Trichoderma strains have several biotic and abiotic functions important for agriculture. However, their efciency varies depending on diferent aspects. In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the agronomic efciency of a Trichoderma asperelloides-based inoculant (FT10), to verify its ability to promote soybean growth (Glycine max). The experiments were conducted at feld level in four distinct edaphoclimatic zones in Brazil. The statistical design used was in randomized blocks, with six treatments and four replications. The treatments applied were: (1) Control; (2) Positive control (Co-Mo Platinum); (3) Standard product (ICB Nutrisolo Trichoderma); (4, 5 and 6) FT10 Inoculant (2, 5 and 10 g ha−1, respectively). The parameters evaluated were: plant stand, number and mass of nodules, shoot and root biomass, mass of one thousand grains and soybean yield. The doses of 5.0 and 10.0 g ha−1 of FT10 contributed to the increase in germination and fnal plant stand, as well as to the increase of shoot and root biomass. In this study, 5.0 g ha−1 of FT10 presented the highest number and mass of nodules in relation to the control. The gains in these parameters resulted in higher yields that were statistically diferent from some control trials, with an increase in grain yield between 8.9 and 15.1% compared to the control. Therefore, Trichoderma asperelloides can be used as a soybean growth promoter, and its application via the sowing furrow of 5.0 g ha−1 of FT10 is the most promising treatment

N/A This work presents a comparative study of the morphology and structure related properties of thermoplastic elastomer blends based on SEBS/PP/Oil and dynamically vulcanized EPDM/PP/Oil. A combination of ruthenium oxide staining and low voltage scanning electron microscopy (LVSEM) was found to be suitable for the study of morphology of these highly oil extended blends. A close analogy was found in the mechanical, thermal and rheological properties of the two systems made in an internal Brabender mixer and co-rotating twin screw extruder. The morphology of the blends, as made by the two techniques, was found to be significantly different. In the case of TPVs, the blends made in the extruder had smaller EPDM domains and better tensile properties. In the case of SEBS, the blends made in the Brabender had more co-continuous phases and showed better tensile properties. Crystallization behavior of the isotactic polypropylene in the blends was found to be influenced by the type of rubber. Blends of SEBS/PP crystallized at a lower temperature than the TPVs. These differences were probably caused by differences in the nucleating ability of the two rubbers.

<P>Phytochemical investigation of an extract of the aerial part of <I>Barleria lupulina</I> resulted in the identification of four new iridoid glycosides (<B>1</B>–<B>4</B>), together with 14 known analogues (<B>5</B>–<B>18</B>). The structures of <B>1</B>–<B>4</B> were determined through 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data analysis, HRMS, and acid hydrolysis. This is the first report of iridoid glycosides with a formate group. The free-radical scavenging activity of compounds <B>9</B>, <B>12</B>, and <B>15</B>–<B>17</B> was assessed using the DPPH assay.
