We have reported low temperature growth (300 ℃) of ZnO nanorod flower structures by depositing zinc acetate vapor on Ge (100) substrate in the form of a jet using chemical vapor condensation technique. The flowers were comprised of hierarchical arrangement of highly crystalline ZnO nanorods oriented isotropically around a common nucleus. The temperature window for stability of these structures was found to be very narrow and the formation of the flowers was highly depended on the type of the substrates used. The flower morphology changed to a different hemispherical shape when the growth temperature was increased by only 50 ℃ while decreasing the growth temperature of the same degrees resulted in an amorphous deposition of ZnO. The temperature and substrate effect has been explained on the basis of adatom kinetics during growth. X-ray diffraction and TEM study revealed wurtzite ZnO nanorods with lattice constants a and c of 3.2 and 5.19 Å, respectively. The flower structures showed strong room temperature photoluminescence having pure excitonic transition at around 3.298 eV.

Time variant key is one of the great research challenges in the field of cryptography for achieving the perfect security. Automatic variable Key (AVK) has been well researched and established as an important technique to realize time variant key in achieving towards perfect security. In AVK, proposed by Bhunia, the key is made to vary from data to data or session to session that is essentially required for achieving perfect secrecy. The variable key is generated in each time a data is sent and or a session is made. The time variant key (in AVK) is found to reduce the frequency attack as seen in earlier research, while such key was in applied in AES algorithm. In the present experimental research the authors study the application of AVK & Computing & Shifting AVK (CSAVK) in RSA to examine the reducing effect of frequency attack.

In this paper, we have used spectroscopic and electron microscopic analysis to monitor the time evolution of the silver nanoparticles (Ag NP)–human hemoglobin (Hb) corona formation and to characterize the interaction of the Ag NPs with Hb. The time constants for surface plasmon resonance binding and reorganization are found to be 9.51 and 118.48 min, respectively. The drop of surface charge and the increase of the hydrodynamic diameter indicated the corona of Hb on the Ag NP surface. The auto correlation function is found to broaden with the increasing time of the corona formation. Surface zeta potential revealed that positively charged Hb interact electrostatically with negatively charged Ag NP surfaces. The change in α helix and β sheet depends on the corona formation time. The visualization of the Hb corona from HRTEM showed large number of Hb domains aggregate containing essentially Ag NPs and without Ag NPs. Emission study showed the tertiary deformation, energy transfer, nature of interaction and quenching under three different temperatures.

Inventory of differential (both good And defective) items purchased in a lot for two shops under a single management is considered here. In the primary shop, the lot is received and separated, only good units are sold and shortages are allowed which are backlogged from the good units specially purchased at the beginning of the next cycle. The separated defective units are continuously transferred and sold at a reduced price from the secondary shop. This inventory model is formulated and illustrated numerically for three scenarios depending upon the time periods of the shops. Inventory, deterioration, two shops.

The present work is to examine the failure modes and failure loads in pin joints prepared from carbon/epoxy composite laminates with addition of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) as nanofillers. The effect of MWCNT in the carbon/epoxy composites was studied by adding 0.1 to 0.5 wt.% content in the epoxy resin. The maximum tensile strength was observed upto 0.3 wt.%, which is due to the enhanced interfacial bond strength and the efficient stress transfer between the stiff MWCNT and soft polymer matrix through refined polymer/MWCNT interface. The nanocomposite laminates for pin joints were prepared using optimised 0.3 wt.% of MWCNT. The different geometric combinations of width to diameter (W/D) and edge to diameter (E/D) ratios were varied from 2 to 5, respectively. The numerical analysis was performed using Hashin damage criteria along with progressive damage analysis to compare the predicted failure loads with the experimental results.
