Using all-atom molecular dynamics simulation, we investigated the wetting behavior of a water droplet on a surface texturized with nanoscale pillars. We studied the surfaces with nonhierarchical and hierarchical roughnesses by systematically varying the pillar height. A surface decorated with a hierarchical roughness showed an enhanced hydrophobicity in that the droplet on such a surface prefers the Cassie-Baxter state over the Wenzel state. A hierarchical roughness also gave an enhanced contact angle of a droplet. Even a hydrophilic surface (contact angle is < 90°) turned hydrophobic (contact angle > 90°) with a hierarchical roughness on it. We show the adhesion energy of a droplet to its underlying surface is correlated with the contact angle and therefore is a fundamental measure of the wettability of the
학업적 자기효능감, 가족의 응집성 및 적응성, 학급풍토가 아동의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향

본 연구의 목적은 학업적 자기효능감, 가족의 응집성 및 적응성, 학급풍토가 아동 의 학교생활적응에 미치는 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 연구의 목적을 위해 경남 김해 소재 초등학교 6학년 219명을 대상으로 학업적 자기효능감, 가족의 응집성 및 적응 성, 학급풍토, 학교생활적응을 측정한 후 상관분석과 중다회귀분석을 실시하였으며, 연구결과 및 논의를 통한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 학업적 자기효능감, 가족의 응 집성 및 적응성, 학급풍토, 학교생활적응 간에 유의미한 상관이 있다. 둘째, 학업적 자기효능감은 학교생활적응에 유의미한 영향을 미친다. 셋째, 가족의 응집성 및 적 응성은 학교생활적응에 유의미한 영향을 미친다. 넷째, 학급풍토는 학교생활적응에 유의미한 영향을 미친다. 다섯째, 학업적 자기효능감, 가족의 응집성 및 적응성, 학 급풍토 중 학급풍토가 학교생활적응에 가장 많은 영향을 미친다. 따라서 학교생활 적응을 높이기 위해서는 아동의 개인적 특성을 고려하고 가족의 긍정적이 환경을 형성하며 학교생활 적응을 위한 학급분위기를 모색하는 등의 폭 넓은 연구가 필요 하다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of academic self-efficacy, family cohesion and adaptability, and classroom climate on the school life adjustment of children. For the purpose of the study 219 sixth graders at an elementary school in Gimhae, Gyeongnam Province had been sampled for measuring academic self-efficacy, family cohesion and adaptability, classroom climate, and school life adjustment. Correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis had been used to analyze research questions. The Conclusions from the results and discussions are as follows. First, there were significant correlations among academic self-efficacy, family cohesion and adaptability, classroom climate, and school life adjustment. Second, academic self-efficacy had significant effects on school life adjustment. Third, family cohesion and adaptability had significant ieffects on school life adjustment. Fourth, classroom climate had significant effects on school life adjustment. Finally, classroom climate effects on school life adjustment most.
심적환(心適丸)이 산화적 손상에 따른 신경교세포 보호효과 및 국소 뇌혈류량 변화에 미치는 영향

Objectives: SimJeok-Hwan (CP, Cardiotonic Pills) was made to treat patients with coronary arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris and hyperlipidemia. This study was designed to investigate the effects of CP on Proliferation rates neuroglia cells and protective effect of CP against oxidative stress, and also investigate the effects on regional Cerebral Blood Flow (rCBF) in normal rats. Methods: In this experiment, effects of CP on proliferation rates of neuroglia cells were measured using modified MTT methods. Oxidative stress was induced by treatment with 200 mM of hydrogen peroxide for 2 hr. rCBF and MABP were measured using Laser doppler flowmeter. Results: Treatment with CP elevated proliferation rates in C6 cells. In addition, CP protected cell death of C6 cells induced by oxidative stress. In results, rCBF was elevated by treatment with CP in normal rats. But, Mean Arterial Blood Pressure (MABP) did not affected by CP. In addition, the elevation of rCBF was blacked by pre-treatment with 1 mg/kg of indomethacin effectively. On the other hand, pre-treatment with 0.01 mg/kg of methylene blue did not affect rCBF level in normal rats. Conclusions: In conclusion, these results suggest that CP can act as anti-oxidant to protect neuroglia cells and also suggest that CP can elevate rCBF, which are involved in cyclooxygenase pathway.
분자동역학을 이용한 불균일 표면 위의 수액적의 동적 거동에 대한 연구

In the present study, the dynamic behaviors of the water droplet on heterogeneous surface were investigated using molecular dynamics simulation. The surface consisted of the plat plate and the pillar structure which had different surface energy each other. We conducted the simulation in two steps. As a result of the first step, an initial water cube reached an equilibrium state as a water droplet. In the second step, we applied a constant body force to the static water droplet obtained from the first step and evaluated the dynamic behaviors of the water droplet. The dynamic behaviors of the water droplet, which could be classified according to their shapes, depended on the pillar characteristics (e.g., the surface energy and the height) and the magnitude of the applied body force.
마황 에틸아세테이트 분획물이 고지방 식이로 유발된 생쥐의 지질대사에 미치는 영향

Objective : Ephedra Herba has been widely used for patients with common cold, asthma in eastern countries, especially china japan and korea. Recently it has been also used for obesity in clinic with high frequency. This study was designed to investigate the effects of Ephedra Herba ethyl-acetate fraction (EEAF) on hyperlipidemic mice. Method : Effects on total cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, triglyceride, AST, ALT, fasting blood glucose in serum were measured in this experiment, and in addition, histopathological and gene expression changes in liver tissue was also observed. Results : In our study, EEAF did not affect weight gain in hyperlipidemic mice. Oral administration of EEAF lowered levels of total cholesterol which were elevated by induction of hyperlipidemia. And administration of EEAF lowered fasting blood glucose significantly. By carrying out ontological analysis, large numbers of genes were identified in up or down regulated genes. The expression of the genes that were altered in response to high-fat diet was restored to normal levels in EEAF treated mice, with a recovery rate of 49%. And it was considered that fatty acid metabolism was one of important key pathway of the recovery. Conclusion : Results in our study suggest that EEAF can prevent obese and through regulation of dyslipidemia and hyperglycaemia.
