Optimization of operating parameters for liquid-cooled PEM fuel cell stacks using Taguchi method

Operating conditions is one of the key factors required to ensure high performance PEM fuel cell stack; careful balance between performance and parasitic loads has to be taken into account to achieve optimum output. This study evaluates numerically key operating parameters of liquid-cooled PEM fuel cell stack with regard to the stack performance, stack efficiency and viability to enhance efficiency utilizing waste heat for combined heat and power. The results indicate that high stack performance does not always associate with high stack efficiency due to higher parasitic load; it is recommended to optimize the operating parameters in terms of efficiency.
Website Design with Higher Search Engine Ranking using Multi-Criteria Decision Model

Websites compete fiercely for the highest rank in search engines. The benefits lie in lower advertisement cost and better promotion effect of the websites for business activities. Therefore, every company expects their website to appear in the top 10 or on the first page of search engines, making web developers highly competitive to get into the highest rank on search engines. In this paper, we explore and evaluate the ability of the PROMETHEE method to index and rank websites based on multi-criteria analysis for the first time. The results are verified with an analytical solution derived manually and validated against Google results. This method allows companies to conveniently compare their websites’ popularity with competitors’ in the search engine, so it can be a powerful tool to improve their websites’ ranking by using the feedback-loop concept to boost their marketing strategy.

As such, search engine - a tool to find online data, e.g., Google, Bing, Yahoo etc - has become the most popular website application among others. In the cyber world, it is widely known that the highest rank website is the most popular one for which it is beneficial not only in terms of advertisement rate, but also can promote the website for business activity. Data management for plant phenomics

Plant phenomics is an area of biology dealing with the analysis of phenotypic traits in plants. It can be cointegrated with other omics like functional genomics, transcriptomics, and metabolomics etc. Phenotypic traits are generated by images of RGB, hyperspectral, near-infrared, thermal, fluorescence imaging and so on. Characterized phenotypes can be revealed in various morphological and physiological measurements of size, growth pattern, biomass and color in plants. The image-base automated plant phenotyping is described as a high throughput plant facility. Despite its advantages like nondestructive phenotyping it has its own limitations such as plant’s complex architectures and environmental conditions at the time of image capture especially in the field. Phenomics generates a large number of images and metadata through phenotyping instruments, so there is a need for proper data processing and managements. Standardized data storage and sharing is also necessary for meaningful data acquisition along with statistical analysis. Processes of data management are largely consisted of data collection, storage, documentation, along with improvement of data quality. In future, plant phenomics must be developed efficiently to store, analyze, protect and share the acquired data. Modern high throughput plant phenotyping could be used effectively in plant improvement programs.
