As an ode well-known throughout the history, ode to lotus is very familiar to everyone, old and young, man and woman. However, such issues as to what degree the people of each generation in the past and at present accepted it, what characterizes their acceptance of it, and whether Zhou Dunyi is the author, have been neglected. This thesis makes an attempt to have a brief exploration and sorting of these issues, which seem minimal and are therefore ignored, and it also has some textual criticism and analysis on it based on the related materials.

A new androstane derivative, 4β-methyl-15-oxa-14β-androstane-7-ene-4α-carboxylic acid (1) and a known one 4β-methyl-15-oxa-14β-androstane-7-ene-4α-hydroxyl (2) were isolated from the EtOAc extract of the cultures of the fungus Marasmiellus ramealis (Bull.) Singer. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR as well as MS spectroscopic data analysis. The inhibitory activity of two isolates against acetylcholinesterase (AChE) revealed that compound 1 exhibited definitely inhibitory activity.
Somatic mutation patterns and compound response in cancers
( Ning Ning He ),( Na Young Kim ),( Suk Joon Yoon ) 생화학분자생물학회 2013 BMB Reports Vol.46 No.2
The use of various cancer cell lines can recapitulate known tumor-associated mutations and genetically define cancer subsets. This approach also enables comparative surveys of associations between cancer mutations and drug responses. Here, we analyzed the effects of ∼40,000 compounds on cancer cell lines that showed diverse mutation-dependent sensitivity profiles. Over 1,000 compounds exhibited unique sensitivity on cell lines with specific mutational genotypes, and these compounds were clustered into six different classes of mutation-oriented sensitivity. The present analysis provides new insights into the relationship between somatic mutations and selectivity response of chemicals, and these results should have applications related to predicting and optimizing therapeutic windows for anti-cancer agents. Nd, MgO codoped near stoichiometric lithium niobate (Nd:MgO:SLN) is a promising laser gain crystal for infrared laser generations. We report on, to our knowledge for the first time, the planar waveguide formation in Nd:MgO:SLN crystal by MeV carbon ion implantation at dose of 1014 ions/cm2. The guiding properties are investigated by using the well-known m-line technique and end-face arrangement. The refractive index profiles of the waveguides show a typical “well + barrier” distribution, which could confine the light propagation in a non-leaky way. In addition, a numerical simulation of the light propagation shows that the waveguide modal distributions are in good agreement with the experimental data, which means potential applications for the formation of designable devices in Nd:MgO:SLN by using carbon ion implantation. Objective: Although endoscopic drill has the advantages in manipulation and hemostasis, whose low efficiency and blurred vision reduce the efficacy of lumbar endoscopic unilateral laminotomy with bilateral decompression (LE-ULBD). The present study was designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of full-visualized trephine/osteotome in the LE-ULBD surgery for severe lumbar stenosis. Methods: Fifty-seven severe lumbar stenosis patients who underwent LE-ULBD between January 2020 to January 2023 were enrolled, who were divided into drill and visualized trephine groups. The medical records including demographics, operative duration, intraoperative electrophysiological findings, postoperative hospital stay or hospital stay, postoperative outcomes and complications were retrospectively reviewed and analyzed. Results: A total of 57 patients included 15 in drill and 42 in trephine group were enrolled in the study. There was significant difference in the pre- and postoperative visual analogue scale and Oswestry Disability Index scores in both groups (p < 0.05). The mean operative duration in the trephine group (101.05 ± 12.18 minutes) was shorter than that in the drill group (134.67 ± 9.68 minutes) (p < 0.05). There was no statistical difference between the 2 groups in electrophysiological monitoring, posthospital stays, postoperative outcomes and complications. Abnormal free-electromyography (EMG) were recorded in 2 (13.3%) and 5 patients (11.9%) in the drill and trephine group. Intraoperative somatosensory evoked potential changes occurred in 3 (20%) and 3 patients (7.1%) in the drill and trephine group and all patients recovered immediately when surgery ended. No serious complications and recurrence occurred in all the patients. Conclusion: Full-visualized trephine/osteotome has been approved to be convenient, safe and efficient in our study, which combined with translaminar inside-out technique and EMG monitoring especially free-EMG may offer a new choice in LE-ULBD surgery for lumbar stenosis patients.
Synthesis and Characterization of KTiNbO5 Nano-particles by Novel Polymerizable Complex Method
Ning-ning Wang,Yun-xiang Lan,Jie He,Rui Dong,Jin-song Hu 대한화학회 2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.9
The layered KTiNbO5 was successfully synthesized with titanium(IV) isopropoxide and niobium oxalate by a novel polymerized complex (PC) method. The morphology and structure of the as-prepared sample was characterized by means of High-Resolution Transmission Electron Microscope, powder X-ray diffraction, and Laser Raman Spectroscopy. The spectral response characteristic was recorded by using UV-vis Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy. Results show that KTiNbO5 as-prepared by PC method presents an uniform morphology of nano-particles, the mean particle sizes is ca. 28 nm corresponding to the (002), and the crystal structure can be well indexed to the orthorhombic phase. The sample as-prepared by PC method has higher band gap energy than that of the sample prepared by a solid-state reaction method due to the quantum size effect.
Highly AC Voltage Fluctuation-Resistant LED Driver with Sinusoid-Like Reference
Ning Ning,Zhenxiao Tong,Dejun Yu,Shuangyi Wu,Wenbin Chen,Chunyi Feng 전력전자학회 2014 JOURNAL OF POWER ELECTRONICS Vol.14 No.2
A novel converter-free AC LED driver that is highly resistant to the fluctuation of AC voltage is proposed in this study. By removing large passive components, such as the bulky capacitor and the large-value inductor, the integration of the driver circuit is enhanced while the driving current remains stable. The proposed circuit provides LED lamps with a driving current that can follow the sinusoid waveform to obtain a very high power factor (PF) and low total harmonic distortion (THD). The LED input current produced by this driving current is insensitive to fluctuations in the AC voltage. Users will thus not feel that LED lamps are flashing during the fluctuation. Experiment results indicate that the proposed system can obtain PF of 0.999 and THD as low as 3.3% for a five-string 6 W LED load under 220 V at 50 Hz.

A novel Schiff base N-(2,4-dinitro-phenyl)-N'-(1-phenyl-ethylidene)-hydrazine has been synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, IR spectra and UV-vis spectrum. The crystal belongs to monoclinic with space group P21/n. The molecules are connected via intermolecular O-H···O hydrogen bonds into 1D infinite chains. The crystal structure is consolidated by the intramolecular N-H···O hydrogen bonds. weak intermolecular C-H···O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into intriguing 3D framework. Furthermore, Density functional theory (DFT) calculations of the structure, stabilities, orbital energies, composition characteristics of some frontier molecular orbitals and Mulliken charge distributions of the title compound were performed by means of Gaussian 03W package and taking B3LYP/6-31G(d) basis set. The time-dependent DFT calculations have been employed to calculate the electronic spectrum of the title compound, and the UV-vis spectra has been discussed on this basis. The results show that DFT method at B3LYP/6-31G(d) level can well reproduce the structure of the title compound.
