      • Genetic Diversity of Korean Rice Breeding Parents as Measured by DNA Fingerprinting with Simple Sequence Repeat (SSR) Markers

        Molecular markers are useful tools for evaluating genetic diversity and determining cultivar identity. Present study was conducted to evaluate the genetic diversity within a diverse collection of rice accessions used for Korean breeding programs. Two hundred eighty-seven rice cultivars, composed of temperate japonica, tropical japonica, indica, and Tongil-type of Korean crossing parents were evaluated by means of 15 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. A total of 99 alleles were detected, and the number of alleles per marker ranged from 4 to 11, with an average of 6.6 per locus. Polymorphism information content (PIC) for each of the SSR markers ranged from 0.2924 to 0.8102 with an average of 0.5785. These results, with the result that use of only 15 SSR markers made all rice cultivars examined could be uniquely distinguished, imply the efficiency of SSR markers for analysis of genetic diversity in rice. Cluster analysis was performed on similar coefficient matrics calculated from SSR markers to generate a dendogram in which two major groups corresponding to japonica (Group I) and indica and Tongil type rice (group II) with additional subclasses within both major groups. The narrowness of the Korean breeding germplasm was revealed by the fact that most of the Korean-bred and Japan-bred temperate japonica cultivars were concentrated into only 2 of the sub-group I-1 (143 cultivars) and I-2 (58 cultivars) among six sub-groups in major group of japonica. This is because of the japonica accessions used in this study was a very closely related ones because of frequent sharing of the crossing parents with similar genetic background with synergy effect of the inherited genetic difference between indica and japonica. A rice breeding strategy with the use of molecular markers was discussed for overcoming of genetic vulnerability owing to this genetic narrowness.

        1992년 첫 삽을 뜨면서 시작한 경부고속철도건설사업이 2004년 4월, 1단계 개통을 한데 이어 지난 2010년 11월 완전 개통하였다. 경부고속철도 개통으로 경부축 지역의 2시간대 서비스 제공을 통한 국토의 균형발전 촉진 및 여가·관광사업 활성화, 기술발전, 환경비용 및 에너지 절감 등 긍정적인 효과를 이룬 반면, 잦은 기본계획 변경으로 인한 사업비 및 사업기간의 증가, 현실과 맞지 않은 설치기준으로 인한 과잉설계 문제 등 부정적 효과도 초래했다. 본 연구를 통해 사업추진 단계별 주요 이슈에 대해 객관적인 시각으로 문제점을 분석하고 시사점을 도출함으로써, 현재 추진하고 있는 호남고속철도와 수도권고속철도 사업에서는 시행착오를 줄이고 사업을 효율적으로 추진하는데 활용하고자 한다. Launched in 1992, the Gyeung-Bu High Speed Railway (HSR) was fully opened in November 2010 following the partial opening of the first phase in April 2004. Since the opening it has made tremendous achievements, including but not limited to, technical innovation, balanced regional development, growth of leisure and tourism industries, and savings of environmental costs and energy. On the other hand, it has brought negative effects such as increase in project time and cost by frequent changes of the basic plan and over-design based on unrealistic criteria. In this study we will analyze major issues that occurred at each stage of the Gyeong-Bu HSR project and draw implications. Thus, this study will enhance to efficiently implement the Ho-Nam and Seoul Metropolitan HSR project through minimizing possible trials and errors.

On the economic side, a luxurious material life influenced the social setting, to the extent that industry remained undeveloped so, even though shinese currency entered this Country, the domestic production of currency did not begin until later, in the Koryo period. 3. In the cultural sphere, through the influence of the priests, the imported Buddhism, rather than finding its way to the people as a private belief, became a thing of the aristocracy, a nationalistic influence, and limited to prayer at that time, Confucianism, due to its controlling political theory, became the bearing post of flunkeyism. 4. On the social side, when the yuan dynasty assumed Control of the Koryo, tributes of maidens and eunuchs were demanded. To saue these maidens from this humiliating fate, early marriages became the custom. For the above reasoms, this exchange of culture and goods bosed on the tributory relationship between Han and china brought many bad effects, rather than improvements, to our society.

      • Effect of Temperature Associated with Early Growth Stimulus on Shortening of Heading Dates in Rice

        The heading date is known to be controlled by two kinds of genetic constituent, photosensitivity and basic vegetable phase. For the latter, the effect of temperature in early growth period is critical to determine the shortness of vegetative growth periods in plant s life. A phytotron experiment on 55 rice cultivars, consisting of two ecotypes of rices, indica and japonica, was conducted at high and low temperature treatments at early growth stage to investigate the possible role of plant growth stimulus by high temperature to associate with shortening of heading date. The high temperature during the early growth stage stimulated the rice growth as measured by plant height with much difference of the growth response between indica and japonica. The conclusive finding that these growth stimulus in early growth stage was highly correlated with the acceleration of heading is, more or less, correlated with the heading of the late growth stage although we could not conclude the genes for early plant growth stimulus by high temperature is the same genes as the genes for accelerating of heading in the late growth stage of plants.

That is, in China, there are not only abendance of natural resources but also a suitable place to live on in a mild climate. Therefore foreign races wanted immigrate in China and on the other hand, sometimes they have invated into China by a struggle to live on there. Among unceasing the struggle and exchanges, the population had been much increased by the immigration of other races from the Tang Age to mordern age. Now China is one of the largest countries and largest population in the world. Here the writer has intented to study some reasons for the immigration of other reaces in China in this paper and the followings are found; 1. As the predominant civilization, the civilization of China had much advanced to compare with other countries in those day. 2. As an abendant natural resources, other races had desired to immigrate in China to live on easily in econimic. 3. As a large territory, they could live on freely as their own will at any places in China. 4. As unseparate states, the nation and people are not distrupted on history, even if they had struggled with invaders. 5. As the scope of the immigrant, the noticed person, politicians, soldiers, artists, technical experts, religionists and merchents are found.

      • HYPER 빔창주위의 열유동 해석에 의한 안전성 평가에 관한 연구

        A spent fuel problem has prevented the nuclear power from claiming to be a completely clean energy source. The nuclear transmutation technology to incinerate the long lived radioactive nuclides and produce energy during the incineration process is believed to be one or the best solutions. HYPER(Hybrid Power Extraction Reactor)is the accelerator driven transmutation system which is being developed by KAERI(Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute). Some major feature of HYPER have been developed and employed. On-power fueling concepts are employed to keep system power constant with minimum variation of accelerator power. A hollow cylinder-type metal fuel is designed for the on-line refueling concept. Lead-bismuth(Pb-Bi) is adopted as a coolant and Spallation target material. One of the issues related to the HYPER target system is the thermal and mechanical loads imposed on the Pb-Bi and the beam window. FLUENT is used for thermal-hydraulic calculation, and finally stress calculation is performed by ANSYS. A beam condition such as current is varied. The initial velocity of Pb-Bi is also varied.

        蒼耳子에 대한 면역글로블린E 생성억제 효과

        We studies inhibitation effect of IgE release in the human B cell line(U266B1) and in the serum and spleen cell of mouse that has been immunized by antigen in order to find antiallergic effect of Fructus Xanthii (FX). We have some findings as below. 1. IgE release in serum was inhibited dose dependently in case of administering FX orally in the mouse immunized. 2. IgE release in serum was inhibited dose dependently in case of injecting FX into abdomen in the mouse immunized. 3. When we take LPS+IL-4 way in the mouse spleen cell, IgE release was less than LPS way. 4. When we take LPS+IL-4 way in the human B cell line (U266B1), IgE release was less than LPS way.

        복어중독에 의한 가사 상태에서 소생한 1예

        Tetrodotoxin is a neurotoxin produced by about 90 species of puffer fish and causes paralysis of central nervous system and peripheral nerves by blocking the movement of all monovalent cation. Ingestion of tetrodotoxin produces clinical manifestations such as paresthesias(within 10-45 min), vomiting, lightheadedness, salivation, muscle twitching, dysphagia, difficulty in speaking, convulsion and death that expressed by cardiopulmonary arrest with loss of brain stem reflex sometimes. Tetrodotoxin prevents or delays ischemia induced neuronal death by way of following 3 mechanisms. Firstly, it reduces the energy demand of the brain tissues. Secondly, it delays or even prevents anoxic depolarization. Finally, it deminishes ischemia induced cell swelling and cerebral edema. We report a case of puffer fish poisoning which presented with cardiopulmonary arrest and loss of brain stem reflex, but completely recovered by aggressive cardiopulmonary resuscitation.

      • 예도(銳刀)의 미시사적 관점으로 바라본 무예실제에 관한 분석

        예도(銳刀)에 관한 보다 정확한 고찰은 오늘날 전통무예단체들이 『武藝圖譜通志』를 통한 전통무예의 실제를 복원 및 재현함에 있어 크나큰 도움이 될 것이다. 이는 예도(銳刀)가 전통무예사에 대한 단초적 역할을 제공할 수 있는 초석이 될 수 있기 때문이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 예도의 설(說: 해설(解說))과 기(技: 기예(技藝))의 형식적 분석과 전통무예의 복원에 관한 이론적 배경을 정립하기 위하여 고서와 도록 등의 다양한 자료를 검토‧분석하였는데 이는 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 첫째, 예도(銳刀)의 종합적 분석을 통한 예도의 형식은 병기도식(兵器圖式)․설(設) 11개․예도보(銳刀譜)․예도총보(銳刀總譜)와 예도총도(銳刀總圖)로 구성되어 있음을 알았다. 둘째, 예도는 본국검과 더불어 조선을 대표하는 한국 고유의 전통검법으로 임진왜란을 계기로 새롭게 발굴 정립되었으며 정조가 재위했던 1800년대까지 약 200년 걸쳐 전승되면서 민족의 재산과 생명을 지켜왔던 국방무예(24반 무예)였다. 셋째, 국난을 극복하고 국토를 수호하려는 선조들의 의지로 완성된 24반 무예 속에 녹아 든 활달한 몸짓 속에는 민족자존의 의지와 불굴에 투혼이 배어 있다. 이와 같이 오늘날 한․중․일의 칼 쓰는 법을 비교해 볼 때, 『武藝圖譜通志』의 예도가 갖는 의미와 가치는 대단히 귀중하다 할 수 있겠다. 이상과 같이 종합해 볼 때, 앞으로 이 한국무예 예도(銳刀)에 관한 심도 있는 연구가 이루어질 때 비로소 예도(銳刀)가 세계적인 보편무예로 발전하는 중요한 기반이 될 것으로 기대하는 바이다.
