The aim of this article is to introduce hesitant fuzzy paraopen and hesitant fuzzy mean open sets in hesitant fuzzy topological spaces. Moreover we investigate and extend some properties of hesitant fuzzy mean open with hesitant fuzzy paraopen, hesitant fuzzy minmimal open and maximal open sets in hesitant fuzzy topological spaces.
Hydrodynamics of co-current downward liquid-liquid system with packing

The effect of packing and its voidage on the hydrodynamic characteristics of co-current downward liquidliquid system (CCDLLS) was studied using water and three different oils (exxsol, kerosene and white oil). Two flow regimes, homogeneously dispersed oil regime and heterogeneously dispersed oil, were observed with the total pressure drop showing a minimum at the regime transition velocity. Depending on the packing, frictional pressure drop either shows a minimum or monotonically increases with water velocity. Low-density oil results in higher holdup and correspondingly higher frictional pressure drop. Higher dispersed phase holdup is obtained by using a low voidage packing. Semi-empirical/empirical equations are proposed to predict the frictional pressure drop and phase holdup.
Comparison on Properties and Efficiency of Bacterial and Electrospun Cellulose Nanofibers

Cellulose nanofibers were prepared from bacterial synthesis (bottom up approach) and electrospinning technique (top down method). Significant differences are noticed between bacterial (BC) and electrospun cellulose nanofibers (EC) in their properties such as diameter of fibers, decomposition temperature, surface area and mechanical strength. Filtration of cadmium oxide micro-particles and Staphylococcus aureus bio-aerosol using BC and EC was prominently influenced by their properties. Furthermore, in-vitro release of sparingly water soluble drug, ibuprofen was carried out using BC and EC as carrier materials.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Two Fe-22 wt% Cr ferritic stainless steels containing varying concentrations of La (0.14 or 0.52 wt%), Cu (0.17 or 1.74 wt%) and B (48 or 109 ppm) are investigated with respect to oxidation behavior and high temperature area specific resistance (ASR) of the surface oxide scales. To determine the oxidation resistance of developed steels, continuous isothermal oxidation is carried out at 800 °C in air, for 2000 h, and their thermally grown oxide scale is characterized using dynamic SIMS, SEM/EDX, XRD and GI-XRD techniques. To assess their electrical performance, the ASR measurement by four-point probe method is conducted at 800 °C in air, for 400 h. In higher La content steel, the La-oxides at the scale/alloy interface promotes the oxygen transport which resulted in sub-surface oxidation of Mn, Cr, Ti and Al. Moreover, the inward growth of oxides contributes to increase of Fe-Cr alloy protrusions within the scale, which reduced the ASR. In contrast, sub-surface oxidation is reduced in high Cu-alloyed steel by segregated Cu at the scale/alloy interface. Thus, addition of Cu is effective to oxidation resistance and also to better electrical performance. However, no obvious impact of B on the scale sequence and/or ASR is observed.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> La-oxides at the scale/alloy interface promotes inward oxygen transport. </LI> <LI> Higher La content in steel enhances the sub-surface oxidation of Mn, Cr, Ti and Al. </LI> <LI> Fe-Cr alloy protrusions in oxide scale reduces area specific resistance. </LI> <LI> Addition of Cu is effective to oxidation resistance. </LI> <LI> Higher La content in steel is beneficial for electrical performance. </LI> </UL> </P>

This article is devoted to introduce the notion of fuzzy cleanly covered fuzzy topological spaces; in addition two strong fuzzy separation axioms are studied. By means of fuzzy maximal open sets some properties of fuzzy cleanly covered fuzzy topological spaces are obtained and also by means of fuzzy maximal closed sets few identical results of a fuzzy topological spaces are investigated. Through fuzzy minimal open and fuzzy maximal closed sets, two strong fuzzy separation axioms are discussed.
ON FUZZY MAXIMAL, MINIMAL AND MEAN OPEN SETS

We have observed that there exist certain fuzzy topological spaces with no fuzzy minimal open sets. This observation motivates us to investigate fuzzy topological spaces with neither fuzzy minimal open sets nor fuzzy maximal open sets. We have observed if such fuzzy topological spaces exist and if it is connected are not fuzzy cut-point spaces. We also study and characterize certain properties of fuzzy mean open sets in fuzzy T<sub>1</sub>-connected fuzzy topological spaces.
SOME REMARKS ON FUZZY MEAN OPEN, CLOSED AND CLOPEN SETS

The purpose of this article is to study few properties of fuzzy mean open and fuzzy mean closed sets in fuzzy topological spaces. Further, the idea of fuzzy mean clopen set is introduced. It is observed that a fuzzy mean clopen set is both fuzzy mean open and fuzzy mean closed but the converse is not true.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Discontinuous oxidation of La (0.14–0.52 wt.%), Cu (0.17–1.74 wt.%) and B (48–109 ppm) alloyed Fe‐22Cr ferritic stainless steels, and Crofer 22 APU (0.047 wt.% La), have been studied at 800 °C, in flowing air‐2% H<SUB>2</SUB>O atmosphere, for 1300 h. The determined parabolic rate constants (1.65–2.58 × 10<SUP>‐4</SUP> mg<SUP>2</SUP> cm<SUP>‐4</SUP> h<SUP>‐1</SUP>) are quite close to each other. Benefits of high La‐alloying are not caused by the reduction in oxidation, but rather by the alteration in scale growth direction. On the other hand, high Cu‐alloying promotes the segregation of Cu at the scale/alloy interface, which suppresses the sub‐surface and/or internal oxidation.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> La, Cu, and B alloyed ferritic steels were developed for solid oxide fuel cell interconnects. </LI> <LI> Oxidation in cathode side atmosphere (air with 2% water vapor) was investigated. </LI> <LI> Oxides of La, Ti and B‐incorporated mixed Mn‐Cr spinel outer layer was formed. </LI> <LI> La‐addition enables inward oxide growth which resulted in Fe‐Cr alloy protrusions. </LI> <LI> Cu‐segregation at the oxide scale/alloy interface prevents sub‐scale oxidation. </LI> </UL> </P>

In this work, salicylic acid based hyperbranched polyester (HBPE) was synthesized by simple condensation method. The transformation from aliphatic nature to aromatic nature of polymer in the subsequent reaction steps were identified using FTIR and NMR results. The predictable structure and the molecular weight of the polymer were established with the help of LC-MS analysis. The amorphous nature, lowest glass transition temperature (~31 oC) and thermal behaviour of the polymer were traced using DSC and TGA. The polymer displayed the fluorescence maxima in the 450-525 nm range with relatively narrow peak widths indicating that they had pure and intense fluorescence. The antimicrobial activity of the salicylic acid based HBPE was evaluated against the Gram negative organisms like Escherichia coli and Salmonella paratyphi, Gram positive organisms as Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus and fungi such as Aspergillus niger, and Candida albicans. The antimicrobial effect of polymer showed better efficiency than standard antibiotic drug such as Ciprofloxacin and Clotrimazole for both bacteria and fungi respectively except in the case of microorganisms such as Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. The minimum inhibitory concentration value of the polymer against Bacillus subtilis was tested and found to be 31.25 μg mL-1.
