Novel discontinuous control for exponential synchronization of memristive recurrent neural networks with heterogeneous time-varying delays

        Zhang, Ruimei,Zeng, Deqiang,Park, Ju H.,Zhong, Shouming,Yu, Yongbin Elsevier 2018 Journal of the Franklin Institute Vol.355 No.5

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This paper investigates the exponential synchronization problem of memristive recurrent neural networks (MRNNs) with heterogeneous time-varying delays (HTVDs). First, a novel discontinuous feedback control is designed, in which a tunable scalar is introduced. The tunable scalar makes the controller more flexible in reducing the upper bound of the control gain. Based on this control scheme, the double integral term can be successfully used to construct the LKF. Second, New method for tackling memristive synaptic weights and new estimation technique are presented. Third, based on the LKF and estimation technique, synchronization criterion is derived. In comparison with existing results, the established criterion is less conservatism thanks to the double integral term of the LKF. Finally, numerical simulations are presented to validate the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed results.</P>

      • Nonfragile Sampled-Data Synchronization for Delayed Complex Dynamical Networks With Randomly Occurring Controller Gain Fluctuations

Zhang, Ruimei,Zeng, Deqiang,Park, Ju H.,Liu, Yajuan,Zhong, Shouming IEEE 2018 IEEE transactions on systems, man, and cybernetics Vol.48 No.12

<P>In this paper, the problem of nonfragile sampled-data synchronization of delayed complex dynamical networks with randomly occurring controller gain fluctuations (ROCGFs) is studied. First, more applicable nonfragile memory sampled-data controllers are designed, which involve the signal transmission delay and ROCGFs. The controller gain fluctuations appear in a random way, which obey certain Bernoulli distributed white noise sequences. Second, a modified piecewise Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF), which involves cubic sawtooth structure term, is constructed for the first time. Third, based on the LKF, less conservative synchronization criteria are established. In comparison with the existing results, the constraint condition of the positive definition of the LKF is less restrictive, since it does not need to be positive definite for all time, but is only required to be positive definite at sampling times. Finally, the effectiveness and advantages of the obtained results are illustrated by two numerical examples.</P>

A new method for exponential synchronization of memristive recurrent neural networks

        Zhang, Ruimei,Park, Ju H.,Zeng, Deqiang,Liu, Yajuan,Zhong, Shouming Elsevier science 2018 Information sciences Vol.466 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>This paper investigates the exponential synchronization problem of memristive recurrent neural networks (MRNNs). A novel approach, switching matrix approach, is considered to study synchronization of MRNNs for the first time. All the matrices in the constructed Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) are switching according to different switching rules. Based on the switching matrix approach, a new synchronization criterion is established in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Compared with some existing methods, the switching matrix approach is more flexible and can improve the synchronization performance with low control cost. Finally, numerical simulations are provided to show the effectiveness and advantages of the proposed results.</P>

      • Quantized Sampled-Data Control for Synchronization of Inertial Neural Networks With Heterogeneous Time-Varying Delays

Zhang, Ruimei,Zeng, Deqiang,Park, Ju H.,Liu, Yajuan,Zhong, Shouming IEEE 2018 IEEE transactions on neural networks and learning Vol.29 No.12

<P>This paper is concerned with the problem of synchronization for inertial neural networks (INNs) with heterogeneous time-varying delays (HTVDs) through quantized sampled-data control. The control scheme, which takes the communication limitations of quantization and variable sampling into account, is first employed for tackling the synchronization of INNs. A novel Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional (LKF) is constructed for synchronizing an error system. Compared with existing LKFs by the largest upper bound of all HTVDs, the proposed LKF is superior, since it can make full use of the information on the lower and upper bounds of each HTVD. Based on the LKF and a new integral inequality technique, less conservative synchronization criteria are derived. The desired quantized sampled-data controller is designed by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness and conservatism reduction of the proposed results.</P>

Improved Delay-dependent Stability Criteria for Networked Control System with Two Additive Input Delays

        Daixi Liao,Shouming Zhong,Jinnan Luo,Xiaojun Zhang,Yongbin Yu,Qishui Zhong 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2019 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.17 No.9

This paper is concerned with stability criteria of networked control system with two additive time-varying delay components. Firstly, by separating the whole delay interval into subintervals and using a new inequality in combination with convex polyhedron method, a less conservative criterion is proposed and an approach of stabilization controller design is given based on the obtained criterion. Secondly, a congruent condition and an extended condition with the same allowable delay upper bound are respectively deduced by using two different inequalities. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the obtained method.

      • The Complex Agent Artificial Social Network based on Sugarscape ─CASugarscape

        Qunxiu Yu,Guihong Bi,Shouming Zhang,Chao Wang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.8 No.9

We present an artificial social model of complex agent network, CASugarscape, to study the interaction between social network and social wealth. In the space of Sugarscape, agents survive by constantly looking for wealth within their own social circle taking their own field of vision as radius. However, agents survive by looking for wealth within the social network of friends who share wealth each other in the space of CASugarscape. In the proposed CASugarscape model, agents have different social radius based on social circle theory, which form acquaintance networks through social radius and build friendship networks through the rules of matching social wealth. Individual takes advantage of the distribution information of wealth, which comes from friend network, to look for wealth. The change of agents’ wealth distribution will affect their own acquaintance and friendship networks. Eventually it forms the social wealth and social network co-evolution mechanism. We analyze the impacts of different friend networks built through different rules of matching social wealth on social networks and social wealth distribution.

Finite-time Boundness of H∞ Filtering for Switching Discrete-Time Systems

        Jun Cheng,Hong Zhu,Shouming Zhong,Yu-Ping Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2012 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.10 No.6

For switched discrete-time systems, switching behavior always affect the finite-time stability property, which was neglected by most previous research. This paper investigated the problem of finite-time boundness of H∞ filtering for switched discrete-time systems. Sufficient conditions which can ensure finite-time bounded and H∞ filtering finite-time boundness under arbitrary switching are derived. Based on the results of finite-time boundness and stochastic character, the closed-loop system trajectory stays within a prescribed bound. An example is given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method.

The FvCYP714C2 gene plays an important role in gibberellin synthesis in the woodland strawberry

        Xiaofan Guo,Zhibing Xie,Yang Zhang,Shouming Wang 한국유전학회 2021 Genes & Genomics Vol.43 No.1

Background Fragaria vesca, the woodland strawberry, is a diploid relative of the cultivated strawberry. A GA-defcient mutant was found in ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS)-mutagenized lines of the Fragaria vesca accession ‘Yellow Wonder’. Objective CYP714C2 was found to be diferentially expressed using RNA-seq analysis. It is necessary to identify the function of this gene. Methods In order to identify the function of this gene, it was cloned and transformed into Arabidopsis thaliana. Results The DNA sequence of CYP714C2 was found to be 1940 bp in length, with an open reading frame (ORF) of 1539 bp that is predicted to encode a protein of 512 amino acids. The hydrophilicity of this protein is low and it is unstable. The highest relative expression of FvCYP714C2 was found in the leaves, followed by the pedicels, and low expression levels were found in the other tissues examined. Constitutive expression of FvCYP714C2 signifcantly promoted the growth of transgenic A. thaliana plants; transgenic Arabidopsis plants grew faster and grew well than wild type Col-0 plants. GA1+3 contents of the genetically modifed Arabidopsis lines were signifcantly higher than that in the wild type. Conclusion We conclude that FvCYP714C2 is a gene that functions in the gibberellin biosynthesis pathway in strawberry.
