      • 일반화된 세선화 template의 중간층 노드의 축소에 관한 연구

        다층 퍼셉트론은 우수한 일반화 성능과 구현의 용이함 때문에 많은 문제에 사용되고 있다. 다층 퍼셉트론에서 사용되는 중간층 노드의 수는 적용되는 문제에 따라 달라지므로 문제의 복잡도에 따라 적정한 수의 중간층 노드를 설정하여야 한다. 그러나 적정한 수의 중간층 노드의 수를 학습을 시작하기 전에 미리 알아내는 것이 어려우므로 충분히 많은 중간층 노드를 사용하여 학습하다가 학습이 종료된 후에 불필요한 노드를 찾아내어 제거하는 방법을 일반적으로 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 이 문제를 다층 퍼셉트론을 이용하여 일반화된 세선화 template를 추출하는 실험에 적용하여 실험하였다. Multi-layer perceptron is used in many problem because its generalization performance is good and implementation is easy. The number of hidden node is different according to complexity of applied problem, so we must set suitable hidden node. But it is difficult that know suitable number of hidden node before learning, therefore, hidden node is reduced after learning. In this paper, node reduction algorithm is simulated on Generalized Template Matching (GTM) problem and optimized GTM is obtained.

        A Regression Program COVAFIT Accounting for Variance-Covariances in Experimental Nuclear Data

        단면적 평가를 위한 회귀분석 프로그램 COVAFIT를 개발하고 이를 실험 결과로서 보고되는 단면적을 평가하는데 적용하였다. 가중 최소제곱 선형 회귀 방법을 적용하였는데 이 때 새로 유도한 고차 다항식을 사용하였다. 점증하는 핵자료의 공분산에 대한 요구에 부응하여, 이 프로그램은 단면적 실험치와 함께 제공되는 분산-공분산 자료를 평가에 반영할 수 있다는 특징을 가지고 있다. MeV 에너지 영역에서 천연 산소 및 $O^{16}$의 중성자 전단면적과 세 가지 $C^{11}$ 생산 반응의 양성자 반응 단면적 평가를 통하여 사용방법론의 적절성과 COVAFIT의 유용성을 확인하였다. A computer program COVAFIT has been developed and applied to the evaluation of experimental cross sections for MeV energy incident particles. The program utilizes weighted least-square linear regression method with high-order polynomials derived in this study. Meeting the growing demand for the treatment of covariances in nuclear data, it deals with the variance and covariance data provided along with experimental cross sections and yields those for the evaluated ones. The evaluated results on two sets of neutron total cross section of oxygen and three sets of proton cross section for $C^{11}$ production reactions confirm the methodology formulated in and the applicability of the program.

      • H - 크로모포 색소의 산화 환원 특성

        The majority of dyes belong to the chromophoric class known as donor-acceptor systems, the essential structural feature of such systems being the presence of one or more electron donating groups conjugated to one or more electron withdrawing groups via an unsaturated bridge. Visible light absorption is then associated with the migration of electron density from the donor region of the molecule to the acceptor region. H-Chromophores is a special type of donor-acceptor system, and can be regarded as made up of two cross-conjugated donor-acceptor systems sharing a common conjugating bridge. Several new H-chromophore systems were synthesised with a view to examining there colour properties, pH sensitivity and redox behaviour. This could be reversed by air-oxidised, suggesting that these chromophores could be useful as colour formers.

        The indigoid-type dyes based on isatin α-chloride were synthesized and the dyes were discussed with relevance to the "H-chromophore" or "cross-conjugated chromophore." The colour-changed properties of the dyes were also investigated by means of visible absorption spectroscope. The novel dyes from isatin α-chloride are of theoretical interest and such dyes can be used as continuous pH indicators in acid/base titrimetric analyses or redox indicator in their specific behaviour.

        수용성 첨가제를 함유하는 에틸렌초산비닐 메트릭스로부터 5-플루오로우라실의 방출

        In our previous work. we have studied the effect of lactose and sodium alginate (SA) on the rate of release of 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) from ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) matrix. These hydrophilic additives promoted the rate of 5-FU release and the increase in rate was larger when SA was used. Both additives showed better ability to increase the rate than 5-FU itself. In this paper, we extended our study to another hydrophilic additive, Carbopol 940 (CP). Compared to SA or lactose, CP increased the rate of 5-FU release markedly. Release rate increased as the loading amount and the pH of the release medium increased. After release experiment, matrix volume increased up to 15 times of that before release experiment. depending on the amount of CP dispersed in the matrix and the pH of the release medium. On the other hand, the volume of the matrix containing lactose or SA decreased, The weight changes of the dry matrix before and after release experiment imply that CP is not released out of the matrix, to the contrary of lactose and SA. Scanning electron microscope study clearly showed that large cavities and pores are generated on the surface and the inside of the matrix. These results indicate that the mechanism by which CP increases the release rate is quite different from that of monomeric additives such as lactose or SA.

        Test-retest reliability of health behavior items in the Community Health Survey in South Korea

        OBJECTIVES: Responses to health-related items on the Community Health Survey (CHS) provide evidence that is used to develop community-based health policy. This study aimed to assess the test-retest reliability of selected health behavioral items on the CHS according to item category, response period, and response scale. METHODS: A sample of 159 men and women 20 to 69 years of age participated in a test-retest with an interval of 14 to 21 days. A total of 28 items relating to smoking, alcohol consumption, diet and weight control, and mental health were selected. We evaluated the test-retest reliability of the items using kappa statistics. RESULTS: Kappa values ranged from 0.44 to 0.93. Items concerning habits had higher kappa values (mean, 0.7; standard error, 0.05) than items concerning awareness or attitudes (p=0.012). The kappa value of items with two- to four-point scales was 0.63, which was higher than the value of 0.59 for items with scales involving five or more points, although this difference was not statistically significant. Different kappa values were observed for each reference period, but no statistically significant differences were noted. CONCLUSIONS: The test-retest reliability of the CHS items that we studied was associated with item category. Further study of the relationship between item category and reliability in domains other than health behaviors is required.

        When adsorption organic molecules within microporous channels it is crucial to ensure that the adsorptive conditions do not extirpate the microporous structure. For this presentation, we will show the procedure about formation of the colorant-pore networks that monitored by visual inspection and chromatographic method to determine the grade of the color saturation. Conclusively, micropores have a selective adsorptive properties for specific organic colorants.

        The Novel Functional Chromophores Based on Squarylium Dyes

        Squarylium or squaraine dyes are derived from 1,2-dihydroxycyclobuten-3,4-dione, otherwise known as squaric acids. They are two principal types: the 1,2-bisdonorsubstituted derivatives, and the 1,3-bisdonor-substituted derivatives. The former are essentially merocyanines and have no distinctive properties, whereas the latter represent a unique type of chromophore, which is neither a merocyanines nor cyanine and has exceptional light absorption characteristics. They also have many functional applications based on their special properties. Thus it was the objective of this research project to synthesize a range of 1,3-squarylium dyes of widely differing structural types, and to investigate their light absorption and fluorescence properties in general, and the color change properties of appropriate examples in particular. Also in this study, the various pH-induced colour change processes were examined.
