Transparent top-gate Al-Zn-Sn-O (AZTO) thin-film transistors (TFTs) with an $Al_2O_3$ protective layer (PL) on an active layer were studied, and a transparent 2.5-inch QCIF+AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) display panel was fabricated using an AZTO TFT backplane. The AZTO active layers were deposited via RF magnetron sputtering at room temperature, and the PL was deposited via two different atomic-layer deposition (ALD) processes. The mobility and subthreshold slope were superior in the TFTs annealed in vacuum and with oxygen plasma PLs compared to the TFTs annealed in $O_2$ and with water vapor PLs, but the bias stability of the TFTs annealed in $O_2$ and with water vapor PLs was excellent.
Feasibility of FAIR imaging for evaluating tumor perfusion

<B>Purpose:</B><P>To evaluate the feasibility of flow-sensitive alternating inversion recovery (FAIR) for measuring blood flow in tumor models.</P><B>Materials and Methods:</B><P>In eight mice tumor models, FAIR and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) was performed. The reliability for measuring blood flow on FAIR was evaluated using the coefficient of variation of blood flow on psoas muscle. Three regions of interest (ROIs) were drawn in the peripheral, intermediate, and central portions within each tumor. The location of ROI was the same on FAIR and DCE-MR images. The correlation between the blood flow on FAIR and perfusion-related parameters on DCE-MRI was evaluated using the Pearson correlation coefficient.</P><B>Results:</B><P>The coefficient of variation for measuring blood flow was 9.8%. Blood flow on FAIR showed a strong correlation with Kep (r = 0.77), percent relative enhancement (r = 0.73), and percent enhancement ratio (r = 0.81). The mean values of blood flow (mL/100 g/min) (358 vs. 207), Kep (sec<SUP>−</SUP><SUP>1</SUP>) (7.46 vs. 1.31), percent relative enhancement (179% vs. 134%), and percent enhancement ratio (42% vs. 26%) were greater in the peripheral portion than in the central portion (P < 0.01).</P><B>Conclusion:</B><P>As blood flow measurement on FAIR is reliable and closely related with that on DCE-MR, FAIR is feasible for measuring tumor blood flow. Background/Aims: Glutathione S-transferase P1 (GSTP1) scavenges radicals via its peroxidase activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the association of GSTP1 genetic polymorphisms with the expression of H. pylori-associated gastroduodenal disease. Methods: This study involved 1,911 subjects, comprising patients with four diseases (gastric cancer, dysplasia, benign gastric ulcer, and duodenal ulcer disease) and controls. Biallelic polymorphisms were genotyped by restriction fragment length polymorphism techniques. Results: The frequency of the genetic polymorphism at nucleotide 313 of GSTP1 did not differ among the five study groups. However, when the gastric cancer group was subdivided into advanced gastric cancer (AGC) and early gastric cancer, the frequency of the G/G genotype was significantly higher in the AGC group than in all the control subgroups (OR: 1.2, 95% CI: 1.1-4.9). The frequency of this genotype differed significantly in the H. pylori-positive AGC group (OR: 2.7, 95% CI: 1.1-6.3) but not in the H. pylori-negative group. Furthermore, the difference was greater in the intestinal type, and was not found in diffuse types of disease. Conclusions: This study found that genetic polymorphisms of GSTP1 were associated with H. pylori-associated gastric cancer only during the advanced stage of gastric cancer, with intestinal-type histology evident in H. pylori-positive subjects. This study was conducted to evaluate agronomic characteristics such as growth, quality, and yields of StMyb1R-1 transgenic potato and also to obtain the basic data for establishing assessment guidelines of transgenic potato. Three transgenic lines (Myb 1, Myb 2, and Myb 8) were cultivated under conventional irrigation, drought condition, and severe drought condition and were analyzed by comparing with wild type, non-transgenic cv. Superior. Myb 2 showed a different flower color from wild type and Myb 1 had much bigger secondary leaflets than wild type. Myb 1 and Myb 2 showed higher P2O5 content in both top and root zone and longer shaped tubers than wild type. In yield factors, transgenic lines had more tubers than wild type, however their yield decreases were severe because of the poor enlargement of tuber under water deficit condition. This tendency was noticeable in Myb 1 and Myb 2. In TR ratio, chlorophyll content, dry matter rate, and relative water content, there were no big differences between transgenic lines and wild type. Meanwhile, in phenotype, growth, quality, and yield factors, substantial equivalent was confirmed between Myb 8 and wild type. Then, Myb 8 showed the highest marketable tuber yield under conventional irrigation, while showed lower level than wild type under water deficit. Judged by this result, the enhancing droughttolerance by StMyb1R-1 gene might actually not mean the enhancement of photosynthesis or starch accumulation in tuber and, furthermore, not the yield improvement. More detailed research will be required to accurately understand the relationship between StMyb1R-1 and yield factors.
