(三國史記參照) 人類도 精卵細胞와 精原細胞와의 接觸에서 胚胎한다는것이 오날의科學的說明이지만 卵生說話의얼마나 非科學的이고 神話性을 띤것인가는 인제다시 累累히 贅言할必要도 없다. 그렇나 모든것이 알(卵)에서 난다고본것이 古代人의進化觀念이엿다. 그리하야 새알(鳥卵) 팟알(豆粒) 속알(內包) 눈알(眼匡)衍 꽁알(球) 禽鳥와같은 생물의 「알」에서 出發하야 「속알멩이」와같은內包, (內容의存在)를 「속알」이라고하며 그것은 알(卵)과같은 圖形 球形 粒子物體에 全部敷衍, 適用되게 되였다.
A Dynamic P2P Resource Sharing Architecture for Adapting MPEG-21 Digital Items in Mobile Networks

Due to the vast size, real-time requirement, QoS consideration, etc., of mobile devices, techniques like multimedia transcoding are developed to satisfy the need of surfing the multimedia services using mobile devices. In this paper, we propose a P2P resource sharing architecture for adapting MPEG-21 digital items in mobile networks. In the proposed P2P architecture, digital items can be shared among heterogeneous networking environments. Meanwhile, digital items can be dynamically adapted according to the networking situation and user’s device capacity. The proposed P2P system introduced a new cache and replacement algorithm for managing adapted digital items, which can smooth the transcoding delay variations of digital items during subsequent resource sharing among different networked devices.
Up and Down : On Some Concepts of Path in Korean Motion Verbs

Monomorphematic lexicalizations seem to provide the most restricted kind of evidence for typological constraints in lexicalization patterns. The article starts off by illustrating this point with lexicalizatioin patterns for concepts of modality. The remaining part of the article examines lexicalization patterns in motion verbs. Following Talmy's well-known typology, Korean is classified as a path language, that is as a language which incorporates the path or a motion in a monomorphematic verb (as opposed to manner languages like English and German of figure languages). 'Path' is defined as a set of conditions which the motion or a moving figure takes with respect to some ground. The meaning of a particular path verb is a specific set of such conditions. For semantic analysis along these lines, Korean verbs which express motion along a path upwards or downwards are selected. The contribution of cases (-ul, -e, -ro, -eso) and of relational nouns (wi, arae, mit and so on) to the description of motion events are also considered. Semantic analysis shows a strong correspondence of the concepts lexicalized in Korean verbs for movement upwards and downwards. There is also a high degree of systematicity in the lexicalizations of intransitive and transitive verbs and in the field of Korean path verbs in general. Incidentally, verbs which express events of 'falling' are given some attention.

evidence has suggested that the formation of partially unfolded denatured intermediate serves asa crucial prerequisite for protein fibril formation/aggregation. Despite extensive exploration on amyloid fibril formation,the detailed molecular mechanism has remained largely unknown. Here, we examined the effects of urea on the dena-turation of hen egg-white lysozymes. Our results demonstrated that, in the solutions (pH 7.4) with 8 M urea at all tem-peratures and with 4 M urea at 45 or 55oC, the amyloid fibril-like species were first produced and then vanished whilesuch species were not observed under other conditions. In addition, SDS-PAGE results further indicated that largeraggregated species with less ordered structures were formed at the later stage of the urea-induced unfolding processmolecular mechanism(s) of protein denaturation.

<P>Most well-known metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) possessing the magnetic Ni<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>(CO<SUB>2</SUB>)<SUB>2</SUB> chains, called Ni-MOF-74, have been investigated with regard to magnetic properties at open-metal sites. We present the modulation of their magnetic phase and metamagnetism via imidazole molecule coordination.</P><P>The magnetic properties in metal−organic frameworks (MOFs), possessing Ni<SUP>II</SUP> ions in a honeycomb structure, are experimentally and theoretically investigated. The magnetically ordered state at low temperatures can be altered via imidazole molecule (IM) coordination. IM coordination influences the spin state of Ni<SUP>II</SUP> ions with orbital geometries, resulting in observed shifts in the critical temperature and field. The magnetic behavior in MOF-74-IMs reveals the coexistence of spin canting, metamagnetism, and magnetic phase transition.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>
A Vertically Intersected Dual Axes Modularized Actuator System (DAMA)

A Vertically Intersected Dual Axes Modularized Actuator System (DAMA) designed for humanoid robots is developed in this paper. The DAMA consists of two independent joint systems, joint 01 and joint02. Joint 01 uses a harmonic drive while joint02 uses a cable arrangement. Based on the simulations of ADMAS and MATLAB software packages, the system dynamic properties can be observed. The system structure is further refined using finite element analysis. In addition, the hardware and software control systems of DAMA are developed. The architecture of hardware is composed of notebook computer, a USB to RS-232 module, an RS-232 to CAN Bus Module and two independent-joint controller modules. The software control system (user interface) is written by Visual C++ 2005 to enable users to manipulate a two-axial robot easily. The system employs a simple, but effective, PID scheme to independently control the DAMA’s two joints. The experimental result shows that, for an S curve input position command, the DAMA’s two independent joints rotate and track the command well. Hence, DAMA can be used as a generic module for a multiple degree-of-freedom system.
