        설악산국립공원 지역의 노루 서식지 이용 특성에 관한 연구

        This study was conducted to obtain the basic research about Siberian roe deer (Capreolus pygargus), and to establish a conservation area into Seoraksan(Mt.) National Park, South Korea. We recorded Siberian roe deer field signs (bedding sites, feeding areas, feces and tracks etc), and habitat variables such as nearest distance to the watercourse, trails, slope, aspect, forest type and land cover etc. from Jan. 2006 to Dec. 2007 in Seoraksan(Mt.) National Park. According to the research of habitat characteristics of Siberian roe deer inhabited in Seoraksan(Mt.) National Park preferred mixed forest consisted of aged forest and middle-aged forest on the gentle slope which was close to hydrosphere in the middle elevation area of altitude of 400~600m above sea level in Seoraksan(Mt.) National Park. The results indicated that Siberian roe deer appeared to prefer south slope or north slope during the snow season and west or east slope during the non-snow season. The area of most suitable habitat for Siberian roe deer in Seoraksan(Mt.) National Park was 125.8km2 (32% of the total area) followed by 244.3km2 buffer area (62.2% of the total area), and 22.9km2 unsuitable habitat area (5.8% of the total area), which means environmentally unsuitable habitat for Siberian roe deer was rare in Seoraksan(Mt.) National Park. Thus, the area classified as major area in Seoraksan(Mt.) National Park appeared to be most important for the protection of Siberian roe deer.

        Elevational Distribution of Breeding Bird Communities in Seoraksan National Park, Korea

        In this study, the elevational distribution of breeding birds in Seoraksan National Park, Korea was investigated. Forty-six species of birds were documented from line transect surveys taken from Seorakdong at 230 m above sea level (a.s.l.) to the Daechungbong summit at 1708 m asl. Birdspecies richness and diversity were highest in Seorakdong and lowest at the Daechungbong summit. As elevation increased, bird species richness and diversity decreased, with a humped-shape trend being observed between 700 m and 1200 m a.s.l. Stepwise analyses revealed that breeding bird species diversity indices were significantly negatively correlated with elevation (r<sup>2</sup> = 0.327, P < 0.001) and positively correlated with vegetational coverage (r<sup>2</sup> = 0.324, P = 0.046). Higher elevations supported fewer birds than low and intermediate elevations. Projections at the local scale, including data on behavior and habitat use by birds, will be necessary for optimal conservation and management of the bird communities in Seoraksan National Park.

        We introduced mechanical stimuli and micro patterned substrate with micro fibers to investigate the effects of those on neurite outgrowth along with nerve growth factor (NGF) in vitro. Micro fiber substrates were fabricated using an electros pinning process. And PC-12 cells cultured on substrates were simulated with newer growth factor and laminar flow shear stress in a fluid flow system. The results suggest that micro fiber substrates and fluid-induced shear stress are promising for simulating neuronal regeneration in a desired direction.

      • 레슬링 선수의 신체적 자기개념이 심리적 행복감에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this survey was the effect of physical self-concept on the psychological happiness of wrestling athlete, and hypothetical models, then after, I examined the cause-effect relationship between variables through means of structural equation model. To test this, 172 participants were sampled from the position athletes of korea wrestling federation using stratified cluster random sampling, and then frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis, and path analysis of the resulting data were conducted using SPSS 15.0 program. Results revealed from these research methods and analyses of data are as follows: First, there were significant differences in gender according to individual characteristics in flexibility, fat/thin, general physical concept, appearance, health, and self-esteem. Age according to individual characteristics in endurance, and self-esteem. Term of athletics contribution according to individual characteristics in flexibility, physical activity, and endurance. Frequency of athletics contribution according to individual characteristics in flexibility, endurance, and fat/thin. second, there were age in communication according to individual characteristics in satisfaction and happiness. Frequency of athletics in communication according to individual characteristics in satisfaction and happiness. Third, endurance, general physical concept, and appearance had significant influences on satisfaction, and explains 27.4%(R²=.274) of the physical self-concept. Fourth, general physical concept, and self-esteem had significant influences on happiness and explains 24.3%(R²=.243) of the physical self-concept.

        췌십이지장절제술 후 발생한 지속적인 구토증과 Wernicke 뇌병증

        Wernicke encephalopathy is an acute neurologic disorder attributable to thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency. We report the case of a 61-year-old female patient who presented Wernicke encephalopathy after surgery for pancreatic head cancer. From the ninth postoperative day, she had suffered from nausea and vomiting and had difficulties ingesting food, she was given total parenteral nutrition (TPN), but lacked adequate vitamin (thiamine) supplementation. After 28 days, she developed ataxia, ophthalmoplegia, and mental confusion. The magnetic resonance image showed pathologic changes in the medial thalamus,periaqueductal gray matter, medulla and mamillary bodies. The blood level of thiamine was very low. After intravenous and oral supplementation of thiamine (200 mg/day), consciousness was soon normalized and neurologic symptoms have gradually been improving. Nausea and vomiting disappeared after administration of a low dose of mirtazapine (7.5 mg/day). We emphasize the importance of thiamine supplementation to the patients who suffer from vomiting which hinders them from taking food and who require prolonged TPN.

      • 가새의 유무를 고려한 평면골조의 최소중량설계에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 순차이차계획법(SQP)을 이용하여 고층철골 구조물의 가새의 유무에 따른 층간변위, 부재강도, 층간변위와 부재강도 등의 구속조건으로 최적설계를 수행하였다. 그 결과 횡하중만을 고려한 경우에는 충간변위가 부재강도보다 전체거동에 더 영향을 줌을 알 수 있었다. 또한 구조물의 층수의 증가에 따라 강성 구속조건이 전체거동에 지배적임을 알 수 있다. In this study, the optimum design is performed with the restrained condition such as the story drift, the maximum displacement, and the strength of members. When considering lateral loads except for vertical loads, the optimum weight based on the lateral drift constraint is more heavy than that based on strength constraint. As the frame work becomes higher, stiffness governs the performance of frame.

      • 태권도 선수들의 영양지식, 식습관, 음식기호도 및 영양 섭취에 관한 연구

        This study surveyed and analyzed the nutritional knowledge, eating habits, food preferences and nutrition intakes, 48.5% of the athletes get nutrition information and most of them(61.1%) get such information from amateur, and they want to get information from a nutritionist or nutritioneipert. The lever of nutrition knowledge proved to be very low(the athletes on assessment test) and the athletes who have had access to nutrition information of players appeared to score slightly better than the others, 37.9% of the students tended to have breakfast in an irregular pattern. The athletes in choosing the most important mealtime element out of the choices of flavor of food. and athletes" eating habits as 45.7 of them answered that their parents are the mast important influence in developing their eating habits. The survey on food preference of the athletes discovered that most of the food. more than 80% of Taekwondo players liked very much. but the survey on preference of fish and vegetable category are low. When it comes to gender. noodles and instant noodles are significantly more(P<.05). An average male Taekwondo player had 1859kcal, 88 lof the recommended level. while the average female had 1788kcal, 85% of what is normally suggested. female athletes ate significantly more fat than males. however the average vitamin A intake of male athletes were substantially higher(P<.05). There was significant correlations between the level of athletes' basic nutrition knowledge and their Calcium (p<.01) and Vitamin B2 (p<.05)intake. In addition. the level of nutrition knowledge on calorie-providing foods was significantly correlated (p<.05) with Calcium. Kalium. and Vitamin C consumption respectively. Overall nutrition knowledge also had a significant correlation (p<.05) with Calcium intake.

        급성 파라쿼트 중독에서 혈중 파라쿼트 농도

        Background: Paraquat is a bipyridyl compound, and when ingested, concentrated paraquat can cause either rapid death from multisystem failure and cardiovascular shock or delayed death from progressive pulmonary fibrosis. Paraquat is poorly absorbed by inhalation, but when ingested orally, severe illness can occur. Death usually occurs within 2 days if more than 50 ㎎/㎏ of paraquat is ingested . The most important prognostic indicator is the quantity of paraquat absorbed, as shown by the plasma paraquat concentration, and the prognostic indication depends mostly on the description given by the patients and their families about the amount of paraquat ingested, which is often underestimated or overestimagted. For these reasons, we tried to compare the plasma paraquat concentrations with amount of paraquat described by patients or their families. Methods: We reviewed the medical records of 59 patients with acute paraquat poisoning from February 1998 through February 1999, the paraquat concentrations in plasma were measured at Presbyterian Medical Center by using high performance liquid chromatography. Results: There was a striking discrepancy between the plasma paraquat concentration and the ingested amount described by the patients or their families. Conclusion: We recommend that the plasma paraquat concentration be measured in patients being treated for acute paraquat poisoning.
