( Nusrat Jahan ),( Taeseong Park ),( Young Hwan Kim ),( Dongsun Lee ),( Hackyoung Kim ),( Kwangmo Noh ),( Young Jun Kim ) 한국질량분석학회 2013 Mass spectrometry letters Vol.4 No.3
The goal of this study is to find an experimental condition which enables us to perform enzymatic studies on the cellular behavior of PTEN (phosphatase and tensine homolog) through identification of molecular species of phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5- trisphosphates and their quantitative analysis in a mammalian cell line using mass spectrometry. We initially exployed a two-step extraction process using HCl for extraction of phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphates from two mammalian cell lines and further analyzed the extracted phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphates using tandem mass spectrometry for the identification of them. We finally quantified the concentration of phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphates using internal standard calibration. From these observation, we found that HEK 293-T cells is a good model to examine the enzymatic behavior of PTEN in a cell, and the minimum amount of phosphatidylinositol 3,4,5-trisphosphates is more than 50 pmol for quantification in a mass spectrometer. These results suggest that the well-optimized experimental conditions are required for the investigation of the cellular PTEN in terms of the catalytic mechanism and further for the detailed identification of cellular substrates.

Nusrat Jahan Tahira,박주령,임승진,박장식 한국산업융합학회 2023 한국산업융합학회 논문집 Vol.26 No.2
With the rapid advancement of technologies, need for different research fields where this technology can be used is also increasing. One of the most researched topic in computer vision is object detection, which has widely been implemented in various fields which include healthcare, video surveillance and education. The main goal of object detection is to identify and categorize all the objects in a target environment. Specifically, methods of object detection consist of a variety of significant techniques, such as image processing and patterns recognition. Anomaly detection is a part of object detection, anomalies can be found various scenarios for example crowded places such as subway stations. An abnormal event can be assumed as a variation from the conventional scene. Since the abnormal event does not occur frequently, the distribution of normal and abnormal events is thoroughly imbalanced. In terms of public safety, abnormal events should be avoided and therefore immediate action need to be taken. When abnormal events occur in certain places, real time detection is required to prevent and protect the safety of the people. To solve the above problems, we propose a modified YOLOv5 object detection algorithm by implementing dilated convolutional layers which achieved 97% mAP50 compared to other five different models of YOLOv5. In addition to this, we also created a simple mobile application to avail the abnormal event detection on mobile phones.

A characterization of generalized cyclic group
Naseem Ajmal,Nusrat Sultana,Iffat Jahan 원광대학교 기초자연과학연구소 2018 ANNALS OF FUZZY MATHEMATICS AND INFORMATICS Vol.16 No.2
This paper demonstrates that a generalized cyclic group can be characterized in terms of the distributivity of its $L$-subgroup lattice wherein the join structure of a pair of $L$-subgroups is formulated with the help of the notion of tip extended pair of $L$-subgroups. Also using this join structure, the modularity of the lattice of normal $ L $-subgroups of a group $G$ is established. In the last section, we establish our main theorems by an application of subdirect product theorems.
Performance Comparison of Human Activity Recognition for Unmanned Retails
Sheilla Wesonga,Nusrat Jahan Tahira,Jang-Sik Park 제어로봇시스템학회 2022 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2022 No.11
Lately, the broad usage of technology in almost all aspects of life has led to the increase in research supporting technology advancement. One of these research topics is Human Activity Recognition (HAR) with diverse applicability which include and not limited to video surveillance, healthcare and education. In this paper, we present a study based on human activity recognition while employing the Kinect RGB and Depth sensor camera to recognize seven different human activities (7 classes). The joint angles extracted from the Kinect depth sensor each has 3 axes (X, Y, Z) for the 8 limbs employed in our experiment as the feature vectors. For the purpose of classifying the human activities, we train and test with 3 different state of the art recurrent neural network models (GRU, LSTM, Bi-LSTM). The comparison of the 3 recurrent neural network models shows that LSTM has a higher human activity classification accuracy at 96% and using the confusion matrix as the performance metric for all the models, we show classification per activity.
Neural Network Controller for Two-Degree-Freedom Helicopter Control System
Ribhan Zafira Abdul Rahman,Nusrat Jahan Shoumy 제어로봇시스템학회 2012 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2012 No.10
Now a day automatic flight control is a crucial issue especially for emergency services. One of the fittest candidates for such services is two-degree-freedom (2DOF) helicopter. Automatic control features of 2-DOF helicopter are usually approximated using the linear quadratic regulator (LQR), which can be further enhanced in-terms of Neural Network (NN). Hence, this paper presents the nonlinear flight control of 2DOF helicopter using NN. A back propagation, feed forward NN model is developer and employed to approximate the nonlinear control features of 2DOF helicopter using Matlab software. The effectiveness of the basic 2DOF helicopter NN controller is apparent (~2% pitch and 14% yaw improvement) compared to the conventional (LQR) methods.

Brucella spp. are small, non-motile Gram-negative coccobacilli known to cause disease in a number of vertebrate species including humans and brucellosis is one of the world's major zoonoses, alongside bovine tuberculosis and rabies. There are about 33.55 million goats and 1.16 million sheep in Bangladesh. The sheep and goats can significantly play an important role in the economic well being of the resource-poor farmer in Bangladesh. Sexually matured 362 female small ruminants(300 goats and 62 sheep) were examined. Approximately 3-5 ml of blood was collected from the jugular vein of each animal and sera samples were prepared. Samples were then tested for brucellosis by using Rose Bengal test(RBT), plate agglutination test(PAT) and tube agglutination test(TAT). Among 362 small ruminants, irrespective of species(sheep or goat), diagnosed highest in TAT, 2.21%(n=8) and lowest both by RBT & PAT, 1.93%(n=7) and it is concluded that TAT is superior than RBT and PAT.
Household Income Dynamics and Wage Inequality In Bangladesh: Evidence From Hies 2010 And 2016
Al Mamun,MD. ARFANUZZAMAN,NUSRAT JAHAN NISHAT 중앙대학교 경제연구소 2023 Journal of Economic Development Vol.48 No.3
The study used the Household Income and Expenditure Survey (HIES) data from 2010 and 2016 of Bangladesh to examine the effects of human capital (education, experience) and social factors (age, gender, location, economic activity) on income using the OLS and IV (2SLS and GMM) regression methods. The study suggests that both education and experience positively affected income in both rural and urban areas. The gender wage gap, rural-urban wage gap, and industrial and service sector wage gap all climbed to 44.1 percent, 19.4 percent, and 5 percent, respectively, in 2016, much higher than in 2010. It has emerged that both urban males and females earn significantly more than their rural counterparts in both periods. The study found a wage dominance of the service sector over the agricultural and industrial sectors in 2016. Besides, the gap between the agricultural and non-agricultural sector’s wages decreased significantly in 2016, indicating decent wage growth in the agriculture sector. As both human capital and social factors have a remarkable contribution to income, strategic planning, and investment are required to reduce inequality and wage gaps and advance inclusive development in Bangladesh.
