        Electromagnetic Properties of the Dirac Particles

        A new representation for the Dirac equation, which may be appropriate to describe the interaction of the charged particle with the electric field, is derived by introducing a gauge-independent unitary transformation. It is shown that in this representation the effective Hamiltonian without potentials has a new feature in the non-relativistic limit.

        9.27pb^-1의 1994년과 1995년도 ZEUS 데이터를 이용한 렙토쿼엌의 탐색결과, 렙토쿼엌의 발생에 대한 증거를 발견하지 못하였다. 서로 다른 14종류의 렙토쿼엌에 대하여 전자-쿼엌의 결합상수에 대한 한계를 렙토쿼엌의 질량의 함수로서 결정하였으며, 전자와 쿼엌으로 붕괴하는 벡터 렙토쿼엌의 한종류인 U_3L 렙토쿼엌의 경우, 결합상수가 0.1일 때, 95%의 신뢰도내에서 최소한 218 GeV이상의 질량을 가져야 함을 발견하였다. This note represents very preliminary leptoquatk production limits using 94 and 95 ZEUS which have luminosity of 9.27 pb^-1. No leptoquark signal is observed. Limits of coupling as a function of leptoquark mass are determined for 14 different leptoquark types. At coupling equal to 0.1, the vector leptoquark, U_3L, which decay to eq with mass below 218 GeV is excluded at 95% confidence level.

        Monte Carlo Simulation of the Nucleus-Nucleus Scattering Produced by Low Momentum Transfer

        We show that diractive excitation processes which can be understood by a decay process of an excited nucleus induced by small momentum transfer can be described by DEXS which is a stand-alone Monte Carlo simulation program for diffractive excitation. The properties of DEXS are explored using two groups of experimental results from independent experiments.

        본 논문에서는, 영상의 패턴인식에서 에지의 경계를 확실하게 결정하기 위해 주어진 구간의 중앙 값과 서브픽셀(sub-pixel) 처리를 실행하는 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 본 알고리즘은 에지 부근의 기울기 값과 중앙값을 구하기 위하여 램프에지를 일차원 미분을 사용하여 루프에지의 형태로 변환하고, 서브픽셀 단위의 경계위치를 구하기 위하여 CoM(center of Mass)의 오프셋 값을 선정된 기준좌표에 적용하였다. 본 알고리즘을 평가하기 위해서 표준편차 값, 처리시간 및 예측되는 에지의 위치를 Tabatabai 및 Lyvers 알고리즘과 비교하였다. In this paper, a new edge detection algorithm which uses CoM(Center of Mass) method and sub-pixel algorithm is proposed. The procedure of this detector is as fellows; If a edge is ramp edge, we change it to roof edge by the gradient edge detector. To obtain the edge location to sub-pixel resolution, we apply CoM, then applied offset information to the result from CoM procedure. In order to evaluate the performance of this algorithm, we analyzed the standard deviation and the distance between the estimated edge location and the real edge location. We compared the performance with the Tabatabai and Lyvers algorithms.

        Experimental conditions for determination of the neutrino mass hierarchy with reactor antineutrinos

        <P>This article reports the optimized experimental requirements to determine neutrino mass hierarchy using electron antineutrinos ((v) over bar (e)) generated in a nuclear reactor. The features of the neutrino mass, hierarchy can be extracted from the vertical bar Delta m(31)(2)vertical bar and vertical bar Delta m(32)(2)vertical bar oscillations by applying the Fourier sine and cosine transforms to the L/E spectrum. To determine the neutrino mass hierarchy above 90% probability, the requirements on the energy resolution as a function of the baseline are studied at sin(2) 2 theta(13) = 0.1. If the energy resolution of the neutrino detector is less than 0.04/root E-v, and the determination probability obtained from Bayes' theorem is above 90%, the detector needs to be located around 48-53 km from the reactor(s) to measure the energy spectrum of (v) over bar (e). These results will be helpful for setting up an experiment to determine the neutrino mass hierarchy, which is an important problem in neutrino physics. (C) 2015 The Author.         Green's Function of Time-Energy Dependent Neutron Transport Equation

        시간과 에너지에 종속된 중성자 전도 방정식에 나타나는 연속 에너지 전도 연산자의 스펙트럼(Spectrum)을 분석했다. 스펙트럼에 관한 4가지 정리를 증명하고 일반화된 Mellin 에너지변화의 Convolution 정리를 얻었다. 또한 최종해에 필요한 완전성정리를 증명하고 점근적으로 가장 우세한 시간붕괴상수 1 - c를 발견하였다. The spectrum of continuous transfer operator arising in a time-energy dependent neutron transport equation is analyzed. Four theorems concerning on the spectrum are proved. A convolution theorem of the generalized Mellin energy transform is given. Also the completeness theorem necessary for a final solution is proved. A unique time decay constant 1 - c is found, which is dominant asymptotically.

        Time-Dependent Neutron Transport Equation with Delayed Neutrons

        Time-dependent neutron transport equation with delayed neutrons is analytic-ally solved in the case of isotropic scattering with constant cross sections. The equations in the two divided time regions are obtained from the original equation by the asymptotic method. It is shown that the approximate solutions in each time region are uniformly valid in time to the order of the inverse magnitude of the velocity.

        General Energy-Dependent Transport Equation with Fission

        More detailed calculations of extension to general anisotropic transport equation with fission are studied. These calculations involve that the operator can be splitted into scattering and fission operators when we prove the completeness of general anisotropy. Applying these operators to the equation makes it easy to extract the slowing-down transient of zero-measure, and completely solves the transport equation. In addition, the number of the eigenvalues of the second anisotropy is classified with Cs unknown, B$_1$and B$_2$known constants.

        The Variational Method Applied to the Neutron Transport Equation

        Noether's theorem is applied to the one dimensional neutron transport equation. It is obtained the transformation rendering the functional of the one dimensional Boltzmann equation invariant. It is derived the law conserving the product of the directional flux and its adjoint flux. The possible types of the solution of the Boltzmann equation are discussed. The results are compared with the well-known solution.
