        IT 기술력으로 대한민국을 연결하다: 메쉬코리아의 성공 메커니즘 분석

        온라인 쇼핑 시장의 발전과 코로나19 바이러스의 확산으로 비대면 생활 시대가 점진되면서 라스트 마일 시장(Last Mile Market)은 유래 없는 호황을 맞이하고 있다. 이제는 배송의 대상이 음식에 국한되지 않고 편의점, H&B 스토어 등 비(非)음식분야까지 서비스가 보편화 되었다. 본 연구는 라스트 마일 업계에서 IT(Information Technology) 기술력을 기반으로 성공적인 성장을 거듭하고 있는 메쉬코리아의 성공 사례를 자원기반이론(RBV)의 확장 모델로 평가되는 SER-M 패러다임을 통해 분석했다. 주체의 특성, 환경적 조건, 자원의 역량요인 등이 융합 · 결합을 통해 어떠한 메커니즘을 형성하여 성공할 수 있었는지, 그리고 더 큰 성장을 위해 어떤 도전과제에 직면하고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 분석결과, 선순환적 성장 메커니즘을 구축시켜준 주요 원동력은 다음과 같이 나타났다. 첫째, 주체변수의 특성은 창업가의 기업가정신으로 나타났다. 메쉬코리아의 창업주 유정범 대표는 아버지의 장례식장에서 배달 시스템의 비효율성을 보면서 이를 개선하기 위해 창업을 결심했다. 유대표의 기업가 정신은 현장 중시 철학인 ‘우문현답’, 모두에게 이익이 되도록 하려는 모토인 ‘세상에서 가장 깨끗한 1원의 가치’, 그리고 흔히 라이더(Rider)라 부르는 배송기사들에 대한 ‘섬김의 리더십’실천으로 부각된다. 둘째, 성공을 위한 환경적 요인은 온라인 쇼핑이 활성화되어 라스트 마일 사업이 확대된 시장 환경, 인공지능(AI), 빅데이터 등 다양한 기술의 발전에 힘입어 신유통 등 물류 시장에 혁신의 바람을 불게 한 시대적 환경, 그리고 코로나-19 신종 바이러스 확산에 따른 강력한 사회적 거리두기 조치등의 정책적 환경이 새로운 기회를 제공한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 유정범 대표의 기업가 정신과 코로나 팬데믹 환경에 더하여 메쉬코리아가 보유하고 있는 인적, 물적 자원을 업계에서 유일하게 직영 구조로 운영하는 전략적 자원으로 구축 및 활용함으로써 글로벌 배송 업체까지도 벤치마킹하고자 하는 메쉬코리아의 선순환적 성공 메커니즘이 사내외로 확산되고 있음을 확인하였다. 논문의 마지막 부분에서는 대부분의 사업과 산업이 어려움에 처한 상황에서도 배송업계에 대한 낙관적 전망에 따라 포화상태로 접어들고 있는 라스트 마일 업계에서 메쉬코리아가 향후 직면하게 될 도전과제에 대하여 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 메쉬코리아의 성공적 성장사례를 통해 스타트업 기업들의 시장진입 및 성장전략, 그리고 그 과정에서 직면하게 되는 이슈와 과제를 어떻게 대응하고 극복해 갈 것인지에 대한 방법을 토론하는 데 그 의미를 두고자 하였다. The Last Mile Market is experiencing an unprecedented boom due to advent of the non-faceto-face life era caused by the development of the online shoppong market and the spread of the COVID-19. The target of delivery is not limited to food, and services have become common in non-food fields such as convenience stores and H&B stores. This study analyzed the success cases of Mesh Korea, which has achieved successful results based on IT(Information Technology) in the Last Mile Industry, through a ser-M model. and this study examines what kind of mechanisms the subject, environment, and resourse factors could have formed and succeeded through fusion and combination, and what challenges they face for greater growth. CEO Rhyu Jeong-beom, founder of Mesh Korea, decided to start a business in order to improve the inefficiency of the delivery system at his father’s funeral. His entrepreneurship is “Woo Moon Hyeon-dap(The answer to our problem is in the field),” a philosophy that focuses on the field, “the cleanest value of 1 won in the world,” and the leadership of serving delivery riders. Environmental factors for success were analyzed by dividing in to Market Environment in which the Last Mile Market has expanded due to active online shopping, The environment of the times in which various technologies such as AI(artificial intelligence) and big data have been developed to blow the wind of innovation in the logistics market. and Policy Environment such as strong social distancing following the spread of the COVID-19. This study presents the challenges that Mesh Korea will face in the future in the last mile industry, which is saturated with indyustry optimism. And it is meaningful in discussing how to overcome the start-up and growth of start-up companies and the challenges they will face through the case of Mesh Korea.

        Studies on the Apoptosis-Inducing Effect of Ulmi Pumilae Cortex on Human Leukemia HL-60 Cells

        The antiproliferative effect of the water extract of the branch and root bark of Ulmi Pumilae Cortex(WEUPC) was investigated on the p53-negative human leukemia cell line (HL-60). A dose- and time-dependent inhibition of cell growth was observed; this effect appears to be due to induction of apoptosis. Involvement of oxidative stress is indicated by a dose-dependent increase in intracellular reactive oxygen species levels. In addition. anti-apoptic effect was observed in the cells simultaneously treated with WEUPC and the anti-oxidant N-acetylcysteine. WEUPC did not affect the anti-apoptotic Bcl-2 and the pro-apoptotic Bax, whereas p21/sup WAF1/CIPl/ was enhanced in a dose- and time-dependent fashion; this effect was partially inhibited by N-acetylcysteine. The increase in p21/sup WAF1/CIPl/ was accompanied by a parallel accumulation of cells in the G1 phase of the cycle. These results suggest that the p53-independent induction of p21/sup WAF1/CIP/ and the induction of apoptosis may mediate the anti proliferative effect of WEUPC at least in this study; on the basis of this observation, WEUPC could be proposed as an useful adjunct to the treatment of p53-deficient tumors, which are often refractory to standard chemotherapy.

        Role of Reactive Oxygen Species in TGF-β1-Induced Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase Activation and Epithelial-Mesenchymal Transition in Renal Tubular Epithelial Cells

        <P>Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) plays an important role in renal tubulointerstitial fibrosis and TGF-beta1 is the key inducer of EMT. Phosphorylation of Smad proteins and/or mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPK) is required for TGF-beta1-induced EMT. Because reactive oxygen species (ROS) are involved in TGF-beta1 signaling and are upstream signaling molecules to MAPK, this study examined the role of ROS in TGF-beta1-induced MAPK activation and EMT in rat proximal tubular epithelial cells. Growth-arrested and synchronized NRK-52E cells were stimulated with TGF-beta1 (0.2 to 20 ng/ml) or H(2)O(2) (1 to 500 microM) in the presence or absence of antioxidants (N-acetylcysteine or catalase), inhibitors of NADPH oxidase (diphenyleneiodonium and apocynin), mitochondrial electron transfer chain subunit I (rotenone), and MAPK (PD 98059, an MEK [MAP kinase/ERK kinase] inhibitor, or p38 MAPK inhibitor) for up to 96 h. TGF-beta1 increased dichlorofluorescein-sensitive cellular ROS, phosphorylated Smad 2, p38 MAPK, extracellular signal-regulated kinases (ERK)1/2, alpha-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA) expression, and fibronectin secretion and decreased E-cadherin expression. Antioxidants effectively inhibited TGF-beta1-induced cellular ROS, phosphorylation of Smad 2, p38 MAPK, and ERK, and EMT. H(2)O(2) reproduced all of the effects of TGF-beta1 with the exception of Smad 2 phosphorylation. Chemical inhibition of ERK but not p38 MAPK inhibited TGF-beta1-induced Smad 2 phosphorylation, and both MAPK inhibitors inhibited TGF-beta1- and H(2)O(2)-induced EMT. Diphenyleneiodonium, apocynin, and rotenone also significantly inhibited TGF-beta1-induced ROS. Thus, this data suggest that ROS play an important role in TGF-beta1-induced EMT primarily through activation of MAPK and subsequently through ERK-directed activation of Smad pathway in proximal tubular epithelial cells.</P>

      • 2-D modeling and characteristic analysis of a magnetic position sensor

        This paper presents the shape design of the permanent magnet for a rotary type magnetic position sensor for an automobile acceleration pedal using a new two-dimensional (2-D) analysis method. Basically, its flux path is not uniform in the axial direction because the magnetic flux flows three-dimensionally (3-D) between the stator yoke and permanent magnet. So, the analysis and design of the magnetic position sensor has to consider the 3-D shape. We propose a 2-D analytical modeling method of magnetic position sensor account for fringing effects and optimize the shape of the permanent magnet for a high linearity characteristic. Then, the validity of the developed method is confirmed by comparing the calculated values with the measured values.

        首都圈地域에서 리기다소나무 잎과 잔뿌리 속의 陽이온 부족

        수도권과 그 주변 지역의 33지소의 리기다소나무 숲에서 리기다소나무 잎과 잔뿌리의 주요이온의 함량을 정량하였다. 잎 속의 N, P, K 및 Mg 함량운 전년도 잎에 비해 당해연도 잎속에 높았지만, Al과 Ca은 그 반대였다. 잎 속의 N, P, K 및 Al 함랴은 지역간의 차이가 없었지만, Ca과 Mg 함량은 전원지에 비해 도심지에서 낮았다. 그러나 잎속의 N/Ca와 N/Mg의 비의 값은 전원지에보다 도심지에서 컸다. 표토 잔뿌리 속의 Mg 함량은 도심으로부터 거리가 멀어짐에 따라 증가하였으나, 심층토 잔뿌리 속의 Al 함량은 그 반대였다. 토양층 잔뿌리 속의Al 함량은 도심지보다 전원지에서 낮았다. 토양층 잔뿌리속의 Al 함량은 낙엽층의 잔뿌리에 비하여 2~3배 높았다. 그리고 표토보다 심층토에 존재하는 잔뿌리 속에 Al 함량이 높았다. 그러므로 수도권 지역에서 리기다소나무의 생장감소는 조직 속의 Ca과 Mg 부족, N/Ca과 N/Mg 비의증가 및 잔뿌리 생장에 대한 Al 독성에 있었다. 그리고 수도권 지역에서 잔뿌리의 비정상적인 분포는 산성토양에서 Al 독성에 의한 잔뿌리의 생장감소가 그 원인으로 해석된다. The contents of major elements were determined in current-year and previous-year needles and fine roots of pitch pine (Pinus yzgida) at 33 sites in Seoul and its vicinity. Contrary to Ca and Al in needles, N, P, Mg and K contents in current-year needles were higher than those in previous-year needles. The N, P, K and Al contents in current-year needles in Seoul were not significantly different from those in rural areas. In contrast, Ca and Mg contents in needles in Seoul were significantly lower than those in suburbs and rural areas. The N /Ca and N /Mg ratios in needles in urban Seoul were higher than those in rural areas. Mg contents in fine roots in soil of 0-5 cm depth increased along with distance from the center of Seoul, while Al contents in fine root in soil of 5-10 cm depth decreased along with distance from the center of Seoul. Al contents in fine roots in soil layer in Seoul and suburbs were higher than those in rural areas. Al contents in fine roots in litter layer were 1 /3 - 1 /2 times lower than those in soil layer for all areas. A1 content in fine roots in deep soil was higher than that in top soil. Therefore growth decline of pitch pine in Seoul and suburbs was thought to be caused by Ca and Mg deficiency in plant tissues and Al toxicity to fine roots. Abnormal vertical distribution of fine roots of pitch pine in Seoul and its vicinity were interpreted as the result of growth reduction of fine roots by Al toxicity in deep layer of acid soil.

        首都圈地域에서 土壤의 酸性化에 의한 리기다소나무의 生長 減少

        수도권에서 보고된 리기다소나무 생장감소의 원인을 밝히기 위하여 33장소의 리기다소나무 숲에서 교목의 밀도, 수령 및 토양의 물리화학적 특성을 조사하였다. 토성을 제외하고 토양의 물리적 특성들은 도심지와 전원지에서 차가 없었다. 그러나 토양의 pH값, 염기포화도 및 염기성 양이온 함량은 전원지에 비해 도심지에서 낮았지만, 수용성 Al 함량과 S함량은 그 반대였다. 도심지의 토양산성화는 산성강하물에 의한 영향으로 해석된다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 수도권에서 리기다소나무 생장은 토양의 가비중<토양의 Al 함량<교목의 밀도<토양의 Mg 함량<수령의 순으로 영향이 컸다. 결론적으로 수도권에서 리기다소나무 생장의 감소는 1차적으로 토양산성화가 주요한 요인이었을 것으로 판단된다. To elucidate the cause of growth decline of pitch pine (Pinus rigida) in Seoul, tree density, tree age and physico-chemical properties of soils were investigated at 33 sites of pitch pine forests in metropolitan Seoul, its vicinity and rural areas. The physical properties of soils except for soil texture in Seoul did not differ from those in rural areas. pH values, base saturation, and Ca and Mg contents of soils in Seoul, however, were significantly lower than those in suburbs and rural areas. In contrast, soluble Al and $S0_4^{2-}-S$ contents in Seoul were higher than those in rural areas. Low pH of forest soils in Seoul and suburbs seems to be caused by acid deposition. According to multiple regression analysis, growth of pitch pine in Seoul was affected by several factors in the following order: soil bulk density < Al content of soils < tree density < Mg contents of soil < tree age. We concluded that the acidification of forest soil can be a predisposing factor for the growth decline of pitch pine in metropolitan areas.

      • Electrical loop antenna using stacked patches for 433.92 MHz RFID reader

        A novel and compact electrical loop antenna for an RFID reader at 433.92 MHz is proposed. Using modified and stacked patches, in-phase and uniform currents are excited so that an omnidirectional radiation pattern with a φ-component of the electric field is obtained. The antenna is analysed based on simulated and measured results.

        Application of Three-Dimensional Light Microscopy for Thick Specimen Studies

        The thickness of specimen is an important factor in microscopic researches. Thicker specimen contains more information, but it is difficult to obtain well focused image with precise details due to optical limit of conventional microscope. Recently, a microscope unit that combines improved illumination system, which allows real time three-dimensional (3D) image and automatic z-stack merging software. In this research, we evaluated the usefulness of this unit in observing thick samples; Golgi stained nervous tissue and ground prepared bone, tooth, and non-transparent small sample; zebra fish teeth. Well focused image in thick samples was obtained by processing z-stack images with Panfocal software. A clear feature of neuronal dendrite branching pattern could be taken. 3D features were clearly observed by oblique illumination. Furthermore, 3D array and shape of zebra fish teeth was clearly distinguished. A novel combination of two channel oblique illumination and z-stack imaging process increased depth of field and optimized contrast, which has a potential to be further applied in the field of neuroscience, hard tissue biology, and analysis of small organic structures such as ear ossicles and zebra fish teeth.

        A Glance of Electron Tomography through 4th International Congress on Electron Tomography

        Electron tomography (ET) is an electron microscopic technique for obtaining a 3-D image from any electron microscopy specimen and its application in biomedical science has been increased thanks to development of electron microscopy and related technologies during the last decade. There are few researches on ET in Korea during this period. Although the importance of ET has been recognized recently by many researchers, initial approach to electron tomographic research is not easy for beginners. The 4th International Congress on Electron Tomography (4 ICET) was held on Nov 5~8, 2006, at San Diego. The program dealt instrumentation, reconstruction algorithm, visualization/quantitative analysis and electron tomographic presentation of biological specimen and nano particles. I have summarized oral presentations and analyzed the posters presented on the meeting. Cryo-electron microscopic system was popular system for ET and followed conventional transmission electron microscopic system. Cultured cell line and tissue were most popular specimens analyzed and microorganisms including bacteria and virus also constituted important specimens. This analysis provides a current state of art in ET research and a guide line for practical application of ET and further research strategies.
