To enhance the performance of cathodes at low temperatures, a Cu-coated cathode is prepared, and its electrochemical performance is examined by testing its use in a single cell. At $620^{\circ}C$ and a current density of $150mAcm^{-2}$, a single cell containing the Cu-coated cathode has a significantly higher voltage (0.87 V) during the initial operation than does that with an uncoated cathode (0.79 V). According to EIS analysis, the high voltage of the cell with the Cu-coated cathode is due to the dramatic decrease in the high-frequency resistance related to electrochemical reactions. From XPS analysis, it is confirmed that the Cu is initially in the form of $Cu_2O$ and is converted into CuO after 150 h of operation, without any change in the state of the Ni or Li. Therefore, the high initial cell voltage is confirmed to be due to $Cu_2O$. Because $Cu_2O$ is catalytically active toward $O_2$ adsorption and dissociation, $Cu_2O$ on a NiO cathode enhances cell performance and reduces cathode polarization. However, the cell with the Cu-coated cathode does not maintain its high voltage because $Cu_2O$ is oxidized to CuO, which demonstrates similar catalytic activity toward $O_2$ as NiO.

<P>The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficacy of cartilage regeneration when using a mixture of transforming growth factor-beta1 (TGF-beta1)-producing human chondrocytes (hChon-TGF-beta1) and primary human chondrocytes (hChon) ('mixed cells'), compared with either hChon-TGF-beta1 or hChon cells alone. Specifically, mixed cells or hChon cells were first injected intradermally into the backs of immune-deficient nude mice to test the feasibility of cartilage formation in vivo. Both the mixed cells and the hChon-TGF-beta1 cells alone induced cartilage formation in nude mice, whereas hChon cells alone did not. To further test the efficacy of the cells in generating cartilage, an artificially induced partial thickness defect of the femoral condyle of a rabbit knee joint was loaded with hChon-TGF-beta1 cells with or without mixing additional untransduced hChon cells, and hyaline cartilage regeneration was observed at 4 or 6 weeks. The efficiency of complete filling of the defect and the quality of tissue generated after implanting were evaluated on the basis of a histological grading system modified from O'Driscoll et al. (J. Bone Joint Surg. 70A, 595, 1988). Significantly, mixed cells (14.2 +/- 0.9) produced significantly better results than hChon-TGF-beta1 (9.0 +/- 1.7) or hChon (8.0 +/- 1.8) cells alone. Histological and immunohistochemical staining of the newly repaired tissues produced after treatment with either mixed cells or hChon-TGF-beta1 cells alone showed hyaline cartilage- like characteristics. These results suggest that the implantation of mixed cells may be a clinically efficient method of regenerating hyaline articular cartilage.</P>

<P>Interferon-γ release assays (IGRAs) have been incorporated into several national guidelines for latent TB infection (LTBI) diagnosis. However, their optimal application is still controversial and evolving. The aim of this study is to evaluate the performance of confirmatory IGRAs in addition to tuberculin skin tests (TSTs) in high school students with TST-positive (TST+) results who have had contact with another student who had TB (referred to in this article as 'contacts') in TB outbreaks in a high BCG-vaccinated population.</P>

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We propose a piezoelectric energy harvesting technology installed in a roadway speed bump. We have installed a module that can charge mobile phones utilizing a speed bump piezoelectric harvester (SBPH), which is easy to apply to roads. A highly integrated module with 40 piezo-generators was fixed and installed at the center of the speed bump. When a medium-sized vehicle passed the module at a speed of 30 km/h, an output voltage of 144 V<SUB>max</SUB>, output current of 45.2 mA<SUB>max</SUB>, and output power of 4086.08 mW<SUB>max</SUB> (6.81 W/m<SUP>2</SUP>) were measured at a load resistance of 2 kΩ. When the vehicle passed over the SBPH nine times, it charged a capacitor (10,000 μF) to provide 6 V for about 200 s, and the charged electrical energy was enough to operate a cellphone. The self-controlled battery charging system via electricity generated by the piezoelectric module could be applied to a speed bump installed on an actual road.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> The harvester was installed in common speed bump on an actual road. </LI> <LI> The harvesting module produces 4086.08 mW<SUB>max</SUB> and 6.81 W/m<SUP>2</SUP>. </LI> <LI> The harvester successfully charged a mobile phone without external energy source. </LI> <LI> These technologies can improve self-controlled charging system on actual road. </LI> </UL> </P>

Background and Objectives: Concerns remain that early aspirin cessation may be associated with potential harm in subsets at high risk of ischemic events. This study aimed to assess the effects of P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy after 3-month dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) vs. prolonged DAPT (12-month or longer) based on the ischemic risk stratification, the CHADS-P2A2RC, after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Methods: This was a sub-study of the SMART-CHOICE trial. The effect of the randomized antiplatelet strategies was assessed across 3 CHADS-P2A2RC risk score categories. The primary outcome was a major adverse cardiac and cerebral event (MACCE), a composite of all-cause death, myocardial infarction, or stroke. Results: Up to 3 years, the high CHADS-P2A2RC risk score group had the highest incidence of MACCE (105 [12.1%], adjusted hazard ratio [HR], 2.927; 95% confidence interval [CI], 1.358–6.309; p=0.006) followed by moderate-risk (40 [1.4%], adjusted HR, 1.786; 95% CI, 0.868–3.674; p=0.115) and low-risk (9 [0.5%], reference). In secondary analyses, P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy reduced the Bleeding Academic Research Consortium (BARC) types 2, 3, or 5 bleeding without increasing the risk of MACCE as compared with prolonged DAPT across the 3 CHADS-P2A2RC risk strata without significant interaction term (interaction p for MACCE=0.705 and interaction p for BARC types 2, 3, or 5 bleeding=0.055). Conclusions: The CHADS-P2A2RC risk score is valuable in discriminating high-ischemic-risk patients. Even in such patients with a high risk of ischemic events, P2Y12 inhibitor monotherapy was associated with a lower incidence of bleeding without increased risk of ischemic events compared with prolonged DAPT.

본 연구는 중국에서 한류의 이미지가 국가이미지와 한국교육상품 구매의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하고 한류이미지가 한국교육상품 구매의도에 영향을 가질 때 몰입도의 조절효과를 실증하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해, 중국 산동성 소재의 대학교에서 한류에 대해 인지하고 있는 중국 국적의 대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 총 315개의 설문지를 본 연구에 사용하였다. 분석결과, 한류의 인지적 이미지가 한류의 정서적 이미지, 국가이미지 및 교육상품 구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 한류의 정서적 이미지는 국가이미지 및 교육상품 구매의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 특히, 인지적이미지는 정서적이미지 보다 국가이미지에 미치는 영향이 높았다. 이러한 결과는 한류를 적극적으로 활용하여 국가이미지향상과 더불어 한국교육산업의 대중국으로의 활로를 모색해야 한다는 마케팅적 시사점을 제시하고 있다. 중국 내에서의 한류의 이미지를 활성화하기 위해서는 정부적 차원에서의 전·방위적인 한국드라마 등과 같은 문화콘텐츠 육성정책이 긍정적으로 검토되어야 할 것으로 사료된다. This research is to verify the effects of Korean wave image on the national image and purchase intention of Korean educational product empirically. Also, it is to find out the moderating effect of engagement when Korean wave image is affecting purchase intention of Korean educational product. In order to verify this, the questionnaires were distributed to the Chinese university students of Shandong, in China, who recognized the Korean wave, and among those questionnaires, 315 were analyzed for this research. As a result of analysis, cognitive images is found out to make a positive effects on the affective image, national image and purchase intention of Korean educational products. And affective images is found out to make a positive effects on the national image and purchase intention of Korean educational products. This result suggests that throughout the factor of Korean wave, we should improve national image and try to find ways to export Korean educational industry to China. In order to activate Korean wave image in China, the government has to review the cultural contents development policies positively like promoting Korean soap operas.
