Air void systems in hardened concrete has an important influence on concrete durability such as freeze-thaw resistance, water permeability, surface scaling resistance. Linear traverse method and point count method described at ASTM are the routine analysis of the air void system that have been widely used to estimate the spacing factor in hardened concrete. Recently, many concretes often have a spacing factor higher than the generally accepted 200-250㎛ limit for the usual range of air contents. This study is proposed to estimate the plane spacing factor by calculation of simplicity. The plane spacing factor need two parameters that are air content and numbers of air voids in the hardened concrete. Those obtained from the standard air-void system analysis of the ASTM C 457. The equation is valid for all values of paste-to-air ratio because the estimation of paste content is unnecessary at the using ASTM C 457. The plane spacing factor yields a similar estimate of the standard spacing factor.

For the content-based image database retrieval, we proposed a hierarchical retrieval method in transform domain using color and texture feature. First, we extract color feature in low-level subband of wavelet transform, and then retrieve the images within color boundary by the color feature. Next, we extract texture feature in other subbands for the hierarchical retrieval, and retrieve the candidate images from the images within color boundary. In the experimental results using 200 images, the performace of proposed method is better than Tamura's method.

Silicon-to-silicon anodic bonding was accomplished using lithium doped interlayer. Lithium doped interlayers were deposited on silicon substrates by electron beam evaporation, which has a fast deposition rate compared with sputtering method. Silicon-to-silicon bonding occurs in the range of temperatures from 250℃ to 300℃ with the applied voltages from 70V_(DC) to 100V_(DC). The bonding strength obtained from tensile test was about 5MPa under the condition of 80V_(DC) in 300℃. The surface morphology of lithium doped interlayer was studied with the atomic force microscopy (AFM). Finally, secondary ion mass spectroscopy (SIMS) analysis was carried out in order to investigate the role of the lithium ions in bonding mechanism.

반복 하중을 받게 되는 하중전달형의 필릿 용접이음에서는 용접 토우부 뿐만 아니라 용입 부족부 선단에서도 응력집중을 일으키고 피로균열이 발생/ 전파하는 경우가 있다. 특히/ 용접 루트부에서 발생한 균열은 육안관찰이 불가능하고 초음파 탐상등에 의한 비파괴 검사에 의해서도 검출이 곤란한 경우가 많다. 이것은 중대한 손상을 일으키기 까지 방치되는 경우가 많기 때문에 용접 루트부에서 발생하는 균열에 대한 연구는 현재 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 최근 유한요소 해석시 요소의 크기에 둔감하다고 알려진 구조응력 기법을 이용하여 용입 부족부를 가지는 하중전달형 필릿 용접부의 피로 파손모드를 평가하였다. 용접부 다리길이의 변화에 따른 사례 연구를 통하여 용접 루트부의 파손을 피할 수 있는 용접부 시공기준에 관한 연구를 수행하였으며 이에 대한 구조응력 기법의 적용 가능성을 검토하였다.
구간 분할 제어를 이용한 형상기억합금 와이어의 온도제어에 관한 연구

The key technology of robot is the design of the actuator. Particularly breakthroughs of power-to-weight ratio or energy-density III actuator technology have significant impacts upon the design and the control of robotic systems. To realize the anthropomorphic motion, artificial muscles such as shape memory alloy(SMA) and electro active polymer(EAP) are used. These actuators have the higher energy density than the electromechanical actuators such as the electric motor. The EAP has the property of good elasticity, but it is difficult to get the required power. The SMA has the good power density and simple structure, but the control scheme of the actuator is difficult. In this paper, temperature control of SMA wire using segment control is studied. The SMA wire is segmented by thermo-electric module(TEM). To supply constant currents in TEMs, MOSFET is used. Hysteresis in one segment of SMA wire is evaluated. The force and displacement of SMA wire are measured according to the number of segment. The program to control the temperature of TEM is developed by using LabVIEW software.
Wavelet 변환 영역에서 특징을 이용한 영상 검색 시스템의 구현

For the efficient image retrieval, we propose a retrieval method in wavelet transform domain, using color and texture feature. After performing the 2-level wavelet transform on Hue value of image, we extract color feature in low-level subband and texture feature in other subbands. And then, we use the extracted features as index keys. We retrieve the candidate images from the image database by matching the index key of a query image with the ones of images in the database. We implemented the proposed image retrieval system in WWW Client/Server environment. In the experimental results using 250 images, the proposed method shows about 93%, 82% in term of Recall and Precision.
