        路遙의 『平凡的世界』에 나타난 陝北 민속문화 고찰

        『平凡的世界』는 중국 當代작가 路遙의 생전 마지막 소설작품이자 유일한 장편소설이기도 하다. 『平凡的世界』는 한 때 인기를 얻었던 『人生』의 후속작품으로 작가는 陝北 농촌마을의 一草一木과 거기에서 살아가는 사람들의 생활상을 묘사하는 한편, 그 일상과 함께 어우러져 나타나는 陝北의 민속문화를 자연스럽게 묘사해내기도 하였다. 陝北은 수 천 년의 역사변천 을 거친, 특수한 지리적 환경을 가진 지역으로, 해방전쟁시기 革命區라는 신분까지 더해지면서 민속문화가 형성되었고 변화를 거듭하였다. 이렇게 형성된 陝北의 민속문화는 陝北 사람들의 생활 속 깊이 자리 잡게 되었고 영향을 주기까지 하였다. 路遙도 바로 이러한 陝北의 민속문화 속에서 성장하였고, 陝北에 대한 사랑이 지극한 나머지 고향의 경물을 담은 『平凡的世界』를 창작하게 되었다. 따라서 路遙는 『平凡的世界』에서 陝北의 음식·가무·주거·언어문화를 묘사함으로써 陝北 농촌마을 사람들의 순박한 삶을 노래한 동시에 당시 시대 에 처한 陝北 농촌의 현실을 고발하기도 하였다. Ordinary World is the last and only full-length novel authored by Lu Yao, a Chinese novelist of the time. Ordinary World is a sequel to Life that once gained popularity. In the novel, the author portrayed villagers and their daily routines in a rural village in Shanbei while naturally describing folk culture in Shanbei that harmonizes with daily life. Shanbei is an area that has experienced historical vicissitudes for thousands of years on the back of the unique geological environment. As it became a revolutionary district during the era of a liberation war, folk culture was created to go through a series of changes. The resultant folk culture in Shanbei took a deep root in people’s everyday life in Shanbei while having impact on them. Lu Yao grew up amid this folk culture in Shanbei and became attached to Shanbei so much that it authored Ordinary World that contains the scenery of seasons in his home town. Accordingly, the natural environment and people’s lives portrayed in the novel were all originated from realities of life that the author experienced in person, and the novel accentuated reality to the extent that it reenacted a village in Shanbei. While writing Ordinary World, the author used ‘Shanbei’ as a keyword to describe foods, dance, housing and language culture in Shanbei while portraying people’s humble life in a village in Shanbei as well as the harsh reality of a rural area in Shanbei at that time.

        북한 농업의 지속가능성에 대한 전문가 인식과 남북 농업협력

        본 연구는 북한 농업의 지속가능성을 평가하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 이를 위해 북한 농업의 지속가능성 관련 지표는 OECD의 ‘혁신, 농업 생산성 및 지속가능성 분석틀’과 이를 활용한 선행연구를 바탕으로 선정하였고, 지표별 성과 및 중요도에 관한 인식조사는 국내의 북한 농업 및 경제·사회 분야 전문가를 대상으로 설문하였다. 계층화 분석기법(AHP)을 활용하여 조사 결과를 정량화하고, 이를 중요도-성과 분석(IPA)한 결과, 북한 농업의 지속가능성에 대한 영향요인별 중요도는 ‘실질경제성장률, 정책 추진 역량, 인프라(SOC), 총투자율’ 등 시장 및 제도, 일반경제 여건 부문에 속한 지표에서 높게 나타났다. 그리고 북한의 지속가능성 종합지수는 42.9점으로 추정되었고, 선행연구에서 분석된 남한 종합지수 추정결과(56.1점)보다 낮았다. 본 분석 결과는 향후 국제사회의 원조, 북한의 시장경제체제 요소를 활용하여 한반도 차원의 남북 농업협력 사업을 추진해야 한다는 것을 의미한다. 이에 본 연구는 북한의 환경보전과 생산성 증대 효과를 동시에 이룩할 수 있는 남북농업협력 사업 방안을 제안하고, 장기적인 관점에서 한반도 농업 협력을 도모할 수 있는 방향 역시 제시한다. This study was conducted for the purpose of evaluating the sustainability of North Korean agriculture, and for this purpose, a perception survey was conducted targeting North Korean agricultural and economic and social experts in Korea. The indicators related to North Korean agricultural sustainability were selected based on the OECD's “Innovation, Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability Analysis Framework” and previous study using it. As a result of the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), the importance of each factor influencing the sustainability of North Korean agriculture was high in indicators belonging to market and institution, and general economic conditions such as ‘real economic growth rate, policy implementation capacity, infrastructure (SOC), and total investment rate’. Next, North Korea's sustainability composite index was estimated to be 42.9 points, which was lower than the South Korean composite index estimation result (56.1 points) of previous studies analyzed based on the same index. These analysis results support the need to develop inter-Korean agricultural cooperation from the perspective of the Korean Peninsula, as well as aid from the international community to achieve sustainable agriculture in North Korea in the future. Therefore, this study proposed the direction of inter-Korean agricultural cooperation projects aimed at preserving the environment and increasing productivity of North Korea, and suggested a direction to promote agricultural cooperation on the Korean Peninsula from a long-term perspective.

        Evaluation of Barley and Wheat Germplasm for Resistance to Head Blight and Mycotoxin Production by Fusarium asiaticum and F. graminearum

        Fusarium head blight (FHB) is one of the most serious diseases in barley and wheat, as it is usually accompanied by the production of harmful mycotoxins in the grains. To identify FHB-resistant breeding resources, we evaluated 60 elite germplasm accessions of barley (24) and wheat (36) for FHB and mycotoxin accumulation. Assessments were performed in a greenhouse and five heads per accession were inoculated with both Fusarium asiaticum (Fa73, nivalenol producer) and F. graminearum (Fg39, deoxynivalenol producer) strains. While the accessions varied in disease severity and mycotoxin production, four wheat and one barley showed <20% FHB severity repeatedly by both strains. Mycotoxin levels in these accessions ranged up to 3.9 mg/ kg. FHB severity was generally higher in barley than in wheat, and Fa73 was more aggressive in both crops than Fg39. Fg39 itself, however, was more aggressive toward wheat and produced more mycotoxin in wheat than in barley. FHB severity by Fa73 and Fg39 were moderately correlated in both crops (r = 0.57/0.60 in barley and 0.42/0.58 in wheat). FHB severity and toxin production were also correlated in both crops, with a stronger correlation for Fa73 (r = 0.42/0.82 in barley, 0.70 in wheat) than for Fg39.

        CASE REPORT : A Case of Acute Colonic Diverticulitis as a Complication of Colonoscopy

        Colonoscopy is a good diagnostic tool and facilitates treatment of various colonic diseases. Nevertheless, it can induce many serious complications such as perforation and hemorrhage. Diverticulitis has also been reported as a serious complication of colonoscopy, with an incidence ranging from 0.04% to 0.08%. A 44-year-old male with chronic hepatitis B was presented with general weakness, myalgia, and febrile sensation. After admission for evaluation, pneumonia detected in the left upper and lower lobe and treated. We performed colonoscopy for screening and found multiple colonic diverticula in the right side of the colon. After 48 hours, the patient complained of abdominal pain and febrile sensation. Physical examination revealed tenderness in the right side of the abdomen. Abdomen-pelvis computed tomography showed bowel wall thickening of the cecum and ascending colon and multiple inflamed diverticula at the cecum with pericolic fat infiltration and fluid collection. We diagnosed the patient with acute diverticulitis after colonoscopy. Thereafter, he was treated with bowel rest and broad-spectrum intravenous antibiotics, and recovered. With a review of the relevant literature, we report a case of acute colonic diverticulitis as a complication of colonoscopy. (Intest Res 2013;11:146-148)

        유체마찰에너지를 이용한 풍력열발생조의 성능 분석

        This study was conducted in order to develop wind-water heating system where frictional heat is creased between the rotor and working fluid when they are rotating in the cylindrical heat generator. The wind-water heating system is composed of rotor, stator, working fluid, motor, inverter and heat generation tank. Instead of wind turbine, we have used an electrical motor of 30㎾ to rotate the rotor in this system. Two working fluids and six levels of rotor rpm were tested to quantify heat amounts generated by the system. Generally, as motor rpm goes up heat amount increases that we have expected. At the same rpm, viscous fluid showed up better performance than the water, generating more heat by 10$\^{C}$ difference. The greatest heat amount of 31,500kJ/h was obtained when the system constantly drained out the hot water of at the flow rate of 500ℓ/h. Power consumption rate of the motor was measured by thee phase electric power meter where the largest power consumption rate was 14㎾ when motor rpm was 600 and gained heat was 31,500kJ/h, that indicated total thermal efficiency of the wind power water heating system was 62%.
