The neutron capture cross section of (99)^Tc has been measured relative to the (10)^B(n,g) standard cross section by the neutron time-of-flight(TOF) method in the energy range of 0.007 eV to 47keV using a 46-MeV electron linear accelerator(linac) at the Research Reactor Institute, Kyoto University(KURRI). In order to experimentally prove the result obtained, the supplementary cross section measurement has been made from 0.3 eV to 1 keV using the Kyoto University Lead slowing-down Spectrometer(KULS) coupling to the linac. The relative measurement by the TOF method has been normalized to the reference value(20.01 b) at 0.0253 eV and the KULS measurement to that by the TOF method.<br/> The existing experimental data and the evaluated capture cross sections in ENDF/B-VI, JENDL-3.2, and JEF-2.2 have been compared with the current measurements by the linac TOF and the KULS experiments. The energy dependency of the KULS data is close to that of the TOF data which are energy-broadened by the resolution function of the KULS.
Measurement of Neutron Capture Gamma-ray Spectrum of Natural Gold in the keV Energy Region

keV-neutron capture gamma-ray spectrum of $^{197}Au$(natural gold) sample have been measured in neutron energy range from 10 to 90 keV using the 3-MV pelletron accelerator of the Research Laboratory for Nuclear Reactors at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. Pulsed keV neutrons were produced from the $^7Li(p,n)^7Be$ reaction by bombarding on the $^7Li$ target with the 1.5-ns bunched proton beam. The incident neutron spectrum on the Au sample was measured by a $^6Li$-glass scintillation detector and TOF method. Capture gamma-rays from Au sample were measured by anti-Compton NaI(TI) spectrometer. Five average neutron energy regions were selected to obtain the neutron capture spectrum. Several gamma-ray peaks in the spectrum were found in the present experiment. 동경공업대학교의 3MV 펠레트론가속기를 사용하여 10에서 90keV 영역에 대하여 $^{197}Au$의 중성자포획 스펙트럼을 측정하였다. 중성자 펄스빔은 $^7Li(p,n)^7Be$반응을 통하여 발생되었다. 사용되어진 양성자 빔의 폭은 1.5-ns였다. 금 시료에 입사된 중성자의 에너지 스펙트럼은 $^6Li$-glass 섬광검출기의 중성자 비행시간법을 사용하여 측정하였다. 금 시료의 중성자포획에 의해서 발생된 감마선은 anti-Compton NaI(TI) 검출장비를 사용하여 측정되었다. 본 연구에서는 5개의 중성자 에너지 역영을 선택했고, 각각의 에너지영역에서 얻어진 감마선파고스펙트럼을 표시하였다. 본 연구에서 얻어진 스펙트럼은 처음으로 얻어진 결과이며, 중성자 결합에너지부근에 몇 개의 천이 피크가 보인다.
광주지역 기온변화 예측과 CO₂, CO, 상대습도와의 상관성분석

광주지역 기상자료를 이용하여 기온변화를 예측하고, 광주지역의 이산화탄소, 일산화탄소, 상대습도의 상관성연구를 실시하였다. 2008년까지 48년간 광주지역 전체 평균기온은 13.5℃이며, 2108년까지 100년간 2.7℃정도 증가할 것으로 예측되었다. 안면도지역에서 이산화탄소 연평균 농도는 1999년과 2008년에 각각 370.7 ppm과 391.4 ppm으로서 기온의 증가에 영향을 주었다. 1997년부터 2008년까지 광주의 평균기온은 14.2℃로 나주, 담양, 화순, 장성지역 보다 훨씬 높았다. 2108년경 광주의 봄 시작일은 1월 중순 이전, 여름의 시작일은 5월 중순, 가을의 시작일은 10월 중순, 겨울의 시작일은 12월 말경으로 전망되었다. 48년간 평균상대습도는 71.3%로 7월이 가장 높았으며, 해가 지날수록 감소하여 연도와는 반대현상을 보여주었다. CO₂와 CO는 양의 상관도(0.87)를 보여주었고, 조사기간 중 CO₂ 평균 농도는 457 ppm으로 우리나라 배경농도인 안면도의 397.3 ppm(2008)에서 보다 65.6 ppm이나 높았다. CO₂는 CO(0.87)와 상대습도 (0.48) 모두에 대하여 양의 상관성을 보여주었다. The ambient temperature and concentration of carbon dioxide in Gwangju and the reducing method of temperature, air pollutants were investigated using the atmospheric data in Gwangju. Average ambient temperature (Ta_ave) was 13.5℃ during 1961 to 2008. The temperature was predicted as increasing of about 2.7℃ in 2108 after 100 years using the trend line of regression equation. Carbon dioxide was 370.7 and 391.4 ppm at Anmyundo, in 1999 and 2008, respectively, showing proportionally increased as ambient temperature. The temperature at Gwangju, 14.2℃ during 1997 to 2008, was a little higher than at neighboring counties as Naju, Damyang, Hwasoon, and Jangsung. In Gwangju, Spring will start in mid-January of 2108, Summer in mid-May, Autumn in mid-October, and Winter in last-December. The average relative humidity in the air (RHa_ave) was gradually decreased as the temperature inversely increased. The average CO₂ was 457 ppm, which is 65.6 ppm higher than that in Anmyundo, korean background area of CO₂ in 2008. Carbon dioxide showed positive correlation, both of them, with carbon monoxide (0.87) and relative humidity (0.48).

BaTiO3/La0.7Sr0.3MnOs/BaTiO3 multilayer films are fabricated using the chemical solution deposition and spin-coatingmethod. The upper BT film exhibits an average grain size of approximately 42 nm, indicating a uniform and dense microstructure. The single-coated film has an average thickness ranging from 40 to 45 nm. A phase transition temperature of approximately4 °C is observed in all films. The BT/LSMO/BT multilayer film, coated with LSMO four times, demonstrates amaximum dielectric constant of 2008 at 20 °C. The BT/LSMO/BT multilayer film, coated with LSMO two times, shows a ΔTof 0.59 K at 24 °C. The remnant polarization, coercive field, and ΔT/ΔE of the BT/LSMO/BT multilayer film, coated withLSMO four times, are 19.8 μC/cm2, 42 kV/cm, and 4.56 mKcm/kV, respectively.

BACKGROUND Cryopreservation is a crucial method for long-term storage and stable allocation of human pluripotent stem cells (hPSCs), which are increasingly being used in various applications. However, preserving hPSCs in cryogenic conditions is challenging due to reduced recovery rates. METHODS To address this issue, the Arginine-Glycine-Aspartate (RGD) motif was incorporated into a recombinant elastin-like peptide (REP). Human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) were treated with REP containing RGD motif (RGDREP) during suspension and cryopreservation, and the survival rate was analyzed. The underlying mechanisms were also investigated. RESULTS The addition of RGD-REP to the cryopreservation solution improved cell survival and pluripotency marker expression. The improvement was confirmed to be due to the activation of the FAK-AKT cascade by RGD-REP binding to hESC surface interin protein, and consequent inhibition of FoxO3a. The inactivation of FoxO3a reduced the expression of apoptosis-related genes, such as BIM, leading to increased survival of PSCs in a suspension state. CONCLUSION RGD-REP, as a ligand for integrin protein, improves the survival and maintenance of hPSCs during cryopreservation by activating survival signals via the RGD motif. These results have potential implications for improving the efficiency of stem cell usage in both research and therapeutic applications.
위식도역류질환에서 1주 Esomeprazole 치료의 진단적 의의

목적: 위식도역류질환의 진단은 증상, 내시경 검사, 24시간 식도 산도 검사 등을 통하여 이루어지고 있다. 내시경 검사와 24시간 식도 산도 검사가 가장 중요한 검사로 인정되고 있으나, 민감도가 낮은 단점이 있다. 반면, 고용량의 PPI를 투여하는 PPI test는 민감도와 특이도가 80% 내외라고 보고되고 있다. 증상만을 통한 진단과 치료가 우리 나라에서는 보험에서 충분히 인정되지 않고 있으며, 따라서 내시경 검사와 24시간 식도 산도 검사 등을 시행해야 하는 경우들이 많다. 따라서, 전형적인 위식도역류질환 증상을 호소하는 환자에서 esomeprazole을 1 주일간 투여하여 위식도역류질환 진단에 대한 민감도를 구하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 일주일에 2회 이상의 전형적인 역류증상을 호소하는 환자를 순차적으로 등록하여 esomeprazole 40 mg을 1주일간 투여한 후 증상의 횟수와 심한 정도를 분석하여 PPI test의 민감도를 분석하였다. 또한, 이들 중 내시경 검사나 24시간 식도 산도 검사상 pH 4 이하의 분획이 4% 이상인 역류질환(GERD)과 모든 검사상 정상인 비역류질환(non-GERD)을 구분하여 두 군 사이의 양성율을 구하였다. 결과: 국내 11개 병원에서 103명의 환자가 연구에 참여하였으며, 100명의 환자가 연구를 종료하였다. 이들의 평균연령은 48세였으며, 남자가 60%였다. 총 100명의 대상환자 중 79%에서 1주일간의 esomeprazole 40 mg 투여 후 증상이 호전되어 PPI test 양성소견을 보였으며, GERD 군에서는 84.3% (70/83), non-GERD 군에서는 52.9% (9/17)의 양성율을 보여주었다. 결론: Esomeprazole 40 mg을 사용한 1주 PPI test는 전형적인 역류증상을 호소하는 환자의 79%에서 증상의 개선을 보였으며, 특히 객관적 지표가 양성인 GERD 환자에서의 양성율이 높아 진단적 가치가 있는 것으로 판단된다. Background/Aims: Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can be diagnosed by symptoms, endoscopic findings, and pH monitoring. Endoscopic findings and pH monitoring have high specificity and low sensitivity. Since medical fees for the symptom-based treatment are not fully covered by insurance in Korea, endoscopy and pH monitoring are mainly being performed to prove GERD. We aimed to investigate the sensitivity of one-week PPI test in diagnosing GERD in patients with typical reflux symptoms. Patients/Methods: Patients complaining of typical symptom over twice/week were enrolled and esomeprazole (40 mg) was prescribed for one week. Frequency and severity of symptoms were analyzed and sensitivity of PPI test was calculated. GERD group was defined as having erosive esophagitis or a positive pH test. Positive rates of PPI test were calculated in GERD and non-GERD groups. Results: A total of 103 patients from 11 hospitals were enrolled, and 100 of them completed until the end of the study. Seventy-nine patients reached symptomatic improvement after one-week (positive PPI test), and positive rates were 84.3% (70/83) in GERD group and 52.9% (9/17) in non-GERD, respectively (p<0.05). Conclusions: The sensitivity of PPI test in diagnosing GERD in symptomatic patients was 84.3%, and this test is considered to have diagnostic value for GERD.
