Routing System with diversion in wireless ad hoc Security
R. Divya Vani 사단법인 미래융합기술연구학회 2015 아시아태평양융합연구교류논문지 Vol.1 No.4
We consider the issue of routing packets across a multi-hop network comprising of numerous wellsprings of movement and remote connections while guaranteeing limited expected postponement. Every bundle transmission can be caught by an irregular subset of collector hubs among which the following transfer is chosen deftly. The primary test in the plan of least postponement steering strategies is adjusting the exchange off between directing the parcels along the briefest ways to the goal and circulating the activity as per the greatest backpressure. Joining critical parts of most limited way and backpressure steering, this paper gives a deliberate advancement of a disseminated pioneering directing arrangement with clog differences (D-ORCD). D-ORCD utilizes a measure of depleting time to sharply distinguish and course parcels along the ways with a normal low general clog. D-ORCD with single goal is demonstrated to guarantee a limited expected deferral for all systems and under any allowable movement, inasmuch as the rate of computations is adequately quick in respect to activity insights. Besides, this paper proposes a commonsense usage of D-ORCD which experimentally advances basic calculation parameters and their consequences for postponement and also convention overhead. Reasonable QualNet reenactments for 802.11-based systems show a critical change in the average delay over comparable solutions in the literature.
Analysis of Multimodal Biometric Fusion Based Authentication Techniques for Network Security
R.Divya,V.Vijayalakshmi 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Security and Its Applicat Vol.9 No.4
Multibiometrics is the usage of more than one physiological or behavioral characteristic to identify an individual. Multibiometrics is advantageous over unibiometrics as it is resilience to spoofing and has low False Acceptance Rate (FAR). However Multibiometrics requires storage of multiple biometric templates for each user, which results in increased risk to user privacy and system security. This paper will discuss the concept off biometrics and biometric system, multimodal biometric fusion techniques, crypto-biometrics and an algorithm for session key generation for secure communication of data.

Natural medicinal systems such as Ayurveda and folk medicine has remedies for wound management. However, the exact cellular and extracellular mechanisms involved in the healing process and its influence on keratinocytes is less discussed. Therefore, the present study was designed to evaluate the effect of certain natural wound healing medicines on the biology of the keratinocytes/HaCaT cells. Test materials such as honey (H), ghee (G), aqueous extracts of roots of Glycyrrhiza glabra (GG) and leaves of Nerium indicum (NI) were considered. The HaCaT cells were treated with the test materials singly and in combinations (H+G, all combined [Tot]) for a specific period (24, 48, and 72 hours). The cells were then subjected to cytotoxicity/proliferation and migration/scratch assays. All the test materials, except NI, were non-cytotoxic and showed increased cell proliferation at variable concentrations. Significant observations were made in the groups treated with honey (100 µg/ml at 48 hours, P<0.05; 1,000 µg/ml at 72 hours, P<0.05), GG (all concentrations at 48 hours, P<0.05; 750 µg/ml at 72 hours, P<0.05), H+G (250 µg/ml at 24 hours, P<0.001; 500 µg/ml at 48 and 72 hours, P<0.05), and Tot (50 µg/ml at 24, 48 and 72 hours, P<0.01). In the in-vitro wound healing assay, all the treated groups showed significant migration and narrowing of the scratch area by 24 and 48 hours (P<0.001) compared to control. The results obtained from the present study signifies the positive influence of these natural wound healing compounds on keratinocytes/HaCaT cells.

This paper elaborates two novel proposed topologies (type-I and type-II) of the high stepup DC-DC converter using switched inductor and voltage multiplier cell. The advantages of these proposed topologies are the less voltage stress on semiconductor devices, low device count, high power conversion efficiency, high switch utilization factor and high diode utilization factor. We analyze the Type-II topologies operating principle and mathematical analysis in detail in continuous conduction mode. High-intensity discharge lamp for the automotive application can use the derived topologies. The proposed converters give better performance when compared to the existing types. Also, it is found that the proposed type-II converter has relatively higher voltage gain compared to the type-I converter. A 40 W, 12 V input voltage and 72 V output voltage has developed for the type-II converter and the performances are validated.

Devi R.,Kirthika A.,Divya Priyadharshini M.,Ladha Akash,Anju A.,Rajesh Kumar T.,Ganesh Prabhu S.,Varghese Lijo Jacob,Santhosh P. 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.3
This paper proposes the new technique for detecting symmetrical faults occurred during power swing. The proposed technique is simulated for the protection of two machine system, distribution system with distributed generation and WSCC 9-bus system in Matlab. Symmetrical fault detection during power swing is a critical issue. Hence, in this paper, modifi ed weighted wavelet packet entropy technique is proposed to detect symmetrical fault during power swing. This entropy criterion is applied to wavelet packet coeffi cients to enhance the energy of fault signals and to reduce the vector size of the wavelet packet transform coeffi cients. This technique provides better results irrespective of various fault locations, fault inception angle and power swing frequencies. This technique is compared with conventional scheme and the results are tabulated. Moreover, this technique is also able to detect asymmetrical faults with high impedance during power swing. Mathematical derivation support system performance through simulation.

Background: Dental fear and anxiety are significant challenges in managing behavior in children. Oral administration of sucrose or sweet-tasting solutions has shown effectiveness in reducing procedural pain in infants and neonates. This study aimed to investigate whether pre-application of sucrose solution had an effect on minimizing pain perception during injection and to assess the potential impact of the child’s age and sweet preference. Methods: A randomized control clinical trial was conducted on 60 children aged 3–9 years requiring buccal infiltration injections. Following parental consent, demographic data of the children were recorded. Sweet preferences was assessed using a modified forced-choice test. Children were equally and randomly allocated into study (sucrose) and control groups using a lottery method. Sucrose solution or distilled water, respectively, was applied to the lateral surface of the tongue for 2 min. Topical anesthetic was applied at the site of injection, followed by local anesthesia administration. The children rinsed their mouths thrice with water immediately after anesthetic injection. A video was recorded during injection which was then scored by three blinded examiners on the Sound Eye Motor (SEM) scale. The children also self-evaluated using Wong-Baker Faces Pain Rating Scale (WBFPS). Results: The mean SEM scores and WBFPS scores were analyzed using the Kruskall–Wallis test. The mean SEM score in the study group was 1.37 ± 0.61, compared to 3.17 ± 0.87 in the control group, showing a statistically significant difference (P < 0.001). Mean pain scores assessed by WBFPS in the study group were 0.60 ± 1.4, while in the control group, they were 6.27 ± 2.33, also showing a statistically significant difference (P < 0.001). Children with a sweet preference demonstrated a subjective reduction in pain perception. Conclusion: Application of sucrose before dental injections in children helps to minimize pain upon injection across all age groups.
Exploration of Heat Stress-Responsive Markers in Understanding Trait Associations in Wheat
Manjunatha P. B.,Nivedita Sinha,Hari Krishna,Divya Chauhan,Pawan Kumar,Ranjeet R. Kumar,Neelu Jain,P. K. Singh,G. P. Singh 한국식물학회 2021 Journal of Plant Biology Vol.64 No.2
Heat stress (HS) is detrimental to wheat production and productivity globally. To combat HS, several genetic, molecular, and genomic approaches have been employed in the past. Analyzing the physiochemical mechanisms and the important regulatory genes involved is the key to develop HS tolerant plants. In the present work, a total of 243 novel simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers developed from stress-associated genes identified through RNA-seq were used for understanding marker–trait associations. 37 SSRs were found to be clearly polymorphic and among these, 28 SSR loci were significantly associated with component traits of HS tolerance. The polymorphic SSRs were validated for diversity analysis on a subset of 85 genotypes. The genotypes were grouped into four clusters representing diverse and similar alleles imparting HS tolerance in Indian and exotic genotypes. Additionally, 28 genes selected for the expression analysis confirmed that 15 genes were induced under HS in the thermotolerant WH1021 and Raj3765 and repressed in thermosusceptible HD2009 cultivar. Hence, the information on traits associated with candidate genes and the SSR markers overlying on the gene will enhance our understanding of thermotolerance mechanism operating in wheat and will help the breeders in the precise development of heat-tolerant genotypes through marker-assisted selection (MAS).

$^{18}F$-Fluorocholine (FCH) PET/CT is evolving as a functional imaging modality for the preoperative imaging of abnormal parathyroid tissue(s) helping to localize eutopic and ectopic parathyroid tissue and limit the extent of surgery. FCH PET/CT may show incidental uptake in various thyroid lesions necessitating further evaluation, whereas the role of $^{18}F$-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) PET/CT in the detection of incidental thyroid nodules is well documented. The case of a middle-aged woman with dual pathology of parathyroid adenoma and papillary thyroid cancer detected on FCH and FDG PET/CT is presented.
