This paper describes progress on formulating a national asbestos profile for the country of Vietnam. The Center of Asbestos Resource, Vietnam, formulated a National Profile on Asbestos-related Occupational Health, with due reference to the International Labor Organization/World Health Organization National Asbestos Profile. The Center of Asbestos Resource was established by the Vietnamese Health Environment Management Agency and the National Institute of Labor Protection, with the support of the Australian Agency for International Development, as a coordinating point for asbestos-related issues in Vietnam. Under the National Profile on Asbestos-related Occupational Health framework, the Center of Asbestos Resource succeeded in compiling relevant information for 15 of the 18 designated items outlined in the International Labor Organization/World Health Organization National Asbestos Profile, some overlaps of the information items notwithstanding. Today, Vietnam continues to import and use an average of more than 60,000 metric tons of raw asbestos per year. Information on asbestos-related diseases is limited, but the country has begun to diagnose mesothelioma cases, with the technical cooperation of Japan. As it stands, the National Profile on Asbestos-related Occupational Health needs further work and updating. However, we envisage that the National Profile on Asbestos-related Occupational Health will ultimately facilitate the smooth transition to an asbestos-free Vietnam.

Objective Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) was indicated for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients inoperable. The purpose of the study was evaluated the result of SBRT in stage I NSCLC patients (T1-2aN0M0) with peripheral tumors. Methods Prospective, follow-up 23 patients with stage T1-2aN0M0 NSCLC with peripheral tumor, who were received SBRT, followup and evaluated from January, 2015 to January, 2020. The primary endpoints were Objective Response Rate (ORR), Disease Control Rate (DCR), Progression Free Survival (PFS), the second endpoints were Overall Survival (OS) and Toxicity. Results The average age was 65.13 years-old, the mean of diameter was 3.31cm, the mean of SUVmax value was 7.77. The stage of the tumor is mostly T2a (60,9%). The median of follow-up was 26 months, ORR was 91.3%, DCR was 95.7%. The median PFS was 26 months, median OS was 58 months, the ratio of OS in 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years were 95.7%, 65.2%, 39.1%, 26.1% and 17.4%, respectively. The common of adverse events was pneumonitis due to SBRT at 9 patients, but mainly was grade 1, no patients have pneumonitis grade 4 and 5. No clinically significant changes in pulmonary function following SBRT for earlystage NSCLC. Conclusion SBRT was a good option for patients with stage I NSCLC, there was no significant difference in survival between patients who refused surgery and those who have medical inoperable and this is a safe treatment for patients.
Dynamic Simulation of a 2-DOF Planar Translational Parallel Robot

In this paper, the kinematics and dynamics of the novel 2-DOF planar Translational Parallel Manipulator (TPM) are presented. The suggested TPM is made up of two P-Pa legs. Since all the linear actuators are mounted on the base, the proposed TPM maybe applied for high speed positioning application. The Lagrangian equations of the first type and kinematic parameters are used to derive the inverse dynamic equations due to the constraints of the TPM. The analytical results of the inverse dynamics equations have been compared with the ADAMS simulation results. These analytical inverse dynamics equations will be used for the real-time computed torque control in the future work.

Memristor Binarized Neural Networks

Binarized Neural Networks (BNNs) use only binary synapses of +1 and -1, not allowing any intermediate weights between -1 and +1. Though the recognition rate of BNNs is lower than the conventional Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), BNNs have attracted many interests nowadays, because BNNs do not need the complicated multiplication such as DNNs. Binary memristor crossbars can be very suitable to realize BNN hardware. This is because, in memristor BNNs, simple binary operation can be performed in bitwise manner for all the columns in memristor crossbars, simultaneously. In this paper, single-column and double-column memristor BNNs are presented, respectively. In addition, ReLU and sigmoid activation function circuits are also proposed with CMOS circuits. The designed Memristor-CMOS hybrid circuits of BNNs have been tested for MNIST vectors. The memristor BNNs could recognize almost 90% MNIST digits when the memristance variation is as large as 25%. For variation tolerance, the memristor BNNs are compared with the multi-valued memristor neural networks such as 4-bit, 6-bit, etc, in this paper. As a result, it has been confirmed the memristor BNNs become more variation-tolerant than the multi-valued memristor NNs when the variation becomes larger than 22%. Comparing the single-column and doublecolumn BNNs in this paper indicates that the singlecolumn BNN can save power consumption and array area almost by half than the double-column. This is because the single-column has just half memristors than the double-column. And, we measured the single-column and double-column BNNs using the fabricated memristor array. In this measurement, both the double-column and single-column BNNs were observed to work well.
Two Human Cases of Echinococcus ortleppi Infection in the Lung and Heart in Vietnam

This is a report of 2 cases of human hydatidosis caused by Echinococcus ortleppi in Vietnam. The patients were a 12-year-old male (case 1) having a cyst of 10.0×9.0 cm size in the lung and a 50-year-old female with a 3.0×3.3 cm-sized cyst in the heart. Eosinophilia was 33.7% in the male and 45.8% in the female patient. C-reactive protein was increased to 16.5 mg/L in the male and 18.2 mg/L in the female. Both patients were positive for ELISA at OD=2.5 and 3.1, respectively. Echinococcus protoscolices were collected from the cysts by amniocentesis and surgery. The protoscolices were identified as E. ortleppi by morphology and analysis of mitochondrial NADH dehydrogenase 1 (nad1) gene sequence. Both patients were cured by surgical resection of the hydatid cyst combined with albendazole medication. The E. ortleppi infection in lung is the second report, and the other in the heart is the first in Vietnam.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>In this study, a novel hydrothermal route has been developed for the synthesis of MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/graphene composite with controllable structures, in which ammonium molybdatetetrahydrate, as-prepared graphene oxide (GO), and thioacetamide were used as staring materials. Effects of Mo<SUP>4+</SUP>-to-C precursor ratios and crystalline time on the structures, components and morphologies of MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/graphene were investigated. MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/graphene samples were characterized using XRD, FESEM, HRTEM, FTIR, Raman spectroscopy, HAADF-STEM/EDS, HXPES and electrical measurements. The results show that petal-like MoS<SUB>2</SUB> nanostructures with ultrathin petals (~1–10 layers) and coexistence of 1T- and 2H-MoS<SUB>2</SUB> phases can be synthesized on graphene surface in a short time (~2 h). Comparison of crystallization conditions, we found that the crystallization time had a significant effect on the size of the MoS<SUB>2</SUB> nanopetals. The shorter the reaction time is, the thinner the petal-like MoS<SUB>2</SUB> nanoscale is. On the other hand, by adjusting the ratios of Mo<SUP>4+</SUP>to C (denoted as: MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/C (1:2), MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/C (3:2), MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/C (2.5:1) and MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/C (3:1)), different MoS<SUB>2</SUB>/graphene architectures including “sandwich-liked”, “layer–by–layer” and “anchored” can be obtained. On the basis of these results, a possible growth mechanism of MoS<SUB>2</SUB>nanopetals on GO was proposed.
