Unipolar Resistance Switching Characteristics in a Thick ZnO/Cu/ZnO Multilayer Structure
Tran Le,Hoang Cao Son Tran,Van Hieu Le,Tuan Tran,Cao Vinh Tran,Thanh Tan Vo,Mau Chien Dang,김상섭,이재찬,Bach Thang Phan 한국물리학회 2012 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.60 No.7
The resistance switching mechanism and the electrical conduction of thick Cu/ZnO/Cu/ZnO/Cu structures were investigated for various ZnO thicknesses (40, 80, 160, and 320 nm) when the thickness of the middle Cu layer was 2 nm. The ZnO films had a microstructure with columnar grains normal to the substrate. The switching voltages (VSET and VRESET) varied with the thickness of the ZnO layer. A symmetric electrode structure exhibited a unipolar resistance switching. The electrical transport of both high-resistance state (HRS) and low-resistance state (LRS) was Ohmic conduction, and the resistance switching mechanism was driven by the formation and the rupture of Cu conducting paths.
Low Cost Motor Drive Technologies for ASEAN Electric Scooter
Tuan, Vu Tran,Kreuawan, Sangkla,Somsiri, Pakasit,Huy, Phuong Nguyen The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2018 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.13 No.4
This work investigates two different motor drive technologies, switched reluctance motor (SRM) and induction motor (IM). They are designed optimally to meet the desired performances for electric scooters. The comparison of both motors is described in terms of performances and material cost. With the similar constraint, induction motor performs slightly better than switched reluctance motor. But this must be traded-off with higher weight and cost. Both drive systems are, however, suitable for electric scooter application. Finally, the range simulations are conducted on a European urban driving cycle, ECE15 driving cycle and a more realistic cycle, Bangkok driving cycle. The e-scooter ranges are varied from 36 to 109 km depending on driving cycle, motor technology and number of passengers.
Distributed plasticity approach for the nonlinear structural assessment of offshore wind turbine
Tran, Thanh-Tuan,Hussan, Mosaruf,Kim, Dookie,Nguyen, Phu-Cuong The Society of Naval Architects of Korea 2020 International Journal of Naval Architecture and Oc Vol.12 No.1
This study provides an insight of the nonlinear behavior of the Offshore Wind Turbine (OWT) structure using the distributed plasticity approach. The fiber section beam-column element is applied to construct the finite element model. The accuracy of the proposed model is verified using linear analysis via the comparison of the dynamic characteristics. For collapse risk assessment of OWT, the nonlinear effects considering the earthquake Incident Angle (IA) have been evaluated first. Then, the Incremental Dynamic Analysis (IDA) has been executed using a set of 20 near-fault records. Lastly, fragility curves are developed to evaluate the vulnerability of structures for different limit states. Attained results justify the accuracy of the proposed approach for the structural response against the ground motions and other environmental loads. It indicates that effects of static wind and wave loads along with the earthquake loads should be considered during the risk assessment of the OWT structure.
A Novel Two-Stage Power Conversion Method suitable for LDCs of the Electric Vehicles
Tran Manh Tuan,Woojin Choi 전력전자학회 2019 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2019 No.5
The Low Voltage DC-DC converters (LDCs) of the Electric Vehicles require high power density and high efficiency operation over the wide range of load and input voltage variations. This paper introduces a novel topology which combines three 1 MHz Half-Bridge (HB) LLC resonant converters and an Inverting Buck-Boost (IBB) converter to adjust the output voltage without frequency modulation. The switching frequency of the proposed converter is fixed at 1MHz to achieve a constant frequency operation for the resonant converter to achieve a maximum efficiency. In the proposed topology GaN FETs and planar transformers are employed to optimize the converter operation at high frequency. A 1 MHz/1.8 kW prototype converter is built to verify the feasibility and the validity of the proposed LDC topology.
Development of integrated design methodology for various types of product - service systems
Tran, Tuan A.,Park, Joon Y. Society for Computational Design and Engineering 2014 Journal of computational design and engineering Vol.1 No.1
We propose a new generic design methodology for different types of PSS. Product - Service System (PSS) has received much attention recently from academia and industry because of its benefits. PSS can provide customers values and functionalities, as well as physical products, to fulfill economic, social and environmental goals. Many methodologies have been proposed for designing PSSs. Most of the existing methodologies are domain specific and were proposed to solve specific problems in certain projects. Some methodologies are generic but they provide neither guideline to practitioners and designers nor reflect the differences in various PSS types. As a generic approach to guide practitioners and designers in designing PSS effectively, the proposed methodology also takes into account user involvement, business model and organizational structure. The proposed methodology is demonstrated through design examples of different types of PSSs.
Combined phototherapy in anti-cancer treatment: therapeutics design and perspectives
Tuan Hiep Tran,Raj Kumar Thapa,Hanh Thuy Nguyen,Tung Thanh Pham,Thiruganesh Ramasamy,김동식,용철순,김종오,최한곤 한국약제학회 2016 Journal of Pharmaceutical Investigation Vol.46 No.6
Photodynamic (PDT) and photothermal (PTT) therapy are proven effective strategies for the treatment of cancer. PDT, a photochemistry-based therapy, utilises light energy based photosensitiser for the production of cytotoxic species via electron transfer to biological substrates and potential excitation or energy transfer to molecular oxygen. On the other hand, PTT utilises substances that can convert light energy into heat for efficient tumour ablation. This review provides an insight into the current research investigations of different nanocarriers utilising the synergistic effects of PTT and PDT for anticancer therapy.
The Impact of Balanced Scorecard on Performance: The Case of Vietnamese Commercial Banks
TUAN, Tran Trung Korea Distribution Science Association 2020 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.7 No.1
Balanced Scorecard (BSC) is one of basic contents of managerial accounting. Balanced Scorecard (BSC) will help the manager to measure and evaluate the operating performance in enterprises. Therefore, providing the theory base as well as in fact with regards to apply with Balanced Scorecard, impact of applying with Balanced Scorecard on the performance of company, from then providing for the managers with the base to promote on applying the Balanced Scorecard in Vietnamese Enterprises aimed to improve the operating performance of enterprises meaningfully and neccessary. However, balanced scorecard in general is a very new content in both theoretical and practice in Viet Nam. The study aims to explore the application with Balanced Scorecard in enterprises according to 4 perspective of Balanced Scorecard in Vietnamese commercial banks. In the dimension of this paper, SPSS 22 was used to collect and analysis data, basing on the results of 109 questionnaires of managers and head of department from Vietnamese commercial banks. Research have shown impact of Balanced Scorecard on the performance of Vietnamese commercial banks. This is the scientific basis for enterprises of Vietnam in general and Vietnamese commercial banks firms in particular have a successful application of balanced scorecard to improve the business performance.
