To quantitatively evaluate the suitability, both the physical and the ecological factor for algae were estimated. The ecological characteristics of algae was estimated by the HSI(Habitat Suitability Index) model. The estimated suitability was distributed along the same depth line, and it was determined that stability for marine afforestation was impacted by light and wave conditions, which are factors that are changed by depth. Therefore, it can be said that for successful marine afforestation, it is desirable to install reefs in belt-type areas along the same bathymetry, which ensures consistent light and wave action conditions.
FC 1-10 : Steroid induced rosacea: A retrospective review in a single institution from 2011 to 2021

Background: Rosacea is a common chronic inflammatory disorder affecting facial skin. Uncontrolled use of topical steroid has caused rosacea. Currently, no accurate method is available for assessing the severity of rosacea but color imaging systems can reliable for evaluating the severity of rosacea. Objectives: The aim was to determine correlation between the potency of topical steroid that applied to face and the severity of steroid induced rosacea. Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of 19 patients with clinical suspicion of steroid induced rosacea who visited the Korea University Ansan Hospital from 2011 to 2021. For each patient, skin color analysis system (SpyderCUBE and SpyderCHECKR@24) was used to measure the erythema severity index and facial area index showing erythema. Additionally, a history was taken of topical steroids type and duration used prior to the onset of rosacea. Spearman’s rank correlation analysis test was used for the statistical analysis. Results: Coefficient of correlation between the potency class(class 1 ~ class 7) of used topical corticosteroids and a erythema severity index is 0.419(p-value = 0.042); with the erythema area index is 0.300(p-value = 0.101). Conclusion: Our study revealed that higher potency of topical steroid can induce more severe erythematous steroid induced rosacea. Because conventional rosacea scale could not quantitatively indicate the degree of erythema or the area involved, skin color imaging system was used for analysis.

Purification and NMR studies on Phosphatase domain of UBLCP1

UBLCP1 is composed of Ubiquitin Like domain and RNA Polymerase II Phosphatase I domain. Phosphatase domain (25.9KDa) has been cloned into the E.coli using pET32a vector with TEV protease cleavage site and successfully purified as a monomer using affinity chromatography and histidine tag was cleaved with TEV protease for structural studies. Our results indicated that the Phosphatase domain showed well-defined folded structure based on data from one-dimensional and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy. Data form circular dichroism also suggested that Phosphatase domain consisted of both ${\alpha}$ -helix and ${\beta}$ -sheet. This information will be used for detailed structural study of UBLCP1.
