This paper examines the integrated QR code payment service (QRIS) adoption by retailers in Indonesia. Indonesia started its cashless journey in 2017 by using electric money in card form. As the country keeps developing, Indonesia has planned to integrate its payment towards a cross-border payment using QR codes by 2025 in the South East Asian region. Facing government vision, MSMEs that act as the significant economy wheel in Indonesia was required to be prepared to face the multi-cultural, multi-currency, and the new tech innovation for doing transactions. However, as a developing country, Indonesia faced significant problems with its infrastructure, which made it hard for merchants to access digital payment. As infrastructure was a common problem for developing countries, Indonesia also faced financial inclusion, lack of digital knowledge, a high amount of cash use, and socialization that made low digital payment penetration. Therefore, as there was a need to increase digital payment penetration for ASEAN integrated payment, this study found that merchant compatibility, facilitating conditions, trust, and relative advantages are drivers for MSMEs using this payment method. Further, this research provides propositions for banks, financial institutions, and governments to develop and evolve towards a cashless ecosystem, especially for a country lacking infrastructure.
Active Surveillance for Favorable-Risk Prostate Cancer: A Short Review

Active surveillance is becoming a more widely accepted management strategy in men with low-risk localized prostate cancer. This is in recognition of the knowledge that most men with such cancer are likely to die from other causes. The obvious benefits of active surveillance are reduced morbidity by delaying or avoiding radical gland therapy. These advantages should be balanced against appropriate selection criteria and triggers for moving to radical therapy while on active surveillance. The optimal method by which to identify the small number of men who will progress by use of clinical, biopsy, and imaging data is yet to be defined. Nevertheless, active surveillance is an appealing management option in selected men with prostate cancer and represents a solution to the significant problem of the overdiagnosis of clinically insignificant disease that accompanies prostate-specific antigen (PSA) screening.

We describe the creation of a percutaneous transhepatic bilioenteric neoanastomosis with the aid of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in a patient suffering from a complicated bile leak after extensive hepatobiliary surgery. Access to the afferent bowel limb was safely performed in a single-stick manner via transhepatic approach with the aid of real-time navigation fluoroscopic imaging generated by CBCT arteriography. CBCT confirmed access of the afferent limb and absence of peri-anastomotic vessel damage, allowing the successful creation of a bilioenteric neoanasto-mosis, resolving the patient’s biliary leak. The patient is alive and asymptomatic at 12-month follow-up, demonstrating patency of the percutaneous bilioenteric neoanastomosis.

Studies of the communication between men and women have shown that males are usually the controlling participants during the communicative event when the other participant is a female. This study explores the possibility of the female being the dominant participant in the communicative event by correlating the nonverbal communicative behavior of both the male and the female with the outcome of the communicative event in a consumer based setting. The results are then discussed showing the participant who is in control of the communicative event.

This article is concerned with the remarkable development of technological and economic capabilities by Korean and Taiwanese firms, particularly in electronics, and Indian firms in software and a few other fields. While the cases differ in many aspects, they all involve active learning, in some cases through reverse engineering, requiring a considerable amount to technical and economic sophistication. All of them also involved selling on sophisticated markets which provided both feedback and pressure to learn rapidly and well. The cases teach us a lot about the mechanisms involved in successful technological and economic catch up.
Gene-Specific Repair of 6-4 Photoproducts in Trichothiodystrophy Cells

TTD1BI cells are non-hypersensitive to UV irradiation and perform normal genome repair of pyrimidine dimers but fail to excise 6-4 photoproducts and, concomitantly, are unable to restore RNA synthesis levels following UV irradiation. This pointed to a detect in gene-specific repair and this study was undertaken to examine repair of 6-4 photoproducts at the gene-level. The results indicated a defect in gene-specific repair of 6-4 photoproducts in active genes, although strand-specificity of 6-4 photoproduct removal was essentially similar to that of normal cells. These findings indicate that the near normal UV resistance of TTD1BI cells may be due to the inability of these cells to remove DNA lesions preferentially, as well as to the cells opting out of the cell cycle to repair damage before resuming replication.
CREATING A BIOFUEL WITH BOKASHI

The purpose of the experiment was to investigate whether ethanol could be produced in a sustainable way to validate its use as an alternative fuel. This was tested by fermenting onions, apples, potato and cheese over a period of two weeks using Bokashi. The ethanol produced by the food was then collected and measured to determine which food yielded the most alcohol. To further test whether the food was a sustainable option, worms were added to the waste after the two weeks of fermenting. The purpose of this was to see whether they could survive in and condition the waste products into compost capable of growing crops. The results of the experiments suggest that onion was the most efficient at producing ethanol, followed by apple, potato and, finally, cheese, which did not ferment. All three fermentable foods that were tested managed to sustain worms for the entirety of the experiment, indicating that the food scraps remaining after fermentation could further be used as a compost to grow crops in. Furthermore, this could be done at a community level to increase the health of nearby farmlands and gardens, and to offer economic benefits for the production of ethanol.
