Although the conventional current transformers(CTs) and the potential transformers(PTs) have been used in the power system, new method is demanded which can measure with safty, EMI(electro-magnetic interference)-free. Over the last few years, variours kinds of optical measurement systems have been studied. The optical CTs and PTs systems, however, are very complicated and large, and hence the systems have a difficulty to maintain and repair. A new type fiber optic voltage and current transducers were fabricated by using fiber optic Fabry-Perot interferometer and PZT. A simple optical signal processing circuits and its PC interface circuits were also designed.

분산응용시스템은 서비스의 효율향상을 위해 일반적으로 병행성을 지원하는 것이 바람직하다. 그러나 병행성을 지원하기 위한 프로그래밍 기법은 난이도가 높은 구현 기법이며, 대부분의 프로그래밍 언어에서 이를 직접적으로 지원하지 않으므로, 분산응용시스템을 위한 개발자의 부담을 가중시키고 있다. 본 논문에서는 현재 분산응용시스템의 작성에 널리 쓰이고 있는 Java에서 병행성을 체계적으로 지원하기 위한 기반으로서, 세미포어나 조건변수와 같은 고수준 동기화 도구의 개발에 대해 소개하였다. 이러한 Java고수준 동기화 도구는 순수한 Java로 개발되어 이식성을 지니고 있으며, 개발자가 쉽게 기술할 수 있는 인터페이스를 제공하고 있다. 또한 Java가 지닌 대중성으로 인해 대부분의 분산응용시스템의 구축에 널리 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. In a development of distributed applications, it is desirable for a server to support concurrency in order to provide effective services. However, the programming mechanism for concurrency is difficult to implement correctly, so most programming languages do not support this facility directly. Therefore, the fact imposes extra burdens to the developers for distributed applications. The high-level synchronization tools such as Semaphores and Condition Variables in Java are suggested as a basis for systematically supporting concurrency control. The suggested high-level synchronization tools also have a good portability since it has developed in pure Java. In addition, due to the popularity of Java, these tools will ho a long way with developers in building distributed systems.

By establishing scuba diving educational agencies imprudently and introducing foreign manuals without reflecting domestic environment, many ocean accidents have occurred in Korea, bringing about social problems. Accordingly, the purpose of this study was to examine the situations of scuba diving and the treatment rate of caisson diseases in Korea, to find out the problems of diving educational manuals and the roles of educational agencies, and to provide improvement methods to develop educational manuals fit for domestic environment. As results of this study, first, the transparency of trainer courses should be secured, second, conservative manuals should be introduced at the beginning of a beginner course, and finally, some specific systems are needed to sanction trainers when irregularities relevant to license issue occur.

This study analyzed a acid rainfall phenomenon through setting up a network of measurement at 31 sites around Chonnam and Chonbuk provinces from July to November of 1987. The results of this analysis are as follows. 1. There was little change of pH value classified by month. The distribution value was estimated within pH 5.2 to pH 6.4 at the whole investigated sites. 2. The pH value of site 23 was 5.0 to 5.2 during the whole investigated periods. The site had the lowest value in pH as well as in the variable value of measurement. Because it is adjacent to a big city, also it is under the influence of a seasonal wind (what is called a Monsoon), this is the result by a long distance transportation of the fine pollutants and gas state materials being discharge from the city. 3. Presenting pH 5.0 to pH 5.6 of site 21 is because of dropping of a short distance by rain out and wash out of fine particles and gas state materids being discharge from Iri Industrial Estate and Iri-city. 4. In the factory district and the Industrial estate, the acid ion density was low and lots of dust of soil were Showed because of an increase in the acid materials such as SO_(4). The acidity brought low in the site where largely comprised unpaved road and farm land. 5. Since, even if this investigated site is studded with many factorial districts, the district still comprises large farm land and forest land, dropping phenomenon of acid rain is on low side rather than others up to now.

In the RF gas discharge system the load varies frequently by the operational environment. And it is often necessary to change the matching network to provide the maximum possible power transfer from the oscillator to the RF load. An Rf oscillator whose variable operating frequency is between 20 and 30 MHz and whose output RF power is about 200 watts was designed to solve this problem. The conversion efficiency from the DC power was about 80% It is found that the output oscillating frequency which gives minimum RF reflections from the loads follows automatically to the changes of the load or of the operating conditions. It is also found that the output frequency decreases with the larger load shunt capacitance.

Nowadays many battery-based systems like electric vehicle have appeared. As a result efficient battery management becomes important. In this paper, state-of-charge (SOC) estimation of a Concode lead acid battery is discussed. The SOC estimation problem plays an important role in battery management system(BMS). In this paper, an SOC table is established by many charge and discharge experiments. This table can be used to development advanced SOC estimation algorithms.
