Several common fixed point theorems for a pair of weakly compatible mappings satisfying contractive inequalities of integral type in a metric space are proved. The results obtained in this paper improve or differ from a few results existing in the literature.

In this paper, a new system of generalized nonlinear variational inclusions with $(H,\eta)$-monotone operators is introduced and studied in Hilbert spaces. By using the resolvent operators associated with $(H,\eta)$-monotone operators, we construct a new iterative algorithm for approximating the solution of the system of generalized nonlinear variational inclusions, prove the existence of solution of the system of generalized nonlinear variational inclusions and the convergence of the sequence generated by the algorithm. The result presented in this paper extends some known results in the literature.
Two-dimensional thermographic phosphor thermometry in a cryogenic environment

<P>In this study, lifetime-based thermographic phosphor thermometry was developed for 2D temperature measurements in a cryogenic temperature environment. A chamber was set up to provide such an environment with temperatures of 300–110 K and accuracy of ±3.5 K. Mg<SUB>4</SUB>FGeO<SUB>6</SUB>:Mn was used as a sensor material, which was excited by a pulsed UV LED. A high-speed camera with a frequency of 8000 Hz was used for the phosphor thermometry. Calibration was performed at temperatures ranging from 110 to 290 K. The calibration results clearly show variation in the lifetime at different temperatures, and the calibration error is within 1.7%. This measurement is demonstrated in a 2D temperature measurement of an aluminum plate with a heater for both steady and unsteady heat transfer conditions. The measurement results were compared with thermocouple measurements to validate the method.</P>
Assessment of Various Lifetime Based Post-processing Methods on Thermographic Phosphor Thermometry

This study examined the computational cost and uncertainty for various lifetime based post-processing methods on thermographic phosphor thermometry. Four different post-processing methods including two kinds of two-point methods, a three-point method, and a decay slope method were selected to conduct the comparison with the conventional lifetime method. Computational cost, uniformity and uncertainty were studied. These five methods were then demonstrated in temperature measurements of the curve surface under an impinging jet. The results show that the three-point method and the decay slope method have the better temporal and accuracy performance on temperature measurement.
Comparison of Primary Breast Cancer Size by Mammography and Sonography

Purpose: To compare tumor size by mammography and sonography and align with pathological results in primary breast cancer cases. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed 95 primary breast cancer patients who underwent mammography and sonography from January 2011 to June 2012. The largest tumor diameter was chosen as sizing reference for each imaging modality. The measurements of mammography and sonography were considered concordant if they were within the measurement of pathological results ${\pm}0.5cm$. Pearson's correlation coefficient was calculated for imaging results. Results: The range of the maximum diameter was 0.6cm-10.5cm and mean value was $3.81{\pm}2.04cm$ by pathological results, 0.7cm-12.4 cm and $3.99{\pm}2.19cm$ by mammography, and 0.9cm-11.0cm and $3.63{\pm}2.01cm$ by sonography, respectively. Sonography (R: 0.754), underestimated tumor size, but had a better correlation with pathological tumor size compared to mammography (R: 0.676), which overestimated tumor size. Conclusions: Sonography is superior to mammography in assessment of primary breast cancer.

Recently, poly-γ-glutamic acid synthetase A (pgsA) has been applied to display exogenous proteins on the surface of Lactobacillus casei or Lactococcus lactis, which results in a surfacedisplayed component of bacteria. However, the ability of carrying genes encoded by plasmids and the expression efficiency of recombinant bacteria can be somewhat affected by the longer gene length of pgsA (1,143 bp); therefore, a truncated gene, pgsA, was generated based on the characteristics of pgsA by computational analysis. Using murine IL-10 as an exogenous gene, recombinant Lactobacillus plantarum was constructed and the capacity of the surface-displayed protein and functional differences between exogenous proteins expressed by these strains were evaluated. Surface expression of IL-10 on both recombinant bacteria with anchorins and the higher expression levels in L. plantarum-pgsA’-IL-10 were confirmed by western blot assay. Most importantly, up-regulation of IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α, IFN-γ, and the nuclear transcription factor NF-κB p65 in RAW264.7 cells after stimulation with Poly(I:C) or LPS was exacerbated after co-culture with L. plantarum-pgsA. By contrast, IL-10 expressed by these recombinant strains could reduce these factors, and the expression of these factors was associated with recombinant strains that expressed anchorin (especially in L. plantarum-pgsA’-IL-10) and was significantly lower compared with the anchorin-free strains. These findings indicated that exogenous proteins could be successfully displayed on the surface of L. plantarum by pgsA or pgsA’, and the expression of recombinant bacteria with pgsA’ was superior compared with bacteria with pgsA.
