A novel bumping material, which is composed of a resin and Sn3Ag0.5Cu (SAC305) solder power, has been developed for the maskless solder-on-pad technology of the fine-pitch flip- chip bonding. The functions of the resin are carrying solder powder and deoxidizing the oxide layer on the solder power for the bumping on the pad on the substrate. At the same time, it was designed to have minimal chemical reactions within the resin so that the cleaning process after the bumping on the pad can be achieved. With this material, the solder bump array was successfully formed with pitch of 150 µm in one direction.

FA (Fanconi’s Anemia) is an autosomal recessive disorder that is characterized by pancytopenia with bone marrow hypoplasia, diverse congenital abnormalities and an increased predisposition towards malignancy. The mainstay of the treatment for these cancers has been surgery, because of the hypersensitive reactions of FA patients to DNA cross- linking agents or radiation. Therefore, there has been no effective therapy for advanced squa mous cell carcinoma. We report here on a patient suffering from advanced multiple squamous cell carcinoma and hepatocellular carcinoma along with an FA, and this patient was treated with gefitinib.
Soft toric lens rotation measurement using Slit-lamp method and built-in camera of smart phone

Purpose: Aims of this study were to investigate the agreement and test-retest repeatability of two methods for measuring magnitude of soft toric lens rotation. The two methods assessed were a newly developed mobile application for iPhone which uses the built-in camera function and the slit lamp biomicroscope. Methods: Agreement of ToriExpertä against known reference source was tested under experimental situation. For clinical measurement, thirty three participants (66 eyes) wore toric lens (prism ballast design) both eyes. Two investigators measured toric lens rotation using the two methods which are slit-lamp measurement(HS-700) and mobile application. First investigator used the same method twice for assessment of test-retest repeatability of each method. Inter- and intra-investigator agreement and repeatability were assessed using Bland-Altman analysis. Results: Against the known reference sources, mean variance was 0.52±0.75 degree and limits of agreement was ±1.47 degree (95% of Cls). The limits of agreement between the silt-lamp biomicroscope and mobile application methods was ±9.1 degree (95% CIs). Measurements using the two different methods showed no statistically significant mean difference (paired t-test, p=0.32). Inter-investigator agreement of lens rotation was ±7.9 degree (95% CIs) using the slit-lamp microscope and ±7.8 degree using mobile application. Intra-investigator repeatability was ±6.6 degree using the slit lamp microscope and ±6.8 using mobile application. Conclusions: The results should be considered in view of the fact that soft toric lenses are not static but move with the blink thus the location of the reference point is unlikely to be at exactly the same location at the different measurement times. Despite this source of variability in the results, the newly developed mobile application provides clinically comparable performance to slit lamp biomicroscope measurement which does not appear to be investigator dependent. This mobile application may provide sufficient precision to those optometric practices have limited access to slit-lamp biomicroscope for measuring soft toric lens rotation.

A 44-year-old man treated with azathioprine, cyclosporine and prednisolone for 7.5 years after allogeneic renal transplantation was admitted because of exertional dyspnea, fatigue and pancytopenia which were found 3 months ago. He had been on hemodialysis for renal failure of unknown cause for 8 months before the renal transplantation. Bone marrow examination showed hypercellularity, erythroid hyperplasia and 7% of myeloblast, consistent with the diagnosis of myelodysplastic syndrome. Cytogenetic study showed chromosomal abnormalities:deletion of chromosome 5, monosomy 7, trisomy 8, monosomy 14 and deletion of chromosome 17. Immunosuppressive agents were discontinued and he was treated with transfusion, G-CSF, and combination chemotherapy including topotecan and Ara-C. Graft kidney function was normal before and after the treatment, but the clinical course was fatal because of leukemic transformation and eventually sepsis. Although therapy induced myelodysplastic syndrome was rare in renal allograft recipients, thorough evaluations including bone marrow biopsy and cytogenetic study are recommended in patients with anemia of unknown etiology.

전자선의 입사에너지를 단계적으로 증가시키면서 PET박막에 주입된 전자에 의한 전하 분포를 측정하였다. 가상전극의 위치는 실제 전자 위치보다 1.3~2배나 더 깊게 위치하여 있었으며, recall시간은 2~5분 정도가 적당함을 알았다. 5 keV의 전자선을 조사시켰을 때 음전하가 0.2~1μm영역에 분포되어 있었고 0.2μm이하에서는 2차 이온 발생에 의해 양전하가 분포됨을 알았다. The spatial charge distribution in 25㎛ PET film was investigated increasing stepwisely the incident energy of electron using small accelerator. The location of virtual electrode was found to be deeper by a factor of 1.3∼2 than real electron penetration range, which means that the tail of conduction profile is extended more deeper than real charge location. The adequate recall time was found to be 2∼5min. The negative charge in 5 keV electron beam irradiated PET film were distributed in the region from 0.2㎛ to 1㎛, and unexpected positive charge were distributed in the region less than 0.2㎛ due to secondary ion production.
