There are several difficulties in using commercially available microwave CAD software in an educational environment. These programs are copy protected which makes them hard to distribute on to large number of personal computers. This thesis is a study on the development of computer aided programs for automatic microwave circuit design. The program suggested by author combines analysis, optimization and synthesis with interactive graphics for maximum user convenience and efficiency. A design example of the INMARSAT ship-earth station 3 stage low noise amplifier using GaAs MESFET and Bipolar Transistor is presented to illustrate the capabilities of the program.

본 연구에서는 전산유체역학(CFD)를 이용하여 흄후드(fume hood)의 기류 유입특성 및 유속 분포를 평가하였 다. 또한, 후드 개구면을 균일류 형성에 필요한 구조로 개선하였을 경우의 유동 특성을 예측하여 개선 효과를 검증하 였다. 기존의 흄후드의 제어유속을 평가한 결과, 제곱평균(RMS)값과 비교했을 때 최대 23~30%의 편차가 있음을 확 인하였다. 또한, 후드의 상부 유속이 하부 유속보다 58~68% 정도 빠른 것으로 나타나 후드 개구면에서의 유속 불균 형이 매우 심한 것으로 평가되었다. 이에 후드 개구면에서의 균일한 배기흐름을 유지하기 위해 후드를 개선(안쪽벽에 배플 설치 및 슬롯 타입의 개구부 설계)한 결과, RMS값 대비 최대 7%의 편차를 보였으며 구간별 유속 편차는 최대 12% 정도로 예측되어 기존 구조에 비해 제어유속의 불균형이 많이 해소되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. This study used Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD) to assess the properties of the air current inflow and the flow velocity distribution in the fume hood. In order to verify the effect of improvement, it was also predicted the characteristics of the flow pattern in case the hood face is structurally improved. The assessment of the capture velocity with the existing fume hood confirmed maximum 23 to 30% difference as compared to the root mean square (RMS). And the hood face showed great difference in flow velocity, with the flow velocity in the upper part is 58 to 68% faster than that in the lower part of the hood. So, as a result of the improvement of the hood designed to maintain a steady exhaust at the hood face (that is, installing a baffle on the inner wall and designing the slot type face), a difference of maximum 7% as compared to RMS appeared while maximum 12% differentiation in flow velocity through sections was predicted, showing mitigation of much of the difference in control velocity as compared to the previous structure.
Pretreatment Effect on CO Oxidation over Highly Ordered Mesoporous Silver Catalyst

Highly ordered mesoporous silver material was successfully synthesized from a mesoporous silica template (KIT-6) with 3-D channel structure using the nano-replication method. The effects of $H_2$ or $O_2$ pretreatments on the catalytic performance of the mesoporous silver were investigated using a temperature programmed CO oxidation technique in a fixed bed reactor. The mesoporous silver material that was pretreated with $H_2$ exhibited an excellent catalytic activity compared to the as-prepared and $O_2$-pretreated catalysts. Moreover, this present mesoporous silver material showed good catalytic stability. For the CO oxidation, the apparent activation energy of the $H_2$-pretreated mesoporous silver catalyst was $61{\pm}0.5\;kJ\;mol^{-1}$, which was also much lower than the as-prepared ($132{\pm}1.5\;kJ\;mol^{-1}$) and $O_2$-pretreated ($124{\pm}1.4\;kJ\;mol^{-1}$) catalysts.

Purpose: Even though the entire resection is only option for primary cure in case of the localized colorectal cancer. However, recurrence rate is relatively high(30%). The evaluation for chromosome 18 long arm status in the patients who have stage II colon cancer gives a important information about a prognosis and evaluation of the patients. This study was undertaken to evaluate the possible prognostic role of the expression of deleted in colorectal cancer (DCC) protein in the patients with stage II colon cancer. Materials and Methods: The present study analysed 22 patients with stage II &II (AJC TNM 1992 classification) colorectal adenocarcinoma who were admitted to the Chosun University Hospital between March 1989 and February 1992. Clinicopathologic parameters including age, sex, TNM stage, adjuvant chemotherapy, location and tumor differentiation and DCC status were examined. Results: The survival rate of the patients expressing DCC was found to be significantly higher in the patients in whom the DCC was expressed, while 4 (18%) in the other who had not the expression of DCC(P= 0.044). Although the patients with the stage II of the TNM stage have a better prognosis than those with stage III (P=0.046), no significant difference was found between these two groups in terms of the eastern cooperative oncology group (ECOG) performance status of patients (P= 0.525). Conclusion: when the expression of DCC protein is negative in patients with colon cancer staged II need a more aggressive treatments like in the patients with staged III colon cancer and thereafter the more exact operative method is required identifying the expression of DCC protein using the frozen biopsy during operation and thereafter the consideration for the chemotherapy and radiation therapy will be possible.

원소분석 결과 평균값은 “화합물 및 화학제품 제조업”의 경우 C 33.06wt%, H 4.34wt%, O 24.81wt%, N 5.18wt%, S 0.72wt%로 나타났으며, “코크스, 석유 정제품 및 핵연료 제조업“의 경우 C 36.58wt%, H 4.74wt%, O 26.79wt%, N 5.09wt%, S 0.49wt%로 나타났다. 열중량분석 결과, B사에서 배출되는 슬러지는 700℃ 이상에서 그리고 F와 N 사에서 배출되는 슬러지는 600℃ 정도의 온도에서도 연소가 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 연소테스트 결과, 산화반응과 동시에 열분해 반응이 일어나 고농도의 일산화탄소가 배출된다.
용해공정의 캐노피 후드 성능 개선에 관한 수치 해석적 연구

본 연구에서는 현장조사를 통해 주물 제조 사업장의 일부 용해공정에 적용되고 있는 캐노피 후드(canopy hood)의 흡인 성능을 검토하였다. 또한, CFD model을 이용하여 유해대기오염물질 포집 능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 방 안들을 대한 유동장 및 압력장을 비교 및 평가하였다. Case-2(플랜지 부착+이중 후드)의 경우 포집 성능 측면에서는 개선이 가능하지만 후드 정압이 기존 구조보다 약 70% 이상 증가할 것으로 예측되어 현장 적용성이 좋지 않을 것으 로 나타났다. 흡인효율을 개선하기 위해서는 case-3(플랜지 부착+이중 콘 부착)의 형상이 가장 적합할 것으로 판단된 다. 이는 개구부 중앙에 이중 콘(cone)이 설치되어 후드 가장자리로 유량을 집중시킬 수 있으며, 또한 후드 중앙으로 상승되는 흄(hume)은 콘의 기울기에 의해 정압 상승의 요인 없이 제어할 수 있기 때문이다. This study reviewed the capturing performance of a canopy hood used in some melting processes of a casting manufacturing factory through a site survey. In addition, this study compared and evaluated the flow field and pressure field for the plans to enhance the hazardous air pollutants collection capacity by using CFD model. The case-2(flange attached + double hood) can be improved in terms of collection performance, but is expected to increase in hood static pressure by about 70% more than the existing structure, so it was shown that its site applicability is not good. It is judged that the shape of case-3(flange attached + double cone attached) is most suitable to improve the suction efficiency. This is because a double cone is installed at the center of the opening to concentrate the flow rate on the edge of the hood and control the hume rising to the center of the hood without a static pressure rise via the slope of the cone.
