        Computer programs called "PCBRG" and "PCPST' were developed to analyze and design the prestressed concrete bridge. PCBRG is a structural analysis program which can determine the member forces, displacements and adaptable area of tendon by iteration method. PCPST is a post-processor for design. It enables design variables verified and the results of analysis (stress, member force and displacement, etc) are presented in the screen. Also the shear force and bending strength by the deformation compatibility method were checked.

        The system air-conditioner, which has one outdoor unit connecting several indoor unit units, can provide more energy saving and better environmental conditions than the conventional air-conditioning systems. But it is difficult to experimentally analyze behaviors of system air-conditioners due to various load conditions and combinations of indoor units. Therefore, it is important to develop a cycle simulation program for predicting the performance of system air-conditioners without complex experiments. The cycle simulation program for system air-conditioners consists of several subroutines for simulating indoor unit, outdoor unit, compressor, and expansion devices, and for estimating the thermodynamic and transport properties of the refrigerants and moist air. It was programmed with Digital Visual Fortran for the main simulation code and Visual Basic for the graphic user interface.

        전이지대 방언의 변이 양상 고찰 -서남방언과 동남방언의 접경지를 중심으로-

        본고에서는 서남방언과 동남방언의 접경지에 분포하는 변이형들을 접촉과 변이의 정도를 따라서 3가지 형태로 분류하여 정리하여 보았다. 1) 단어, 음절 단위의 차용과 변이(병렬, 혼효), 2) 음소 단위의 차용과 변이(자음, 모음 차용), 3) 제3유형으로의 변이 가능성을 살펴볼 것이다. 이 중 제3유형의 변이형들은 방언의 접촉과정에서 나타날 수 있는 ‘아래아(ㆍ) 변화의 방향’, ‘자음의 충돌과 변화’ 등에 대한 새로운 시각을 제시해 줄 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 만약 이러한 결과가 접촉의 과정에서 나타나는 변이의 모습으로 타당성을 가질 수 있다면 다른 방언 접경지의 수많은 변이형들을 재조명해 볼 수 있을 것이며, 다양한 환경에서 나타나는 국어의 음운변화 과정도 예측해 볼 수 있지 않을까 생각한다. I tried to find(prove) that any variation, which takes place when one dialect comes in contact with the other, does not take forms randomly but to any extent with direction and rules in Wi Pyeong-ryang(2005). And so I will confirm again that any variation keeps the head of the base of the former word and permits the tail of the other word depending upon the extent(degree) of each other’s influence through the distribution of ‘galkwi’(‘fork’) word forms. However, the causes of any variation are so varied and difficult to predict that any variation is varied and complex. It is difficult to conclude whether this aspect is the result of the contact of two dialects or the area’s particular aspects of the language of the area in question. This work will investigate(study) a lot of variations of the border lines of Jeallado and Gyongsangdo. These areas show the difference of west-southern dialect and east-southern dialect. The types of variation of these areas are 1) borrowing and variation of a word or a syllable 2) borrowing and variation of a phoneme (consonant, vowel borrowing) 3) the possibility of variation to the third type. I don’t jump to a conclusion that the new types, which are assumed to be the variations of the third type, resulted from the contact of the dialects. I will analyze these types based on the viewpoint of contact dialects. I will consider the possibility that we will predict the process of Korean phonologic changes if these changes are from the process of contact. Though this viewpoint is farfetched, I give(show) you(the readers) the chance of scrutinizing the reality of the variation of the contact areas.

        Flow Cytometric Characterization of Lymphocyte Subpopulations in Mice Infected with Clonorchis sinensis

        최근 세포 표면의 다양한 항원들이 발견되고 T세포 아형에 대한 정량적 측정이 가능하게 됨에 따라 세포성 면역기전의 규명과 이해에 획기적인 진전을 보이고 있다. T세포 아형의 phdenotype은 실험동물의 모델(model)이나 종(species)에 따라서 다양하며 차이가 나는 것으로 알려져 있다. 우리나라의 경우 아직도 80만명 이상의 국민이 간흡충에 감염되어 있을 것으로 추정되는 문제의 기생충이며 감염상태가 만성적일 때에는 간경화나 간암으로 까지 진행되는 흡충으로서 이에 대한 대책이 요구되고 있다. 그동안 간흡충의 면역에 대한 연구는 체액성 면역에 대한 연구는 많은 규명과 진전이 있어 왔으나 세포성 면역에 대한 기전이나 특성에 대한 연구는 미미한 상태이다. 저자들은 이와같은 사정을 감안하여 마우스를 실험 모델로 할 때에 요구되는 참고 자료와 기본 정보를 구하고자 하였다. 즉, 간흡충에 대한 세포 면역학적인 일부의 특성을 알아 보았으며, 특히 비장 림프구 아형에 대한 phenotype의 특성을 알아 본 결과 다음과 같은 성적을 얻었다. 간흡충의 조항원을 면역증강제와 함께 복강 투여한 후 기간 별로 비장 림프구의 아형 특성을 flow cytometry로 측정한 결과, CD2, CD5 그리고 CD8는 투여 초기에는 감소하다가 투여 7주 후에 다시 증가하는 현상을 보였으며, CD4의 경우 투여 초기에는 약간 증가하다가 투여 7주 후에 다시 증가하는 성적을 보였다. A Recent discovery of surface antigens in cells has led to the success of quantitative measurement of T-cell subpopulations, and this has especially opened the way for an epoch-making development in the understanding and classification of cellular immune mechanisms. It is known that phenotypes of T-cell subpopulations exist in many forms according to the variation of species or animal experimental models. In Korea, Clonorchis sinensis still gives rise to public concern as it infects more than eighty million people and threatens the public by causing cirrhosis of the liver, or liver cancer when liver infection becomes prolonged and chronic. Up until now there has been much progress in research and improvement in the classification system of Clonorchis sinensis in the area of humoral immunity, but as for research in the area of cellular immune mechanisms, there is almost none. Knowing all these circumstances, the authors delved for the characterization of lymphocyte subpopulations with mice as Clonorchis sinensis in the area of cellular immunity, and obtained the following results. That is, we injected Clonorchis sinensis antigens mixed in Freund's ajuvant solution intraperitoneally in mice and measured the T-cell subpopulation characterization of spleen lymphocytes with flow cytometry. The results of these measurements showed that CD2, CD5 and CD8 decreased early following injections but then increased again seven weeks after the injections. CD4, however, showed a slight increase shortly after the injection but then a fair increase seven weeks after the injection.

        Flow Cytometric Characterization of Lymphocyte Subpopulations in the Korean Bovine

        소는 인간에게 고기와 우유를 제공하는 영양자원으로서 뿐만아니라 노동력을 제공하는 중요한 가축 동물 중의 하나이다. 또한 사람의 질병을 규명하고 예방 및 치료의 실험적 도구로서도 많이 이용되고 있으나, 대동물이라는 점과 경제적인 이유로서 일반적인 응용과 실험적 적용에 어려움이 되어왔다. 저자들은 이와같은 사정을 감안하여 실험적 기초자료를 얻기 위하여, 한우를 대상으로 말초혈액상과 특히 림프아군의 특성을 알아본 결과 다음과 같이 일부 결과를 얻었다. 즉, 한우 22마리(암컷 12마리, 숫컷 10마리)의 말초혈액을 채혈하여 림프구 표면항원의 특성을 단클론항체와 반응시키고 flow cytometry로 측정한 결과 CD2는 숫컷에서 53%, 암컷에서 54%의 반응을 보였고, CD4는 숫컷에서 30% 암컷에서 32%의 반응을 보였으며, CD8에서는 숫컷에서 13%, 암컷에서 13%의 반응을 보였다. 그리고 말초혈액상은 RBC가 숫컷 7.20×10 ㎣, 암컷 6.36×10 ㎣이었고 WBC는 숫컷 8.09×10³㎣, 암컷 7.09×10³㎣ 이었으며 leukocyte differential counts에서는 lymphocytes, Neutrophils, Eosinophils의 순으로 높은 성적을 보였다. Characterization of immune cell subpopulations in the bovine was performed using a direct immunofluorescence technique adaptable for routine and repeated monitoring. This whole blood procedure is faster and requires less volume than conventional density gradient isolation methods. Low inter-and intra-animal variations were seen in hematology parameters and in CD4, CD8 and CD2 lymphocyte subtypes. CD4 values were 30% of lymphocytes in male and 32% in females. Thriteen percent were CD8 in males and 13% in females. CD4: CD8 ratios were approximately two in both sexes. Fiffty three percent were CD2 in males and 54% in femals. The mean RBC counts of peripheral blood were 7.20×10 /㎣ for male cattle and 6.36×10 /㎣ for females. The mean WBC counts were 8.09×10³/㎣ for males and 7.09×10³/㎣ for females. The percent of lymphocytes(63-65%) was higher than the percent of neutrophils(17-18%), the percent of eosinophils(11-15%), te percent of monocytes(4-5%), and percent of basophiles(1%).

      • Study on Weed Control in Upland Rice Fields

        In order to screen selective herbicides having excellent weed control effect without crop injury in upland rice field, a test on weed control with fifteen kinds of chemicals including MON.0385 was carried out according to their time and rates of application. The soil textural class of the test field was sandy loam. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1.No crop injury by treated chemicals except Simazine and Herban and no difference in initial crop injury between varieties were observed. In MON-0385 post-emergence treatment, initial crop injury was severe but the injury was fully recovered 50 days after treatment. 2. The chemicals which showed the most effective weed control rate for 70 days after treatment were MON-0385 at 6 kg/ha (PE*and POE**),4kg/ha (POE) and G-315 at 0.8 kg/ha (PE), and the chemicals which showed thorough control as observed 50 days after treatment were Swep at 4 kg/ha and Propanil. 3. Because Tongil variety was weak under drought weather condition, growth was not so good and yield was much affected due to the delayed heading stage (Sept,8∼10) by 10 days in comparison with Palgeong. The chemicals which showed the most increased yield against hand weeding were as follows. Palgeong: MON-0385-6kg/ha(PE and POE),Machete-3kg/ha, Swep-5kg/ha, G-315·0.6kg/ha(PE). Tonsil: MON-0385 6kg/ha (PE), MO-3kg/ha, TOK-3kg/ha, G-315-0.6 kg/ha, Machete-3kg/ha, MON-0385-2kg/ha (POE). ※PE: Pre-emergence treatmentn ※POE: Post-emergence treatment

        Stomata Density and Size of Acer palmatum to the Elevated Ozone

        Acer palmatum was selected and its responses to elevated ozone were subsequently measured during growing periods. Ozone concentration of this study was compared to the calculated AOT40 value. A. palmatum had significantly many but small stomata size to the ozone stress. The length of stomata of A. palmatum was reduced from 5.6 to $5.0{\mu}m$ to the ozone exposure. However, the number of stomata (density) was increased from 102 to 131 in the $500{\times}500{\mu}m$ leaf area.

        The optimization problems with quadratic constraints often appear in various fields such as network flows and computer tomography. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for solving those problems and prove the convergence of the proposed algorithm.
