Increasingly nonlinear dynamic loads such as personal computer, laser printers, variable speed drivers, and various solid-state electronic equipment have led to harmonics in the power system. Harmonics can cause a variety problem such as waveform distribution, improper voltage readings, and especially load modeling. In this study, we developed harmonics analysis technique based load modeling method with harmonic components. In traditional load modeling techniques, the harmonics has not been considered. Thus, the harmonics problems in load modeling are considered To show the effectiveness, the proposed method has been intensively tested with various dataset acquired under the different frequency and voltage and compared it with conventional methods such as IEEE 2nd equation method with harmonic components.

In this study heating load and power load of winter were pattern-sorted by using neural network. In this pattern classification Kohonen Self-Organizing Feature Map was used and corelation coefficient of a week was counted as statistic approach. As a result, the usefulness of it was certified. The classification of this study can apply to the demand side management of the unit building usefully. Load pattern classification about much more building and the analysis of it are required continually.

In this research, characteristics of electric energy saving equipments, which were produced by several companies, were analyzed. Output voltage of equipment was 208[V] when input was220[V]. Change of harmonics and power factor cannot be observed in experiments. voltage variance was in limitations. But illumination and lift decrease of lighting fixtures and rotating characteristics change of motors can be anticipated.

Harmonics happened due to nonlinear systems such as UPS, SCR controlled motors, and fluorescent lighting in distribute power system is very important subject to optimal operate and control of power system. Harmonics sometimes takes place incorrect operation of protective relaying system under normal condition on power system. This paper presents the actual recording data of transformer located at substation of industrial installation for harmonic analysis in detail.

This paper deals with classification of load pattern in unit building. A typical load pattern has been an importance role in operation and cogeneration planning of unit building. A Kohonen SOFM has been applied to the measeured data in summer. Also, Correlation Cofficient method has for this. It is shown that the classification of load pattern is very useful.

In electrical industry, development of inverter technique make to control AC motor precisely. So the using inverter spreads fast. The motor using inverter has high efficiency, characteristic of constant torque, output and etc. However, in spite of many good things of using inverter, VS-Motor is used widely because of simple control and cheap cost. VS-Motor is speed control method using eddy-current coupling. This method installs eddy-current coupling with constant speed driving induction motor and controls rotating speed through a charging change of a excitation current, particularly. But this method has large losses and low efficiency because of heating as slip drum in low speed region. In cooling, addition of a mechanical devices is difficult and in volume, large space is occupied. Using SCR for control, efficiency of system is low. In case of inverter, though advantage of high efficiency and high performance the price is expensive. Therefore, in this study, we developed VVVF Inverter system for controlling AC power. A using micro-controller can make the price down and it has many devices so it can be expected the system's compact and low noise effect.
단기부하예측을 위한 신경회로망 설계(I) : 일일 부하 형식 분류를 위한 SOFM SOFM for Day Type Identification

A new approach using artificial neural networks(ANNs) is proposed for short term load forecasting. To forecast the hourly loads of a day, the hourly load pattern and the peak and valley loads of the day must the determined. In this paper I, a neural network based on self organising feature maps to identify those days with similar hourly load patterns is developed. these days with similar load patterns are said to be of the same day type. The load pattern of the day under study is obtained by averaging the load pattern of several days in the past which are of the same day type as the given day. The effectiveness of the proposed neural network is demonstrated by the short term load forecasting in part II.

In part I of the paper, a neural network with unsupervised learning has been proposed to identify the day types. In this part of the paper a neural network, commonly referred to as the multilayer perceptron(MLP), is developed to forecast daily peak load and valley load. Unlike the self organizing feature maps in part I, the multilayer perceptron is a neural network with supervised learning. The neural network is first trained using historical load data. Then the trained neural network is applied to predict daily peak load and valley load. These peak load and valley loads, when combined with the hourly load pattern, can yield the desired hourly loads. Results from short term load forecasting are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the propessed neural networks.

Power system loads are important for planning and operation of an electric power system. Accurate dynamic load models allow more precise calculations of power system, controls and stability limits, which are critical in the planning and operation of power system. Specially, Induction motor constant power characteristic is very important in power system loads. This research identkfied dynamic induction motor load characteristics by BP neural network. Results of research are the following. Result of simulation shows a good approximation ability of BP neural network. BP neural network tracks well during disturbance, and steady state. For the future, certification of this research by actual power system is required. And investigations such as incorporation of this research into stability analysis and load flow should also be required.
