光州地方의 酸性降雨에 관한 硏究

In this report, for Kwangju I shall discuss the relationship between precipitation and the pH. I shall look at the air pollutant and the pH. Data from this study for precipitation and the air pollutant were observed by KMA and YEA. The precipitation and the air pollutant were observed and recorded every hour from 1991 to 1995. Results : Annual mean pH was 5.6. The pH for November and the pH between January and May were 5.6 or less. The rate of acid rainy day in annual mean precipitation days was 48.1%. The occurrence of acid rain was more than 50%. The data shows that half of all rain in a year, was acid rain. The mean pH for March was 5.4 and there were 18 times acid rain occurred among 26 rainy times. This shows that rate of acid rain reaches 69%, it is a serious problem. The acidity is highest in the spring time and then followed in order by fall, winter and summer. The mean pH of precipitation in spring is 5.5, it means low level of acid rain. Daily variation of the pH doesn't have any special meaning. The pH in the afternoon is generally low and the highest pH level of acid rain was 4, which was observed between 19:00 and 21:00 on the 10th of March, 1991. The pH interannual variation of rain had a tendency to be high in 1992. But in 1995, the amplitude of the pH was large, so we can expect a high pH level of acid rain. As precipitation amount grews, the pH of precipitation tended to be low. Although, there is a little corelation(r=0.106) between frequency of acid rain and amount of rain. The lasting of rain for long periods raised the frequency of acid rain and standardized the pH. As the temperature goes up, consistency of pollutant also went up. But it is more reasonable to assume that consistency was raised by human activity. The temperature effect on the acidity of rain is minimal. NO_2 (r=0.205) is the primary effector on the acidity of rain, and then fellowed in order by SO_2 (r=0.118), TSP (r=0.019). However in fact, TSP has little influence on the acidity of rain.

불소의 농도와 Seed Material이 Crystal Growth에 미치는 영향

The present study was undertaken to investigate the crystal growth onto human enamel mineral and synthetic hydroxyapatite(HA) seeds in media resembling the enamel fluid composition. Effects of fluoride at high concentrations on the precipitation were also examined in a bench-top crystal growth model adopting a miniaturized reaction column. The Ca, P and F concentrations and pH values of the inlet and outlet solutions were determined. The recovered solid samples were weighed to assess the amount of minerals precipitated during the experimental period, and finally viewed under a scanning electron microscope. Remarkable findings were that 1) both biological and synthetic seeds with the same total surface areas yielded similar amounts of crystal growth, 2) the amount of crystal growth was accelerated in a manner depending of fluoride concentrations in the media, 3) SEM observations disclosed that without the addition of fluoride, precipitation of thin, plate-like OCP crystals became prominent, but by increasing the fluoride concentration(beyond 1ppm F), rod-like crystals having a pointed edge were most frequently observed, without and evidence for precipitation of the plate-like crystals. Furthermore, the dimension of rod-like crystals was increased in proportion of fluoride concentrations, 4) there was no difference in the morphological feature of precipitated mineral phase upon seeding between human enamel seed and synthetic HA seed. The overall results support the view that the seeded crystal growth model is of value to gain insight into the mechanism of enamel crystal growth under fluoride regimens.

Abstract - In this paper, we propose a bidirectional mobile Ad Hoc routing protocol based on AODV(ad-hoc on-demand distance victor routing) with QoS(quality of service) support. At presence, wireless mobile communication focuses on how to efficiently support mobility of users more than QoS guarantee. However, in order to satisfy requirement of various applications which have been or will be served, QoS guarantee between end point is a very important issue. The existing AODV routing protocol is implemented to use only BE (Best Effort) service. However, actual wireless mobile environment requires to reduce a waste of communication resources and meet with the real-time change of data paths by setting up routes with QoS support, considering available communication resources at each node in advance. Therefore, in this thesis, we propose an adaptive QoS support method using hello message in order to rapidly meet with the change of available communication resources and to smoothly perform route maintenance. For performance evaluation, we analyzed the average date reception rate. At that time, we used evaluation parameters such as node's mobility -stop time, hello message period, and packet priority, considering the node's mobility and the number of best effort/QoS data flows. As results, we found that with our proposed method the average data reception rate was increased 16.3% for 0 mobility-stop second case and 4.7% for 300 mobility-stop second case.

It is possible to transmit a large amount of sound, video, and data over wired networks based upon the growing Information Superhighway. However, the existing available access networks are composed of much lower speed two-pair networks that can not handle multimedia information. To solve this problem, wireless access techniques yielding mobility and portability must be more efficient than increasing the capacity of wired networks. Also the WLL system is emerging as a highly attractive solution for the local loop network in many countries. It is one of the important means of providing telephone services more cheaply and quickly than through a wireline. Therefore in this paper, we introduce WLL. and the LMCS technology, (and service trends recently new local loop technique) which are now spotlighted in wireless access technology fields.

Necrotizing fasciitis (NF) is a rare, life-threatening infection resulting in necrosis of the skin, subcutaneous tissue, and fascia. A very severe and usually fatal fasciitis is caused by a virulent species of streptococcus that is often referred to as the "flesh-eating bacteria". Mortality rates have been noted high. Certain conditions can predispose patients to NF, such as diabetes mellitus, immunosuppressive medications, and AIDS. Patients usually complain of excessive pain as well as constitutional symptoms. Because of this rapid progression, it is important to diagnose and treat NF quickly to decrease mortality. Treatment includes broad-spectrum antibiotic coverage, nutritional supplements, hemodynamic support, wound care, and prompt surgical debridement. We report a case of a 51-year-old man who had presented with right hip pain. Previously, he had been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus and alcoholic liver cirrhosis.

MANET 라우팅 프로토콜 QoS 지원서비스의 성능평가에 관한 연구

In this paper, we evaluated two main QoS supporting routing protocol on wireless ad hoc network. At presence, wireless mobile communication focuses on how to efficiently support mobility of users more than QoS guarantee. However, in order to satisfy requirement of various applications which have been or will be served, QoS support service between source and destination becoming a very important issue. Of all routing protocols, DSR and AODV are very important routing protocol in MANET. So we simulated DSR and AODV QoS Routing Protocol Through simulation evaluation tool NS(Network Simulation) based on various environments.

Gullian Barre Syndrome 患者 1例에 대한 症例報告

Gullian Barre Syndrome is an acute symmetric polyradiculoneuropathy that typically presents as a progressive flaccid paralysis. The pathology is believed to be caused by both cellular and humoral immune processes The possibility of death is 3-5% and About 20% of patients require mechanical ventilaton. Recently We have experienced a patient who had suspected Gullian Barre Syndrome for 60days, his condition weakness and pain was impoved through the herb and acupucture Therefore I reported it for the treatment.
