MANET Parameter Analysis and its Impact on Next Generation Network

A mobile ad-hoc network is a type of network in which all the nodes can communicate each other without any fixed infrastructure. This unique property of MANET is useful in conditions where exchange of information is the prime objective under any circumstances. In this type of network all communicating nodes cooperate with each other in the distributed manner and offer dual responsibility, one as a host and the other as router. This quality of MANET paves the way for numerous new and exciting applications over Next Generation MANET. These applications may include, such as group communication, data telemetry, automotive applications, music and video streaming, real time mobile applications. Two main evolutions of multihop next generation ad hoc networks are projected, namely WMN and Opportunistic Networks. In this paper an honest attempt is made to enumerate and briefly discuss issues and challenges of Next Generation Network, parameters analysis and its impact.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), a major strategic tool in sustainable development, environment protection, and ethical alignment has gained considerable amount of attention worldwide. Developing countries, however, are still at the early stage in using CSR and especially for developing Muslim countries, whose CSR concept sometimes are confused with philanthropic responsibilities. This study therefore focuses specifically on a representative developing Muslim country, Pakistan to examine CSR. It piques our research interests that there are differences between multinational corporations (MNCs) and domestic companies in the CSR investment in Pakistan, and we compare how these differences in CSR influencing financial performance, net profits, and assets by using the combined methodologies of qualitative content analysis and quantitative regression analysis to investigate whether the differences are statistically significant drawing on the corporate social model. Analyzing 111 domestic companies and MNCs in Pakistan during 2020, we establish statistically significant differences in financial performance, net profits, and assets. Specifically, we find that domestic companies exhibit lower levels of CSR investment compared to MNCs, and they under-perform in terms of financial performance, net profits, and assets. This study contributes to the literature on CSR and the corporate social model, enhancing understanding of CSR development in numerous developing Muslim countries.

Background Traditional systems of medicine use herbal drugs for hepatoprotection. Thus, the study was designed to evaluate the hepatoprotective and antioxidant effects of Spondias pinnata bark extracts against ethanol-induced liver injury in Wistar rats. Methods Group I animals were treated with 1 mL/kg 0.3% carboxymethyl cellulose and Group II with 12 mL/kg 50% ethanol for 8 consecutive days. Groups III–VII animals were first treated with 400 mg/kg petroleum ether extract, chloroform extract, acetone extract (AE), ethanol extract (EE), and 100 mg/kg silymarin, and then 12 mL/kg 50% ethanol orally after 2 hours pretreatment each day for 8 consecutive days. Six hours after the last dose, blood was withdrawn. The hepatoprotective activity was assessed by several biochemical and antioxidant parameters. It was accomplished by the histopathology and DNA fragmentation study of liver tissues. Results Treatment with S. pinnata extracts, mainly AE and EE significantly (p < 0.05–0.01) and dose-dependently prevented the ethanol-induced increase in serum levels of aspartate aminotransferase, alanine aminotransferase, alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, cholesterol, bilirubin, and malondialdehyde, and decrease in reduced glutathione, catalase, superoxide dismutase, and albumin. They also attenuated the ethanol-induced DNA damage. Hepatoprotective potential of the extract was less than that of standard drug silymarin. Results of the study were well supported by the histopathological observations. Conclusion S. pinnata extracts AE and EE possess a potent hepatoprotective effect against ethanol-induced liver injury in Wistar rats, and protect them from hepatotoxicity by prevention of ethanol-induced oxidative stress, DNA-damage and altered biochemical markers.
THE ELEVENTH AND TWELFTH DATA RELEASES OF THE SLOAN DIGITAL SKY SURVEY: FINAL DATA FROM SDSS-III

<P>The third generation of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS-III) took data from 2008 to 2014 using the original SDSS wide-field imager, the original and an upgraded multi-object fiber-fed optical spectrograph, a new near-infrared high-resolution spectrograph, and a novel optical interferometer. All of the data from SDSS-III are now made public. In particular, this paper describes Data Release 11 (DR11) including all data acquired through 2013 July, and Data Release 12 (DR12) adding data acquired through 2014 July (including all data included in previous data releases), marking the end of SDSS-III observing. Relative to our previous public release (DR10), DR12 adds one million new spectra of galaxies and quasars from the Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) over an additional 3000 deg(2) of sky, more than triples the number of H-band spectra of stars as part of the Apache Point Observatory (APO) Galactic Evolution Experiment (APOGEE), and includes repeated accurate radial velocity measurements of 5500 stars from the Multi-object APO Radial Velocity Exoplanet Large-area Survey (MARVELS). The APOGEE outputs now include the measured abundances of 15 different elements for each star. In total, SDSS-III added 5200 deg(2) of ugriz imaging; 155,520 spectra of 138,099 stars as part of the Sloan Exploration of Galactic Understanding and Evolution 2 (SEGUE-2) survey; 2,497,484 BOSS spectra of 1,372,737 galaxies, 294,512 quasars, and 247,216 stars over 9376 deg(2); 618,080 APOGEE spectra of 156,593 stars; and 197,040 MARVELS spectra of 5513 stars. Since its first light in 1998, SDSS has imaged over 1/3 of the Celestial sphere in five bands and obtained over five million astronomical spectra.</P>
Some Generating Relations of Extended Mittag-Leffler Functions

Motivated by the results on generating functions investigated by H. Exton and many other authors, we derive certain (presumably) new generating functions for generalized Mittag-Leffler-type functions. Specifically, we introduce a new class of generating relations (which are partly bilateral and partly unilateral) involving the generalized Mittag-Leffler function. Also we present some special cases of our main result.
Protective effect of Kohl-Chikni Dawa against galactose-induced cataract in rats

The efficacy of Kohl-Chikni Dawa (KCD), a compound ophthalmic formulation of Unani medicine, to control cataract development was explored in rats fed 25% galactose with the diet for 6 months. When one drop of 3% KCD solution was applied (once and twice daily) in both eyes for 6 months in galactose-fed rats, a significant reduction of lens opacification was noticed. The morphological changes of the lenses were observed every month by slit-lamp biomicroscope. These results suggest that the local application of 3% KCD solution possesses anticataract effect in galactose-fed rats.
SOME IDENTITIES ASSOCIATED WITH 2-VARIABLE TRUNCATED EXPONENTIAL BASED SHEFFER POLYNOMIAL SEQUENCES

Since Sheffer introduced the so-called Sheffer polynomials in 1939, the polynomials have been extensively investigated, applied and classified. In this paper, by using matrix algebra, specifically, some properties of Pascal and Wronskian matrices, we aim to present certain interesting identities involving the 2-variable truncated exponential based Sheffer polynomial sequences. Also, we use the main results to give some interesting identities involving so-called 2-variable truncated exponential based Miller-Lee type polynomials. Further, we remark that a number of different identities involving the above polynomial sequences can be derived by applying the method here to other combined generating functions.

The main object of the present research paper is to establish two (potentially) useful Euler type integrals involving multiindex Mittag-Leffler functions, which are expressed in terms of Wright hypergeometric functions. Some deductions of the main results are also indicated.

This article has a motive to derive new classes of differential equations and associated integral equations for some hybrid families of truncated exponential-based Appell polynomials. We derive the recurrence relation, differential equation, integrodifferential equation, and integral equation of the truncated exponential based Appell polynomials by using the factorization method. Finally, we also give some illustrative examples.
