The logistics industries of Korea and Japan have very similar growth patterns. In this study, we aimed to determine how market structures are changing in Korea and Japan for the past 10 years. We divided logistics market structures into logistics subsidiaries (2PL) and 3PL companies, and we analyzed whether performances such as turnover, profit, or their growth rate between the 2PL and 3PL markets are significantly different. Korea’s market concentration ratio for the logistics industry indicates the rapid turn to a competitive, low-concentration market structure, whereas the comparable market structure in Japan has already entered a perfectly competitive market. The results show that rapid expansion in a subsidiary logistics market depends on a captive market that does not affect 3PL market size and profitability. In fact, that rapid expansion directly reduces the growth in the Korean or Japanese 3PL markets.
Voice Control of a Robotic Forceps Using Hierarchical Instructions
Kiyotaka Izumi,Shinichi Ishii,Keigo Watanabe 제어로봇시스템학회 2008 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2008 No.10
A robotic forceps is controlled by voice instructions in the framework of a fuzzy coach-player system. In the proposed system, we can deal with some fuzziness included in voice instructions and the system is composed of two instruction levels in order to increase the efficiency of voice instructions. One is a local instruction level that uses any action commands directly. The other is a global instruction level that uses a task command. Such a fuzzy coach-player system is applied for the manipulation of a robotic forceps and the effectiveness of the present system is verified through some actual experiments.
Photoadaptation of Green Sulfur Photosynthetic Bacteria Chlorobium phaeobacteroides
Hirabayashi, Hiroki,Ohmura, Satoshi,Ishii, Takasada,Takaichi, Shinichi,Uehara, Kaku Korean Society of Photoscience 2002 Journal of Photosciences Vol.9 No.2
Photoadaptation of Chlorobium (Cb.) phaeobacteroides was investigated under dim and strong light intensity. Absorption spectra of these whole cellIs were different each other. The Soret band intensity and the Qy bandwidth of BChl e in c디l grown under dim light intensity were smaller and more broadened than those under strong light intensity. From HPLC analysis of the pigments, total carotenoid (Car) / bacterochorolphyll (BChl) e ratio of cell increased wi1h increase of light intensities. But camposition of BChl e hamologs almost unchanged. Cb. phaeobacteroides contains 11 kinds of Car including isorenieratene and beta-isorenieratene as major Car. The campositions of Car were different for cells grown under dim and strong light intensities. In conclusion, Cb. phaeobacteroides changes total amount and canposition of Car to adapt various light intensities, while homolog canposition of BChle unchange.
