 수행차제 등에 대해 해설했다. 스님은 중도를 핵심으로 여러 개념들을 요약하고, 중도사상을 선양했다. 특히 공과 유에 대한 여러 분석들에서 벗어나 곧바로 수행에 대한 가르침으로 나아갔다. 스님은 돈오돈수와 『대반열반경』은 깊은 관련이 있다고 주장했다. 경문을 인용해 자신의 주장을 증명함과 동시에 『대반열반경』의 불성설(佛性說)을 깨달음인지 아닌지를 판정하는 표준으로 삼았다. 이로써 성철 스님이 『대반열반경』을 중시했음과 성철 사상과 그의 수행실천을 연구할 때 당연히 『대반열반경』에 많은 관심을 가져야 됨을 알 수 있다. Venerable Sungchol(1912-93) is a Seon Master in Korea. The Sermon of One Hundred Days is a quotation that Master Sungchol teaches what is the Buddhist truth at Haein Temple in1967. In this Sermon, Master makes a clear narration of the middle way, the highest principle in Buddhism, and interprets many sūtras, including MahāpranirvāṇaSūtra. It is an important sūtra to Master, because he quotes many passages of this sūtrato support his claim, ‘sudden awakening and sudden practice’. He uses the middle way to explain some major concepts in this sūtra, such as buddha nature (buddha-dhātu), the wisdom of seeing the twelve links of dependent origination, dharma-dhātu and nirvāṇa, and then they are integrated into the middle way. This enables Master’s claim to be established.

        Residual properties of high-strength fiber reinforced concrete after exposure to high temperatures

        Thermal energy from high temperatures can cause concrete damage, including mechanical and chemical degradation. In view of this, the residual mechanical properties of high-strength fiber reinforced concrete with a design strength of 75 MPa exposed to 400-800°C were investigated in this study. The test results show that the average residual compressive strength of high-strength fiber reinforced concrete after being exposed to 400-800°C was 88%, 69%, and 23% of roomtemperature strength, respectively. In addition, the benefit of steel fibers on the residual compressive strength of concrete was limited, but polypropylene fibers can help to maintain the residual compressive strength and flexural strength of concrete after exposure to 400-600°C. Further, the load-deflection curve of specimen containing steel fibers exposed to 400-800°C had a better fracture toughness.

        A quick, accurate and general ultra performance liquid chromatography method for evaluating the quality of enological tannins

        Commercial enological tannins from variousorigins have been widely used in modern wine making. Inorder to investigate the diverse quality of tannin products, aquick, accurate and simple UPLC method was developed,which could simultaneously determine 11 principle characteristiccomponents of hydrolysable tannins and condensedtannins. The optimum resolution of the tannins wasachieved on a Waters Acquity UPLC-BEH C18 column(2.1 mm 9 50 mm, 1.7 lm) at 280 nm with gradient elution. The method was validated to achieve desired specificity,linearity, precision, accuracy and stability. Thedeveloped method was successfully applied to 30 commercialenological tannins from different origins for theirquality evaluation. The 30 tannin samples were qualitativelydistinguished into hydrolysable, condensed or mixturetannins, and quantificationally classified into fourlevels of excellent, good, fair and poor products. Themethod could be used for quick evaluating the quality ofenological tannins in practical use.

        Local bond stress-slip behavior of reinforcing bars embedded in lightweight aggregate concrete

        This paper aims to study the local bond stress-slip behavior of reinforcing bars embedded in lightweight aggregate concrete (LWAC). The experimental variables of the local bond stress-slip tests include concrete strength (20, 40 and 60 MPa), deformed steel bar size (#4, #6 and #8) and coarse aggregate (normal weight aggregate, reservoir sludge lightweight aggregate and waterworks sludge lightweight aggregate). The test results show that the ultimate bond strength increased with the increase of concrete compressive strength. Moreover, the larger the rib height to the diameter ratio (h/db) of the deformed steel bars is, the greater the ultimate bond stress is. In addition, the suggestion value of the CEB-FIP Model Code to the LWAC specimen’s ultimate bond stress is more conservative than that of the normal weight concrete.

        Fire resistance of high strength concrete filled steel tubular columns under combined temperature and loading

        In recent years, concrete-filled box or tubular columns have been commonly used in high-rise buildings. However, a number of fire test results show that there are significant differences between high strength concrete (HSC) and normal strength concrete (NSC) after being subjected to high temperatures. Therefore, this paper presents an investigation on the fire resistance of HSC filled steel tubular columns (CFTCs) under combined temperature and loading. Two groups of full-size specimens were fabricated to consider the effect of type of concrete infilling (plain and reinforced) and the load level on the fire resistance of CFTCs. Prior to fire test, a constant compressive load (i.e., load level for fire design) was applied to the column specimens. Thermal load was then applied on the column specimens in form of ISO 834 standard fire curve in a large-scale laboratory furnace until the set experiment termination condition was reached. The results demonstrate that the higher the axial load level, the worse the fire resistance. Moreover, in the bar-reinforced concrete-filled steel tubular columns, the presence of rebars not only decreased the spread of cracks and the sudden loss of strength, but also contributed to the load-carrying capacity of the concrete core.

        Local bond-slip behavior of medium and high strength fiber reinforced concrete after exposure to high temperatures

        This study aims to investigate the influence of individual and hybrid fiber on the local bond–slip behavior of medium and high strength concrete after exposure to different high temperatures. Tests were conducted on local pullout specimens (150 mm cubes) with a reinforcing bar embedded in the center section. The embedment lengths in the pullout specimens were three times the bar diameter. The parameters investigated include concrete type (control group: ordinary concrete; experimental group: fiber concrete), concrete strength, fiber type and targeted temperature. The test results showed that the ultimate bond stress in the local bond stress versus slip curve of the high strength fiber reinforced concrete was higher than that of the medium strength fiber reinforced concrete. In addition, the use of hybrid combinations of steel fiber and polypropylene fiber can enhance the residual bond strength ratio of high strength concrete.

        Spermatogenesis of Male Patients with Congenital Hypogonadotropic Hypogonadism Receiving Pulsatile Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone Therapy Versus Gonadotropin Therapy: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

        Purpose: Pulsatile gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) therapy and gonadotropin therapy (GT) were widely used for male patients with congenital hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (CHH), but their efficacy was not well compared before. We conducted this meta-analysis to compare the efficacy of restoring fertility using these two therapies. Materials and Methods: PubMed, Web of Science, and Scopus were systematically searched for comparative studies evaluating the efficiency of GnRH therapy and GT for male patients with CHH. For continuous outcomes, the weighted mean difference (WMD) was used to measure the difference, whereas the risk ratio with 95% confidence interval was calculated for binary variables. Results: Overall, eight articles from seven studies with 420 patients enrolled were included in the analysis. Patients from the two different groups were determined to be comparable in age, proportion with Kallmann syndrome, percentage of cryptorchidism and pretreatment hormones (follicular-stimulating hormone, luteinizing hormone, and testosterone). GnRH therapy was related to a larger testicular volume (standardized mean difference=-1.43; p=0.01) and earlier spermatogenesis (WMD=- 5.30 months; p=0.004) compared to GT. However, the difference in the rate of positive sperm detection (p=0.08), sperm concentration (p=0.37), and pregnancy rate (p=0.11) were not significant. Allergic reactions mostly occurred during GnRH therapy, while GT was related to a higher incidence of gynecomastia and acne. Conclusions: Compared to GT, GnRH was related to earlier spermatogenesis and less estradiol-related adverse reactions, although there were no significant differences in spermatogenesis rate, sperm concentration, and pregnancy rate. High-quality randomized controlled trials are needed for future research.
