Pressure Control Organic Vapor Deposition Methods for Fabricating Organic Thin-Film Transistors
Seong Deok Ahn,Seong Youl Kang,오지영,서경수,조경익,구재본 한국전자통신연구원 2012 ETRI Journal Vol.34 No.6
In this letter, we report on the development progress of a pressure control organic vapor deposition (PCOVD)technology used to design and build a large area deposition system. We also investigate the growth characteristics of a pentacene thin film by PCOVD. Using the PCOVD method, the mobility and on/off current ratio of an organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) on a plastic substrate are 0.1 ㎠/Vs and 10^6,respectively. The developed OTFT can be applied to a flexible display on a plastic substrate.

Kwang-Keun Lee,Seong-Ho Ahn,Hyung-Deok Kim,Myoung-Kil Youn 한국유통과학회 2014 Asian Journal of Business Environment (AJBE) Vol.4 No.4
Purpose – The study aims to investigate empirically the effects of the flow of an Internet shopping mall upon consumers' revisit intention and purchase intention. Research design, data, and methodology – The subjects comprised customers of Internet shopping malls. SPSS 19.0 for Windows was used to verify the models and hypotheses. Frequency, factors, reliability, and regression analysis were used. Results – This study classified flow behavior factors of Internet shopping malls into four categories-skills, convenience, design, and mutual reaction-to investigate their influence on flow. Skills and convenience had a greater influence than mutual reaction and design. The flow was most influenced by convenience, followed by skills. Conclusions – First, the subjects comprised those who had made purchases at least once at an Internet shopping mall. Second, the study applied the common flow attributes of past researchers to the Internet shopping mall environment, to gauge customers' e-commerce involvement. Third, skill, convenience, and shopping mall display design affirmatively influenced the computer-mediated environment from the Internet marketing control implications perspective regarding the contents of the marketer’s website.

A quantitative sequencing (QS) protocol that detects the frequencies of sodium channel mutations (M815I, T917I and L920F) responsible for knockdown resistance in permethrin-resistant head lice was tested as a population genotyping method. Genomic DNA fragments of the sodium channel α-subunit gene that encompass the three mutation sites were PCR-amplified from individual head lice with either resistant or susceptible genotypes, and combined together in various ratios to generate standard DNA template mixtures for QS. Following sequencing, the signal ratios between resistant and susceptible nucleotides were calculated and plotted against the corresponding resistance allele frequencies. Quadratic regression coefficients of the plots were close to 1, demonstrating that QS is highly reliable for the prediction of resistance allele frequencies. Prediction of resistance allele frequencies by QS in several globally collected lice samples including 12 Korean lice populations suggested that permethrin resistance varied substantially amongst different geographical regions. Three local populations of Korean lice were determined to have 9.8-36.7% resistance allele frequencies, indicating that an urgent resistance management is needed. QS should serve as a preliminary resistance monitoring tool for proper management strategies by allowing early resistance detection.

The localized necking under non-proportional strain paths was investigated using M-K theory and finite element analyses. The strain paths were calculated from finite element simulations and used for input data in the prediction of necking with M-K model and Yld2000-2d yield function. For the verification, square cup drawing tests with a ferritic stainless steel sheet were carried out numerically and experimentally. The predicted results showed good agreement with experiments.

Backgrounds : The purpose of fasting before surgery is to minimize the volume of gastric contents. A short fast after solid food increases gastric volume, but a small drink of clear fluid 2 to 3 hours preoperatively decreases gastric volume. This investigation examined the effects of a small drink of clear fruit juice 2 to 3 hours prior to anesthesia on gastric volume, gastric pH, thirst and hunger. Methods: Two hundred eighty children whose ages were five to ten years, scheduled for elective surgery were randomly assigned to one of 7 groups. Group 1 continued to fast but in the other 6 groups the children drank 2 ml/kg, 3 ml/kg, or 4 ml/kg of clear fruit juice(orange or grape) 2 to 3 hours preoperatively. The degree of thirsty and hunger was checked. The volume of gastric contents was measured by syringe and the pH by pH meter. Results : The children who drank fruit juice preoperatively had decreased gastric volume. The gastric pH was not significantly different with that of the control group. The degree of thirst and hunger was not significantly different with that of the control group. Conclusions : We conclude that a small drink of fruit juice 2 to 3 hours preoperatively is more preferable than 8 hours fasting. (Korean J Anesthesiol 1998; 34: 725∼729)

The Effects of NOnspecific Cation Blocker Gadolinium on Hypoxic Pulmonary Vasoconstriction in the Isolated Rabbit Lung Seong Deok Kim, M>D., Chong Sung Kim, M.D., Hee Soo Kim, M.D., Won Sik Ahn, M.D. Ah Young Oh, M.D., and Il Young Cheong, M.D.?? Department of Anesthesiology, Colege of Medicine, Seoul National University and ??Kangwon University, Korea Background: Hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction (HPV) is unique to pulmonary circulation. Recent hypotheses have emerged indicating that O_2 levels per se can regulate ion channel activity. The modulation of both cation channels differs according to the conduit or resistance pulmonary vessel type. However, it is not yet studied that the cation channel blocker has the same effect in an animal experimental model, which can exclude several factors that may influence on HPV. The purpose of the present study was, therefore, to determine the effect of nonspecific cation blocker, Gadolinium, on HPV in a rabbit model of isolated lung perfusion. Methods: In adult white rabbits (n = 6), lungs were isolated and perfused with the constant pulmonary perfusate flow. Acid-base status and electrolytes of perfusate also constantly maintained. Thirty minutes after, baseline hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction (HPV) was measured as the difference of pulmonary artery pressure between a period of 21% normoxic gas inhalation and that of 3% hypoxic gas inhalation. After another thirty minutes, Gadolinium 50 ㎍ were mixed to the perfusate, and then HPV were measured three times. After then Gadolinium 100, 200, 400 ㎍ were mixed to the perfusate and HPV were measured. Results: Gadolinium decreased the HPV response according to the dose. The ED_50 of the response was 143 ㎍/100 ml. Conclusions: The regulation of HPV is based on the cation channel in the isolated rabbit lung. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2001; 41: 222~228)

The validation study for two STR loci on X-chromosome, DXS7132 and GATA31D10, was done including allelic distribution and frequency of each allele to use these results for individual identification and paternity testing. For 496 unrelated Koreans, above two STR loci were amplified simultaneously using duplex PCR amplification method. The amplified products were analyzed by polyarylamide gel electrophoresis followed by silver staining. In male DXS7132 locus revealed 7 different alleles ranging from 276bp to 300bp. The largest allele was consisted of 14 repetition of [TCTA] unit and took 0.3417. The allele 15 followed next as 0.3165 and allele 13 as 0.1726. In female general distribution was same except one allele, allele 18 was found additionally. The heterozygosity was 0.7706 and 23 different genotypes were found. Polymorphism information content(PIC) was 0.727. Two cases of mutation were noted in DXS7132 locus In both male and femal 7 different alleles were noted in GATA31D10 locus and the alleles ranged from 195bp to 231bp. The allele 15(199bp) took the majority of all as 0.825. The other alleles showed rather relatively low frequency. The heterozygosity was 0.2385 and 11 different genotypes were found. PIC was 0.2521, and no mutation was noted in GATA31D10 locus. Considering these two loci together, 22 different halpotype were noted.

An light-emitting diode (LED)-based light source was used as a monochromatic light source to determine the responses of raw ginseng roots (Panax ginseng Meyer) to specifi c emission spectra with respect to the production of ginsenosides. The ginsenoside content in the ginseng roots changed in response to the LED light treatments at 25 relative to the levels in the control roots that were treated in the dark or at 4 for 7 d. Ginseng roots were exposed to LEDs with four different peak emission wavelengths,380, 450, 470, and 660 nm, in closed compartments. Compared with the control 4-treated roots, roots that were treated with 450 and 470 nm light showed a signifi cantly increased production of ginsenosides (p<0.05), with increases of 64.9% and 74.1%,respectively. The contents of the ginsenosides Rb2, Rc, and Rg1 were signifi cantly higher (p<0.05) in the 450 and 470 nm-treated root samples. The ratio of protopanaxadiol ginsenosides (Rb1, Rb2, Rc, and Rd) to protopanaxatriol ginsenosides (Rg1, Rg2, Re,and Rf) was signifi cantly higher (p<0.05) in the 450 and 470 nm-treated root samples than in the control 4-treated roots. This is the fi rst report that demonstrates the increase and conversion of ginsenosides in raw ginseng roots in response to exposure to LED light.
