The structure must be periodically checked and measures must be taken to prevent deterioration in building construction. From this point of view, a nondestructive test is essential to estimate whether the construction of buildings is proper, and whether the dimension of depositing concrete is consistent and without damage. This study estimated the thickness of the concrete component of construction framework using the ultrasonic velocity method and the impact echo method, in order to investigate reliability of the estimation of the thickness of normal strength concrete and high strength concrete, leading to the following conclusions. In the estimation of the thickness of the concrete structures, specimens of normal strength of 24MPa and specimens of high strength of 40MPa demonstrated an average error rate of 5.1% and 2.2%, respectively. The impact-echo method, one of the non-destructive tests, is verified as an efficient diagnostic technique. With this information, we will determine specific standards for the maintenance of structures, and the re-creation of lost building blueprints.

Among fiber-reinforced composites, steel fiber has been widely-used for concrete infrastructure such as silos, tunnels, specifically aiming at reducing the weight of concrete and enhancing its strength by overcoming the brittleness. However, there is still little known about appropriate quality management and applicability assessment for steel fiber composites. This study fills this knowledge gap by testing the possibility of maintenance through steel fiber concrete thickness estimation and assessing the applicability of the quality management instrument. To this end, this study utilizes two different stress wave-driven non-destructive test methods: ultrasonic pulse velocity and impact-echo methods. The ultrasonic pulse velocity method was employed to estimate the compressive strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete, while the impact-echo method was applied to estimate the thickness of various steel fiber reinforced concrete members. As a quality management factor of concrete, correlations between steel fiber mixing ratios and compressive strengths were experimentally explored and validated by error ratios for twenty-four specimens. The reliability was relatively high overall. The average error rate of all the specimens with steel fiber mixing ratios of 0, 0.75 and 1% was 3.36%. Accordingly, the results prove the applicability of the non-destructive test methods for building quality management.
Solitary fibrous tumor of the breast

A solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm that was first documented in pleura, but ubiquitous in nature, involving extrapleural sites such as the upper respiratory tract, mediastinum, head and neck. To date, about 21 cases of SFT of the breast have been reported. Herein, we presented a 60-year-old Korean female with a palpable mass in the left breast. Ultrasonography with near-oval shape, and well-circumscribed margins suggested a benign lesion, so complete resection was performed. With immunohistochemical staining, we could obtain a definitive diagnosis. Since some SFTs have unpredictable clinical course, long-term follow-up is needed for all patients.
GPGPU를 이용한 영상 품질 측정 프로그램의 가속화 연구

최근 그래픽 처리 장치(GPU)의 발전과 개발자 친화적인 GPGPU(General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units)기술의 발전으로 인해 그래픽 처리 장치를 활용한 병렬 컴퓨팅의 사용이 확대되고 있다. 이를 통해 과학, 의학, 공학 등많은 분야에 걸쳐 기존 CPU 컴퓨팅 환경보다 더 빠른 처리속도로 결과 값을 얻어 낼 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문은 CPU 기반 컴퓨팅과 GPU 기반 컴퓨팅의 연산처리 속도의 차이의 비교를 위해 기존 CPU 기반으로 구현된 영상 품질 측정 프로그램을 NVIDIA사의 GPGPU기술을 사용할 수 있도록 프로그램을 포팅한다. 포팅한 프로그램을 바탕으로 GPGPU기술을 통한 프로그 램의 가속화에 대하여 연구한다. 가속화된 프로그램은 CPU 기반의 프로그램보다 약 1.83배 정도의 실행 속도를 가진다. 또한 CPU 기반의 프로그램을 GPU 기반으로 수정할 때 생기는 제약과 문제점에 대해서도 기술한다. Recently, parallel computing using GPGPU(General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units) according to the development of the graphics processing unit is expanding. This can be achieved through the processing speeds faster than traditional computing environments across many fields, including science, medicine, engineering, and analysis. However, in using the GPU technology to implement the a parallel program there are many constraints. In this paper, we port a CPU-based program(Video Quality Measurement Program) to use technology. The program ported to GPU-based show about 1.83 times the execution speed than CPU-based program. We study on the acceleration of the GPU-based program. Also we discuss the technical constraints and problems that occur when you modify the CPU to the GPU-based programs.
Current Status of Safety Management of Protestant Religious Facilities

This study aimed to investigate whether protestant religious facilities are maintained appropriately for people and regular inspections are conducted. As a study method, survey and site investigation were conducted. The survey questionnaire aimed to know the perception of users or responsible persons about safety management and current status of safety management systems while the site investigation aimed to inspect structural conditions by a visual inspection such as proper installation of fire protection equipment and whether regular inspection were conducted. It was found, through the inspection of the current safety management status, that the safety management related persons did not know which parts and how much they manage incorrectly, and did not know the follow-up actions in case of accidents. Therefore, it is essentially required to assign a proper person to the facilities for safety management and to have safety consciousness education. Furthermore, although more than 80% of the surveyed subjects responded that they were familiar with the way to use safety management related facilities and overall instructions, the respondent were concerned about the correspondent training for emergent circumstances.
