Discretization of laser model with bifurcation analysis and chaos control
Qamar Din,Waqas Ishaque,Iqra Maqsood,Abdelouahed Tounsi Techno-Press 2023 Advances in nano research Vol.15 No.1
This paper investigates the dynamics and stability of steady states in a continuous and discrete-time single-mode laser system. By using an explicit criteria we explored the Neimark-Sacker bifurcation of the single mode continuous and discrete-time laser model at its positive equilibrium points. Moreover, we discussed the parametric conditions for the existence of period-doubling bifurcations at their positive steady states for the discrete time system. Both types of bifurcations are verified by the Lyapunov exponents, while the maximum Lyapunov ensures chaotic and complex behaviour. Furthermore, in a three-dimensional discrete-time laser model, we used a hybrid control method to control period-doubling and Neimark-Sacker bifurcation. To validate our theoretical discussion, we provide some numerical simulations.

Shifting of air conditioning and ventilation plants from conventional to renewable energy systems is one of the effective ways to save energy and attain sustainability. In this experimental study, an effort has been made to design, fabricate, and evaluate the cooling performance of a solar-powered domestic air cooler with Peltier plates to meet the comfort criteria as per ASHRAE standards. It also investigates the effect of Peltier modules on the performance of conventional room air cooler. The experiments were conducted in a 12x12 room with one, two, three, and four Peltier modules operating at various ambient temperatures. The experiments were repeated three times at specified conditions. Peltier effect was used to decrease water temperature, and subsequently cooled water was used to decrease the temperature of the air after coming in contact with this water. The cooled air was then used to create a comfort zone. The results indicated a decrease in temperature of the experimental zone by 5 %, 13 %, 19 %, and 23 % using one, two, three, and four Peltier modules respectively. The increase in relative humidity was recorded as 5 % at 27 °C temperature of the experimental zone. The results of energy analysis showed a substantial amount of energy savings in this study and suggest that more than 200 MW energy can be saved by replacing conventional electric air coolers all over the country with proposed Peltier based domestic solar powered air cooler.
Discrimination and bifurcation analysis of tumor immune interaction in fractional form
Taj, Muhammad,Khadimallah, Mohamed A.,Hussain, Muzamal,Rashid, Yahya,Ishaque, Waqas,Mahmoud, S.R.,Din, Qamar,Alwabli, Afaf S.,Tounsi, Abdelouahed Techno-Press 2021 Advances in nano research Vol.10 No.4
A tumor immune interaction is a main topic of interest in the last couple of decades because majority of human population suffered by tumor, formed by the abnormal growth of cells and is continuously interacted with the immune system. Because of its wide range of applications, many researchers have modeled this tumor immune interaction in the form of ordinary, delay and fractional order differential equations as the majority of biological models have a long range temporal memory. So in the present work, tumor immune interaction in fractional form provides an excellent tool for the description of memory and hereditary properties of inter and intra cells. So the interaction between effector-cells, tumor cells and interleukin-2 (IL-2) are modeled by using the definition of Caputo fractional order derivative that provides the system with long-time memory and gives extra degree of freedom. Moreover, in order to achieve more efficient computational results of fractional-order system, a discretization process is performed to obtain its discrete counterpart. Furthermore, existence and local stability of fixed points are investigated for discrete model. Moreover, it is proved that two types of bifurcations such as Neimark-Sacker and flip bifurcations are studied. Finally, numerical examples are presented to support our analytical results.
