A word-wide overview is presented of the current state of mass cultivation of seaweeds. In comparison with a total annual commercial production of fish, crustaceans and molluscs of about 120*106ton, of which one-third is produced by aquaculture, the production of seaweeds is about 10*106ton wet weight; the majority of this comes from culture-based systems. Also, in recent years, several reports have investigated the possible use of seaweed as a renewable source and analyzed such a system for the production of energy from seaweed biomass. This study describes conceptual design for constructing offshore biomass and was carried out measured wave and current conditions at the test farms in Gijang and Wando. The results of current conditions both of them are 34~40 cm/sec by observation, 43~57 cm/sec by numerical simulation, and of maximum wave height conditions are 8~9 m in Gijang, 3~4 m in Wando, respectively. We considered more physical and biological parameters to analyze detailed data for high efficiency biomass culturvation system of seaweed.
