IMPROVEMENT OF FUEL CELL DURABILITY PERFORMANCE BY AVOIDING HIGH VOLTAGE

In order to increase the durability of fuel cell stack, various operating technologies such as voltage cut-off and lean air operation was verified. With an application of upper voltage cut-off, cell performance loss was effectively diminished, which suggests that a formation of surface oxide layer on Pt was suppressed resulting in less irreversible catalyst deterioration such as Pt dissolution. In addition, it was found that voltage sweeping to lower reductive potential with a lean air supply was beneficial in preventing a power loss. With a simulated vehicle driving mode, it was confirmed that performance durability was 3 times improved with an application of both voltage cut-off and lean air supply which might be ascribed to the maintaining the electrochemical acive area of Pt catalyst. The suggested operating conditions based on Pt degradation mechanism will contribute the durability enhancement of fuel cell stack for FCEVs.
도시하천의 흰빰검둥오리(Anas poecilorhyncha) 출현특성비교

본 연구는 도시를 건전하고 활력있는 생태환경 조성에 중요한 역할을 하는 도시하천에 서식하는 야생물새들의 서식 위해요소에 대한 평가와 위해요소 해결방안을 제시하기위한 기초연구로 수행하였다. 자연형하천으로 조성된 금강수계 반석천에 서식하는 야생 흰빰검둥오리에 대한 모니터링을 실시하고 월별, 하천 구간별 출현 특성을 분석하였고 이준우 등(2003)이 반석천 상위하천인 유성천이 합류되는 갑천의 만년교-대덕교 3.4㎞구간에서 실시했던 모니터링 결과와 월별 단위면적당 밀도(density) 등을 구하여 비교·고찰하였다. 갑천의 만년교-대덕교 구간에서 2002년 1월부터 8월까지 출현한 물새류는 17종 1,819마리로 2018년 반석천에서 1월부터 8월까지 출현한 물새류는 5종 366마리로 절대값은 상당한 차이를 보이고 있다. 갑천의 만년교-대덕교 구간은 구간거리가 3.4㎞이고 저수로폭은 100m로 수면적은 340,000㎡이고, 반석천 조사구간은 구간거리가 3.224㎞, 저수로폭은 6m로 수면적은 19,344㎡이다. 흰빰검둥오리의 전체 단위면적당 밀도는 갑천 만년교-대덕교 구간이 0.0345마리/100㎡이고 반석천 조사구간이 0.165마리/100㎡로 반석천 조사구간이 본류구간인 갑천 만년교-대덕교 구간보다 4.9배 높은 밀도를 보였다.
운전자 이질감 최소화를 위한 편제동이 고려된 차량 충돌 회피 시스템

Recently, to prevent or reduce the damage of vehicle accident, the importance of active or passive safety systems of the vehicle is highlighted and related studies are being accelerated. A type of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System), AEBS (Autonomous Emergency Braking System) is developed for vehicle collision avoidance or mitigation and many vehicles developed recently are equipped with this system. However, by characteristic of longitudinal collision avoidance system, the longer braking distance is needed when the vehicle runs at high speed and this limitation can derive severe accidents. To solve this limitation, researches of lateral collision avoidance system are studied. The aim of this paper is to develop lateral collision avoidance system minimizing unintended steering. In order to consider avoiding collision and minimizing unintended steering, MPC (Model Predictive Control) is proposed for controller. To improve control performance of MPC, disturbance observer that minimizes model error is also designed, and estimated disturbance applies to MPC. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been evaluated by commercial program: Carsim and Simulink/Matlab.
