An Analytical Review of Disaster Nursing Competencies in Korea: 1995-2013

본 연구는 1995년부터 2013년까지 국내 학회지에 게재된 재난간호역량 관련 일차적 연구를 체계적으로 고찰하고, 향후 재난간호역량에 관한 연구의 일 방향을 제시하고자 시도되었다. 자료 수집을 위해 국내 학위논문과 학술지논문 데이터베이스인 RISS(Research Information Sharing Service)2.0과 DBpia 6.1을 이용하여 관련어를 검색하였다. 자료의 질평가를 위해 미게재 된 학위논문, 비논문, 비심사 논문, 피해자 관점에 해당하는 논문을 제외하였으며, 심사를 거친 논문, 일차적 연구, 간호사 혹은 간호학생과 연관된 논문을 포함하였다. 최종 10개의 논문이 선정되어 내용분석기법을 통해 연구방법의 특성을 분석하고 재난간호역량 구성요소를 'Hyogo 재난간호 핵심역량 틀'을 중심으로 범주화하였다. 분석결과, 연구방법에 있어 다양한 연구설계와 도구가 사용되었으며, 재난간호 역량과 관련된 틀은 언급되지 않았거나 미흡하였다. 재난간호 역량 요소는 사정과 돌봄제공에 집중되어 있었으며, 재난취약계층 돌봄의 범주는 간과되고 있었다. 간호사와 간호학생의 재난간호역량 수준은 보통인 것으로 보고되었다. 연구결과, 국내 재난간호역량 관련 일차적 연구는 국제적 관점을 반영하거나 재난간호역량의 전반을 다루는데 매우 미흡하였다는 결론을 내리며, 향후, 간호연구가 글로벌 관점을 수용하여 '한국형 재난간호 핵심역량' 개발을 통해 효율적 재난관리에 기여할 것을 제언한다. This study was performed to identify the areas of disaster nursing competencies that were examined in previous studies of disaster nursing in Korea from 1995 to 2013 and to suggest a direction for further research. Data were retrieved from the Research Information Sharing Service (RISS) 2.0 and DBpia 6.1. The exclusion criteria were grey literature, non-peer-reviewed, and connected to victims. The inclusion criteria were peer-reviewed, written in Korean, primary research papers, and those connected to nurses, nursing students, or curriculum. After reviewing 26 full-text articles, ten studies were analyzed by qualitative content analysis to categorize methodological characteristics and the components of disaster nursing competencies based on the Hyogo Framework of Core Competencies Required for Disaster Nursing. The result were shown that various study designs and instruments were included. The frameworks on disaster nursing competencies were not concrete and differed among the research included. Most of the components of the disaster nursing competencies that were investigated by these studies fell into Category II, which consists of the systematic assessment and provision of care, while the competencies in Category III, the category of the provision of care for vulnerable people and their families, were relatively neglected. Nurses and nursing students had low to moderate levels of disaster preparedness. The reviewed studies did not fulfill global perspectives or comprehensively address disaster nursing competencies. Additional studies need to be performed by adopting international frameworks, including the ICN framework, and the Korean framework for disaster nursing competencies needs to be developed based on strong theoretical perspectives and strategies.

Sex does not mean simply the Physical behaviors related to man and woman, rather the sexality needed socializing process toward total personality. It is believed that religion or social norms on sex, limit talking about sex openly. But children have their own sexual thinking and wants to know why and how. This survey was conducted to find out the need in sex education of primary school students and their parents in Seoul area, comparing students'sexual knowledge, attitude, and behavior to their parents', in October 1989. Total 400 students and their parents who are attending two primary school in Seoul, were given the question-naires, and 395 students'and 310 parents', respectively, were finally analysed. The following results were obtained. 1. The mean of 1) questions in asking sexual knowledge of students was 6.18, and showed no difference between boys and girls. But the higher grade, the higher score. 2. The positive attitudes on marriage and sex roles were showed, but negative on physical changes with puberty, which was same to the parents'reaction. 3. More than three-forths of students wanted to take sex education class, and one-third of them believed that it should be conducted by school nurses. This was accorded with their parents. 4. The sexual knowledge degree and attitudes of parents went proportionately to their higher educational back ground. Protestants reacted more negatively to the given sexual terms. No significant difference was made among the age groups of them. As stated above, the degree of sexual knowledge and attitudes are movable accordingly to their children's sexual thinking and need. Therefore, it is strongly recommended that sex education in the primary schools should be conducted systematically involving parents, especially mothers. And it is suggested that school nurses undertake their responsibilities as the sex educators.
중국 연변지역 유방암 환자의 질병지각과 건강신념이 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the effects of illness perception and health beliefs on the quality of life (QOL) of breast cancer patients. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted. Data were collected using questionnaires administered to 200 patients admitted for chemotherapy after a partial or total mastectomy at a university hospital in Yanji City. The data were analyzed using t-tests, analysis of variance, Pearson’s correlation coefficients, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The QOL of the breast cancer patients was significantly correlated with health beliefs and a subfactor of illness perception. The significant factors influencing QOL were understanding illness and feeling threatened, accounting for 31.7% of the variance in QOL. Conclusion: Illness perception of breast cancer patients had a negative influence on QOL, whereas health beliefs affected it positively. An implication of this study’s findings is that interventions to reduce negative illness perception can improve the QOL among breast cancer patients.
